It’s trite, but it’s not the stuff you have…it’s the memories you make and making memories is one of the most important part of our lives. As children, we fell in love with the ocean, both by visiting it with family and then by revisiting it in our imaginations over and over again. We both wanted nothing more than to be on the water all day. That fierce attachment to water set our vacation path and our vacation home ownership path in motion. Whether that attachment meant spending more time in our vacation home, taking more trips to the ocean, or inviting more friends and guests to come share the experience, it was those things that turned out to be the predictors of our later-life satisfaction and contentment.
