Delta was expected to have impact as far east as Pensacola, but path predictions have shifted west. Order to evacuate coastal tourists and visitors from Baldwin County has been rescinded

In response to the threat from hurricane Delta, the state of emergency enacted on October 6th for Alabama included evacuating coastal tourists and visitors from Daughin Island and portions of south Baldwin County. That order now officially rescinded by Governor Kay Ivey. With the threat of Hurricane Delta now far to the west, visitors and tourists can occupy the white sand beaches and emerald waters of Alabama again.

Hurricane Delta was originally predicted to have quite an impact as far east as Pensacola, Florida. Along with rapidly rising and falling in power over the last 4 days, Delta path predictions have shifted west as well.

While we certainly will continue to pray for those in the affected areas, we will also breathe a sigh of relief to hear our friends in the ECBYO.com coverage area will be spared further hurricane trauma, especially those still recovering from Hurricane Sally.
