Description

5 bedroom with Unobstructed Gulf Views, Private Pool, walk to Trading Post!

Beautiful 5 bed 5 bath private home, 3 king master suites, ground floor Queen apartment, bunks, and unobstructed views!

MAKING WAVES is a beautiful and comfortable home with four master bedrooms including three Kings and a Queen, a private pool and awesome, unobstructed beach views with no homes in front of it. Cape San Blas is known for its clear, clean, aquamarine water, sugar-like sand, tall dunes, stunning views, and secluded location. Today it is getting harder and harder to find a quiet place to soothe away stress. Well, this is the place!

A great beach house professionally redecorated in the Spring 2019. The home has two open sun decks, and covered top floor deck all with beach and Gulf views while overlooking the pool. The house is located in a private setting just steps to the beautiful pet-friendly beaches of Cape San Blas.

The ground level has plenty of space to lounge around or enjoy the in-ground pool located beach-side, surrounded by a large, fenced yard. This is definitely the chillin’ and grillin’ zone. Just add a drink, shaken or stirred, and you have the makings of great days and nights. There is a large outdoor private shower. Just off the pool deck and detached from the remainder of the house is the Queen bedroom with mini frig. The en suite bathroom has a walk-in shower and vanity.

The main level starts with our fully equipped kitchen where you will find everything needed by cooks at any level. Some fresh shrimp, oysters or fish is all you need to create the perfect beach dinner. Don’t forget steaks on the outdoor propane grill. You will also find the spacious living area with plenty of room to hang out, play games, or just relax and watch a good movie. It has a large flat screen TV with cable and free WiFi. This level is completed with a bunk room and beach view king master with en suite bathroom with separate shower, a large garden tub and double vanities There is also a flat screen TV and blue ray DVD player. This master opens to the sun deck.

The top level has the second beach-view king master with flat screen TV opening to the sun deck, also with an attached full bath. Across the way is a third beach-view king master with another flat screen TV, its own private full bath and access to the deck with its spectacular views.

This home has WiFi because we understand that you may have to stay in touch.

Conveniently located close to the bike path that you can travel miles up the beach. Convenient to St Joe Shrimp Co. for fresh shrimp and a wide variety of other Gulf seafood. Across the street is the Trading Post for morning donuts, afternoon ice cream cones or any of your other needs.

Pets are not allowed and pool heat can be requested for additional fees. No events over the occupancy of the house are permitted and there is a minimum age limit for renters.

Why Come Here

Of course, that starts with the location. Walk directly to the ocean. Steps away from one of the most beautiful, wide sugar white sand beaches on the planet, this kid and pet friendly beach is simply amazing. Many days you will see dolphins playing off shore with pelicans, sandpipers, and sea gulls sharing the neighborhood. Giant loggerhead turtles annually select the cape for nesting. One of the highlights of this beach is its seclusion and privacy.

There are lots of ways to catch the views. Enjoy your morning coffee or late afternoon beverage watching from one of the decks, complete with screened-in porch facing the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and sparkling emerald water.

We love the sunsets. At twilight this is the perfect spot to marvel at the sun dropping silently in the gulf. Although, if you listen hard you would swear the sun’s going under makes a sound like the last plink of a skipping rock. Following sunset, an amazing display of the Milky Way and stargazing awaits. This is truly paradise found and a dream come true! Make MAKING WAVES your home on the beach!!!

Local Information

The State Park on the north end of the Cape has 10 miles of sugar white sand. This park is one of the top rated beaches in the United States, rated #1 by Dr. Beach in 2002. Sunbathing, shelling, snorkeling, swimming, bicycling and fishing are popular activities. A boat ramp which accommodates most trailered vessels is located at Eagle Harbor. Some of the highest dunes in the nation are found here as well as some of the last remaining habitat of coastal sand pine scrub. St Joseph Peninsula State Park has an abundance of wildlife and provides excellent opportunities for bird watching and wildlife viewing. The park is extremely popular during scallop season (July thru Labor Day).

The fishing is superb, either in the surf out front or minutes away in St. Joe Bay, where Tarpon make their yearly appearance in July and August. Cobia, Pompano, Redfish and Speckled Trout help make the Cape a fisherman’s paradise. Other activities include diving for scallops in late summer, crabbing, and beach combing. The surf is normally low, making for excellent swimming and kayaking.

4th stay and better than ever    Oct 05, 2024

We enjoyed our stay so much in April that we booked again for fall break! The house was wonderful and the location is perfect for my family. The house is spacious and the views from the decks are spectacular and perfect for watching the Cape sunsets. Jenny is always so kind and responsive. The beach access was flat and such an easy walk for my small child to go to the beach. Making Waves is the perfect getaway for my family and I’m counting the days until we can stay again!

Amazing home    Apr 24, 2024

This is my third time staying in Making Waves and it somehow gets better every time! The hot tub was a great addition along with umbrellas now around the pool! I could tell the HVAC was replaced and the house was easily temp controlled. There was plenty of beach and was such an easy walk. With the trading post, Peachey’s and Joe’s Shrimp Co. you never have to get in the car if you don’t want to. The views are amazing from the decks. Jenny is always so personable and quick to answer any questions we have! We can’t wait to stay again here soon!!

Family Vacay    Oct 08, 2023

First time to stay in CSB and we loved every second of it. The house was so great! Loved everything about it. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, decor was great. Loved the balcony looking out to the water. Sunsets were gorgeous. Payed to have the pool heated and the temp was perfect with the cooler temps, though we spent most our time at the beach! The owner was great to work with. We walked to get ice cream, seafood, donuts and shop at the trading post which are a very short distance to the road. A perfect location. Only downside for someone older was the steep drop off up and down the sand to the beach. Overall it was a wonderful trip and would recommend this house and location to anyone considering it.

Can't wait to go back!    Sep 30, 2023

This house was amazing and met all of our family's needs! The downstairs apartment was perfect for the grandparents to have a ground floor room and extra quiet from the grands. The younger kids loved the bunk beds and the older kids loved having their own space in the flamingo room with bean bag bed. The three king suites were perfect for our group and we especially loved coffee and cocktails on the sunset facing balcony with ocean views. The pool was a nice treat on hot days and we appreciated the addition of pool umbrellas. Being able to walk to St. Joe Shrimp Company, Weber's and the Trading Post, and my favorite, Peachy's, was the icing on the cake. Can't wait to go back!

The house is very roomy and great location. Beautiful beach very short walk. Nice to have the Trading Post close and it was well stocked. The pool is the best spot when it was hot. Walking the beach great too! Beautiful sunsets and pleasant evenings made the trip a pleasant memory. Would definitely come again.

Vacation 2023    Jun 17, 2023

We stayed in Making Waves for a week; while the house was OK, the beach access was not. There is no boardwalk unless you count going down an aluminum ladder propped up against 8/9 dune. The third day of our stay, the ladder was washed away by a storm; so, sliding down the dune and running to climb back up wasn't an easy feat especially with a 4 mo old and a 3 year old. Also, there is no beach off Tobago Drive. Be prepared to walk till you find enough beach to pitch your tent/chairs. Positives about the house: hot tub is great, pool is OK, decks are very nice, WIFI is good, walk to Trading Post/St Joe Shrimp Co is convenient and Jenny is very helpful and quick to respond when obstacles intervene during stay (washer died/AC went a little crazy, small leak in downstairs suite). The "bunk room" is basically a bunk bed in a SMALL room where washer and dryer are located. Just enough space to lie on bed. No room for large suitcases or much storage for clothes--not sure I would even consider this a bedroom--maybe laundry space with bunk beds squeezed inside.

Convenient, beautiful house, easy beach access    Nov 19, 2022

We stayed 5 days in this house before Thanksgiving. We could easily walk to the Trading Post, Weber's doughnuts, and the Shrimp Company. The pool was heated and a nice feature. The house comfortably slept our party with 3 kings, 1 queen, and twin bunk bed. The kitchen had everything we needed. Looking forward to our next stay!

We loved our stay in this home! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. We loved the pool and spent alot of time around it and in it. The beach is an easy, flat walk and all the beach gear we needed was provided. Walking to get donuts, ice cream, and any supplies we needed was a huge plus. Will return!
