Cape Villa - BAY VIEWS - SWIM SPA, Cape San Blas, Florida Vacation Rental by Owner

We had family from Michigan and Florida stay here to spend the holidays. It was the perfect location for our long-anticipated vacation! The facilities are spacious and immaculate, the kitchen is huge and easy to cook in, the porches are lovely, it's a short walk to the beach, the swim spa was so much fun! It was also really nice to have all the bathroom/bedrooms/living space on one floor, especially if there's anyone with mobility concerns in your party. We would highly recommend anyone staying here (and are already looking at potential dates to come back!).

Great house, great subdivision, great house, great times!!!!!!!!

I stayed at this lovely property with my wife and kids, as well as my parents and sister. We all had plenty of room within the property and enjoyed the large open floor plan. The bedrooms and private bathrooms were perfect and spacious. The pool and beach access were within a short walking distance, but we did rent a golf cart which made it a bit easier to carry our stuff back and forth.

The property is nestled in a very quiet and small community, we absolutely loved it. The beaches were desolate and beautiful and we had the pool to ourselves the entire week. We ate at Cone Heads (we recommend the surf and turf burger), which is maybe a two-minute drive from the property, as well as Shipwreck Raw Bar (get the raw oysters and crab legs). We also enjoyed the short drive to the St. Joe Shrimp Co. for scallops, stuffed crab, oysters, and souvenirs, and would then walk right next door to the Trading Post for groceries and ice cream. If you are looking for activities along the coast, we highly recommend Sand N Spur for horseback riding; Karmin was amazing.

We absolutely loved our time in Cape San Blas, and the property was amazing. We not only highly recommend it, but we are already discussing our return trip!

A large group of us recently stayed at Mare Vista on Cape San Blas. Perfect set up for a large group with four bedrooms and four bathrooms (multiple bathrooms a must!). Common area was plenty big for our group with a nice bonus in the expansive screened in outdoor patios. Our group spent a good deal of time on the patio when we weren’t at the beach.

The property management team is nearby and very responsive via text. The pool heater was broken when we arrived, but hey we’re homeowners and we get it. Stuff happens. They had a team of guys there working on it first thing that week. They also made a point to bring us a high chair and playpen for my little one which was much appreciated (we had enough to haul from Oklahoma).

The beach isn’t a far walk, but highly recommend using a wagon or two. They’re a beast to get up and down the stairs but worth it if you’re making a day of it at the beach. And remember - leave no trace!

Make sure to take at least one day to drive into the nearby state park and explore the bay side. Cannot overstate how much we enjoyed seeing the sea life over there - mainly crabs but we did see a stingray or two and a young man nearby caught several baby sharks while we were there - a little worrisome to some but pretty cool nonetheless!

Would recommend Peachy’s just down Cape San Blas road for lunch or dinner and either of the ice cream stops there near the general store. Mahi mahi tacos and grouper sandwich were excellent. If you’re headed back into Port St Joe for shopping or a bite, try Joe Mammas pizza. Pizza was delicious and the clam chowder could not be beat.

Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

The Cape is beautiful...all that you want without the business of a tourist town. We explored off the Cape if necessary, but enjoyed the house and beach just as much, the owners helped us if we ever had a question or concern, highly recommend

This house was great. We had a mixture of friends come throughout the week. One night, we had three couples and four kids, and it felt perfectly comfortable in the house. Short walk/bike ride to beach access. Not bad at all. Would certainly stay at this house again.

This is our second visit to Mare Vista. We love the quiet location, the proximity to the state park, and the cleanliness and comfort of the house. Dana makes the whole process very easy and is great to work with. We will definitely come back for another visit!

The home was spacious and beautiful. We had a wonderful week. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation or a better place to stay. The house had everything we needed. The cape and beaches are beautiful.

This was our second visit, and it won't be our last. Dana and Steve are gracious, wonderfully approachable hosts. We and our kids LOVE staying here. The convenience of proximity to the bay and the beach in the seclusion of the pine scrub is phenomenal. There no reason for us to look at other properties when visiting the norther edge of old Florida.
