Even with a rainy forecast & rough waves we had a great vacation. The condo was PERFECT! My 3 boys enjoyed their bunk room, walking to all the best spots & having the choice of the beach or the pool. I appreciated all of these plus all the communication & help from Janet to make our vacation really special. We went to Alligator Alley, Fun Boats, Dolphin Cruise, Gulf State Park Pier (fishing) - all an easy drive. We walked to the Hang Out, mini golf, snow cones, and lots of souvenier shops. Almost every night we walked to find another great meal. The beach across the street is Beautiful. We were able to do all the things from an amazing home base. Thank you Janet for opening your home to us. We will be back!!

It was quiet around here. Lots of people didnt come. We spent our last day at the Hang Out taking photos and enjoying the beach at night. See you again next year. We love the new couch and chair, but not the median out front. Thanks for the use of the beach wagon.

Sand Dollar #9 was the best choice we could have made for our stay in Gulf Shores. The condo was everything we expected from the listing and more! Janet communicated with me every step of the way, from booking to check out. The condo included all the amenities you could possibly need, comfortability, and convenience. The beach cart, umbrellas, and chairs saved us from having to bring all of those things with us or spend vacation money on those items. Also, the walk to the beach from the condo was nothing! We could walk out of the condo, cross the street at the crossing right outside to the beach, set up for the day, walk up to Sea and Suds for lunch, or walk back over the condo with ease. So convenient! There is a really nice beach mart right at the crossing where you can also grab essential items or souvenirs as needed. Waffle House is literally right next door! The pool area was really nice and right below the condo. We would come home from the beach, rinse off the chairs and umbrellas with the hose right near the pool, then jump in the pool or just relax in the porch swing. Again, the convenience of this condo was just phenomenal. Lastly, everyone that we encountered during our stay was incredibly nice. From cleaning crews to the handyman, all the various auxiliary staff that we had the pleasure of meeting were friendly and accommodating. The Sand Dollar is a well cared for complex! The best part about our stay was the communication with Janet. We had clear written instructions for check in, how to take care of the condo while we were there, and how to check out. Janet included a guide on how to get around Gulf Shores, where to eat, and where to play. She was also available via text as needed during our entire stay. Great trip to Gulf Shores thanks to Sand Dollar #9!

Janet's place was in a great location, with Easy access to the beach ( right across the street) and minutes away from restaurants and activities. The condo was nicely decorated, fully stocked! ( especially the kitchen; with dishes and appliances), clean and Janet took special consideration to the 'little things' that you may forget to bring on vacation. Definitely felt like home away from home. Looking forward to our next vacation already!

Everything was perfect! Janet is a great host and made us feel very welcomed. She thought of all the small details, providing us with paper plates to use, a new cooler and sand toys for the kiddos. Janet is very considerate host and thoughtful. The condo is well decorated, clean and very comfortable so much better than a hotel. Great location near the beach, convenience stores and neighborhood restaurants. I really enjoyed the convenience of having a washer and dryer. It came in handy with plenty of extra beach towels. I completely recommend her place!

Our favorites were Lamberts café in Foley and Gulf island Grill. The Gulf Zoo has cool encounters for the whole family. We got to pet baby lemurs. Although there is a new full size washer and dryer there is a Laundry facility on site for $1.25 per wash/per dry with 5 washers and 5 dryers if you need more room to wash. You will also have Free, assigned parking, located under the condo with space enough for 2 normal size vehicles. Maximum of 2 cars allowed for renters. Additional parking is available at the back of the property but you are so close, you may not even need to drive anywhere so Sit back and relax.
