Hello I was fortunate enough to spend March, 2024 in Cotton Candy Skies. The weather was not as nice as I had hoped so I made daily use of the south facing porch area. The kitchen has nearly any appliance you might need if you choose to cook. I however took advantage of the close restaurants and convenience store, The Trading Post. This unit has comfy beds, crisp linens, personable touches through out. My monthly rental rate was (IMO) reasonable. AND the best part, everyone was friendly, the beach within a short walking distance, the heated pool was even closer! I felt safe and comfortable in this neighborhood. If I had an issue the owners were quick to respond and always helpful. I hope to stay in this unit next March! So go ahead make your reservations. You and your family will have a great time at Cotton Candy Skies, Barrier Dunes on Cape San Blas.
Susi, thank you for the kinds words. We love our snow birds and are thrilled you enjoyed your month-long stay. You are welcome back any time!
Mark
This was a lucky, last minute wonderful find for me! I needed a nice destination in this area and was grateful this condo, so close to the beach, was available on short notice. The hosts were wonderful and flexible with the details and the pricing. It was a great value for the money, plus weather was wonderful as was the beautiful walks on the beach. Next time - I need to plan better so I can stay longer. The condo was cute and clean and it was a nice, peaceful break! Definitely recommend the location, this condo and the hosts were very quick to respond.
Mark, we are glad you found us and hope you're able to return for a longer stay!
Katie
Adam and Sarah’s place was perfect for our family of five to have plenty of space. The location was great and access to the beach was a very quick walk. The beach was perfect and even at the height of Spring Break on a perfect beach day we had a huge section of the beach to ourselves. Their place allowed for us to cook meals, but was also close enough to walk to get dinner or ice cream. The dolphins swimming by the beach in the afternoons and the fighter jets were an added bonus! Loved this spot and hope we can visit again!
Katie, we are thrilled that you all had a wonderful Spring Break trip to the Cape. You never know when a free dolphin show (or air show!) will grace you right on the shoreline! You were excellent guests and we hope to host you again.

After finding Adam and Sarah’s listing, I got serious about committing to spending Jan/Feb 2023 in Florida. I had a million questions about Cape San Blas and Barrier Dunes. Adam was so helpful which made my decision to book the condo easy. The condo is beautiful and well maintained. The pictures are a true representation of their place. My Mom and I felt very comfortable there. The condo is well appointed with everything you’d need for your stay. Their Welcome Book was very detailed with instructions about the check in/check out process and included sightseeing venues, restaurants, etc. My Mom plays pickleball and they had a set of pickle balls with a sweet welcome note displayed on the counter for my Mom when we arrived. If you’re looking for a great place to stay in a great Florida location…..don’t hesitate to book with Adam and Sarah. They are great to work with and you can be assured your stay will be wonderful. Ours certainly was.
Cathy, thank you for the kind words. We are delighted you and your mom enjoyed your stay during the winter. It's people like you that make it enjoyable for us. We hope you are able to return again in the future!
Sarah
This condo was very clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach. This unit has fast and reliable internet which was great for working remotely. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you, Sarah! We're glad you were able to enjoy the beach while working remote. You all are welcome back any time!
Stephanie
We’ve been to Cape San Blas several times but this was our first time staying at Barrier Dunes. It was awesome! We loved this property. It was very clean and the mattresses are super comfortable. This unit is literally right next to the playground which is perfect if you have kids. Our little one wakes up early so it was nice to just walk out and go straight to the playground and entertain her while I had my morning coffee and watched the sunrise. It’s just a short walk to the beach but it’s nice to see the little pond with the gazebo along the way. There was a beach wagon that the owners kindly let us use making it much easier. Speaking of the owners, they are so accommodating and kind. They made sure we had all the information we needed and even gave us some helpful tips about the Cape. And they even had a booster seat dropped off for our toddler without us even asking for it!! So kind! Would stay here again.
Hi Stephanie, thank you for the kind words. We strive to make your family's vacation perfect, especially for the little ones. Please keep us in mind when you return to the Cape!
Anastasia
This was our first visit to the Cape and we absolutely loved it! Sarah and Adam went above and beyond to give us recommendations on what to do and where to eat. The condo was the perfect size for our family and right across from a playground. The beaches were never crowded and a short walk from the condo. We would definitely stay there again and absolutely appreciated their hospitality!
Thank you for the kind remarks, Anastasia! We're so glad your family was able to enjoy the Cape for the first time. Hope you are able to come back next year!

The condo was nicely equipped and beautifully decorated. Plenty of room for 6! The owners were very responsive to emails before and during the visit and provided information for first-time visitors to Cape San Blas! They also had a great variety of beach gear which came in handy during our stay! Wonderful location as we were close to the state park! The beach by Barrier Dune was also amazing!

First visit to the Cape and it did not disappoint. My family had been searching for the perfect spot for a summer vacation which would also be the destination for my daughter's surprise engagement. Needless to say, the sunsets on the Cape made for a breathtaking backdrop for the perfect engagement. Adam and Sarah proved to be the perfect owners. The townhome has been decorated to perfection and has a well stocked kitchen, movies and even an assortment of games. The beaches were beautiful, never crowded and the water was calm and crystal clear. My family could not have dreamed of a more picture perfect vacation. Will definitely be back.
Thank you, Angela. We're honored you chose our slice of paradise for your family's vacation and daughter's engagement! How exciting! We know you'll cherish those memories for a lifetime. We hope you all return again next year!
Rach
We had the best time ever. The beach was gorg and close and the townhouse was beautiful and has everything we needed. Sarah was a great host and answered all our questions right away and we will deff stay there again!
Thank you, Rach! We're glad you had a good time and enjoyed the house. You are definitely welcome to stay here again next year!

In vacation rentals, there are owners and there are hosts. Adam and Sarah are Hosts with a capital H. Everything mentioned in the reviews above combines to give the sense that they welcome you, and want you to thoroughly enjoy your stay. Spotlessly clean, a kitchen with everything you could possibly need, well-equipped bathrooms-check. Charming decor and yet feeling spacious-check. Even a garage closet packed with beach items for you to enjoy. The complex itself is well-kept and has plenty to offer - even pickle ball courts! It’s a very short and pleasant walk to the beach. Additionally, working directly with Adam and Sarah, the communication is outstanding. We had no problems during our stay but knowing help was only a phone call away if we did was a big plus. The location by the state park is great. For us, it had the added benefit of being “just down the road” from Rish Park. If you are traveling with someone with mobility or balance issues this a completely accessible state recreation area - a walk-in Olympic size pool, and a mile of beach reached by a ramped boardwalk. It does require a Florida parks day pass but if you order it online the cost is only $4 per day. We highly recommend Adam and Sarah and Lost at Sea. We are looking forward to going again!
Hi Jan, thank you for the kind words. Sarah and I try very hard to make it a perfect vacation for families. We're glad to know it was convenient to Rish Park as well. They do an extraordinary job providing accessible beach experiences. You all are welcome back any time!

Our family had an incredible stay here for the week of the 4th! Great community, perfect for teens and kids to ride bikes safely in a gated community. 2 pools and easy walk to the beach. The townhome was absolutely perfect. Incredibly clean, really cute decor, kitchen had everything we needed and more, mattresses were incredible. The homeowners literally have thought of everything. We will 100% be back!
Hi Katie, thank you for the excellent review. We try hard to make sure your stay is perfect. We hope to see you all again in the future!
Pilgrim Family
Our first visit to the cape and the Lost At Sea owners made it a great one! In the days leading up to our stay, Sarah was so gracious to give us tips on local dining and shopping, ideas to keep our kids busy and what to expect in comparison to other Popular Florida beach areas. The condo was cozy, comfy and super cute with many popular upgrades. They literally thought of so many small things that were above and beyond. The kitchen has everything you need to dine in after a long day at the beach, there are books and games to keep the kids busy, a playground just steps away, chairs and toys in the outside closet, covered parking, keyless entry, an awesome entry area for storing sandy shoes and beach bags, and comfy beds to relax when the day is done. One of my favorite spaces was the back deck (I literally napped here after lunch EVERY day!) The beach and pool were just a short walk away and was NEVER crowded. The community was welcoming and felt safe. We were quite comfortable with our kids walking together to/from the pool without us (ages 8-18) when they’d had enough sun fun and just wanted to chill. Our 15 yo got up early every morning and ran while we were there. Our only issue was with the AC one day. I wouldn’t even mention it but it really should be noted that Adam had someone there within 15 minutes. A quick fix and we were all set. I don’t think I’ve ever had service like that anywhere I’ve ever stayed. Lost At Sea is definitely a great place for any family but when you add the attention, care and friendliness of the owners, you cannot go wrong! Our first visit to the Cape was a success and we will definitely be back.
Thank you for the kind words! We're glad your family had such a good time, it brings smiles to our faces. :) We hope to see you all back next year!
Debbie Lee
Our family loved staying at Lost at Sea. Nicely updated and super comfy beds/pillows/linens. The kitchen has everything you need for eating in. The close proximity to the State park was perfect for us. Great playground for kiddos directly across from unit. Would happily stay here again!!
Thank you, Debbie. We're glad you enjoyed your stay!
Heather
We love this condo and will be back! It’s nicely updated - has a wonderful kitchen, spacious living room with a nice deck and the bedrooms are very nice, spacious and comfortable. We loved relaxing here each morning and evening after the beach and snuggled in together during the rainy day that we had. Great movie atmosphere! We really loved all of the small things they included - they had everything we needed! The decor is modern and welcoming, the flooring is perfect for a beach condo and the kitchen is truly fantastic if you want to stay in and cook! It’s a short walk to the beautiful beach on the Gulf side of Cape San Blas and the pool deck is awesome! The unit also faces a great playground on sand, enclosed by rope, where our kids played and met new friends while we got ready for the day. The condo is situated near the end of Cape San Blas so it’s not very crowded on the beach. It is also located right next to a state park that faces the gulf as well as the bay between Cape San Blas and Port Saint Joe with beautiful water. It’s an easy 15-20 minute drive to Port Saint Joe for wonderful restaurants and it's a short drive to Appalachicola as well. We highly recommend Indian Pass Oyster Bar for great food and live music as well as the cute doughnut “shack” 5 minutes from the condo! If you are looking for a great condo for a quiet, uncrowded beach vacation, this is the place for you and your family! Great place to unplug and reset!
Thank you for the excellent feedback, Heather. We do everything we can to make it the best. We hope to see you all again in the future!
