I can say enough on how accommodating Phil was to meet our needs. Always prompt and efficient. We had to shorten our stay because of circumstances created by the coronavirus but our accommodation were clean and everything two people need for an extended stay.

One of the favorite homes we've stayed in over the years. It was adorable, clean and had all the comforts of home, including bird feedwes, grill(charcoal even supplied), picnic table, porch chairs with fan for extra warm days. What a delight Phil was...attentative to all our needs. It wasn't such a long drive from Ohio. we'd visit again...so affordable. Thanks you Phil for sharing this lovely place with us... you are the best.

This little cottage in Bon Secour was just the right place and location for us. It is in a quiet neighborhood and it is beautifully maintained inside and out. Although it is off the main (heavily traveled) Gulf Shores Parkway, it is conveniently close to our favorite spots. We could quickly get to Foley or Gulf Shores with a short drive. Phil provided lots of helpful information before we even left home; such as, how to avoid most of the traffic around Foley when coming in. He also had little extras like bottles of OJ, V8 juice and water in the fridge for us. Plus, there was an up-to-date local newspaper and brochures about local attractions and activities. And, he provided a binder with information about the cottage and its amenities and rental rules. Everything was clear and easy to understand. Just a great place to let go and enjoy just being alive. Definitely would stay here again.

My husband and I were booked to spend the week at this rental. We have been anticipating our first grown up only vacation in 25 years. Unfortunately, the fates conspired against us and we were unable to travel to Bon Secour for our vacation. I wanted to leave a review to say Phil was amazing to work withduring this entire process. Patient with my MANY questions, quick to reply when I contacted him and very understanding when we contacted him and very understanding when we had to cancel. Our refund was returned to my account immediately. When I say immediately, I mean within 15 minutes of my contacting him. I hope that I will get to meet Phil some day soon. If his rental is as nice as he is, it will be a wonderful stay!

Nice house, had fun owner has crab traps to use. We caught over 20 crabs made excellant hot dip and crab salad. You can fish at private dock on river. The house is a great value. We go to Gulf Shores area at least once a year and will be renting this house again next year. Phil is great if you need something he is avaiable but gives you space. Donna and I enjoyed our stay very much. There are also beach chairs available. Source Trip Advisor

We came down to visit with my parents who live in Elberta. The cottage we stayed in was absolutely spotless and we really appreciated the little amenities provided. We had coffee every day and little snacks and all the conforts of home. Everything was absolutely perfect. We only got to see Phil one day since we weren't there much and he helped us with the Heater/AC. The neighborhood was quaint and beautiful and we will definitely stayagain the next time we visit.

Dalton, Ga. last month I set up my Brother and his wife with a trip to cottage A for a week. They loved it so much that we all went back on oct 15th until today oct 23 rented both cottages and could not have been any better. When we needed anything just a quick call Phil was right there to take care of it. Just want to let everyone know quiet and peaceful close to everything. Would recommend this place to anyone who ask We will go back as often as possible Thanks again Phil Stayed: October 2016 Submitted: October 24, 2016 Source: VRBO

Cottage was very clean and comfortable. We had everything that we needed other than groceries. Location is only 15 minutes to the beach and attractions. Owner is very friendly and helpful and gave us our privacy. Great seafood stores within a mile from location for the freshest seafood. Having a grill at the cottage was definitely a plus. Ellis Grove, IL It doesn’t get much better than this. The owner is a perfectly wonderful and considerate host. Clean cozy cottage is in a relaxed quiet, safe environment. Nice location to walk, jog, bike or fish. If one so desires it is a six minute walk to the private dock or a wonderful open-air seafood market. Within 15 minutes you can be walking on the beach at Gulf Shores. We absolutely loved and enjoyed our stay. Source: VRBO

Honoraville, Alabama These cottages are small (as advertised), but served our needs perfectly. Having a washer and dryer was great. Everything you need is there. The cottage is very clean and premises well kept. Owners are extremely nice. We will be back! Source: Flip Key/Travel Advisor

My wife and I just spent a week in cabin B. We absolutely loved it. To be honest we were a bit worried about how nice it could be at such a low price, but the house is spotlessly clean, we had all we needed, and we probably saw Phil every day in case we needed anything (we didn't). Phil couldn't be a nicer guy, and at about 15-20 minutes from the beach it was just right to be accessible but far enough away to be quiet. The area is nice and seems safe, and walking to the river and sitting out on the dock was a nice way to end each day! Stayed: April 2016 Submitted: May 17, 2016 Source: VRBO

We usually camp at Gulf State Park when we vacation in Gulf Shores, but there were no campsites available, so we checked out VRBO for the first time. We were very pleased with this choice. The cottage was very affordable, was the right size for us and had everything we needed, including books and puzzles. Phil was the perfect host, especially when we had car trouble and had to stay an extra five days (fortunately the cottage was available). The location was perfect - nice, quiet neighborhood, and walking distance to the fish markets and the Tin Roof Restaurant, and 15-20 minutes to the beaches or to Foley for shopping. We will definitely consider staying here again. Thanks for everything, Phil. Source: VRBO

Wolcott, New York This is our 4th stay at these cottages. We have always found them to be clean and well equipped with everything you could want. The area is very safe and beautiful and close to the Bon Secour river. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Phil is a great person and takes pride in his rentals. He is very prompt if there is a problem and goes out of his way to make you feel like friends. Close to everything happening in the area but far enough away to enjoy nature and the quiet of a small village. Stayed: January 2016 Submitted: March 1, 2016 Source: VRBO

This may have been our seventh stay with Phil and can't say enough about how we enjoyed things. It's off the beaten path yet close enough to all the interesting places and attractions with just a short drive. My wife thinks it's like having our own little place on the Gulf. Maybe the best thing about the place is Phil, he keeps things as neat as a pin with lots of little personal touches like keeping the bird feeder filled. He's part host, part tour guide and interpreter and all around good guy. We were there a couple of years ago when there was a freakish down pour (24 inches in Pensacola). He stayed on the property all night until things settled down to make sure we didn't get flooded. He even offered shelter at his nearby home if things got worse. We're counting the days until our next visit. Stayed: December 2015 Submitted: December 29, 2015 Source: VRBO

Totally enjoyed our stay at Phil and Toni's cottage. It had everything we needed to feel right at home. Two local seafood markets close by made dinnertime a fresh and scrumptious treat. Phil was pleasant and answered many questions we had about the area. We will definitely be back.
