Beautiful condo with Spectacular views
This 4 bedroom condo was immaculate and stocked better than most homes! The views were spectacular especially during night thunderstorms. The beach has fine white sand with turquoise green water. A beach bar/restaurant was just down the beach that was great for lunch/early dinner. Pool at condo was very nice. Beach was clean and not over crowded. Condo could have more luggage carts available. Owner was very responsive to any of our needs.

Nice location; all amenities
Very nice condo. Adults used weight room and enjoyed it. Patio furniture was plentiful and very sturdy. It was nice having the “raised” view. It was also very quiet. The inside furniture was nice and comfortable. The only negative is that the pool was small and really designed for standing, not swimming.

Laura and Ed are fantastic! Everything was perfect! You will really enjoy your beach time in this condo. Laura has thought of every possible detail. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could need. I made meals all week and found everything I needed. We loved it and will return!

Family Christmas

A beautiful relaxing location
Wow, we were thoroughly impressed by this lovely condominium. It was clean, well maintained, and luxurious. We were a family of 8 and this place was very spacious and comfortable to accomodate all of us. We loved the beautiful balcony where we had breakfast every morning. The 11th floor is great! High enough to eliminate noise pollution, but still low enough to hear the waves and enjoy the views and watch the dolphins swim by. There isn't anything negative to say about our stay here. The location is close to everything and convenient and the beach is nice and clean with soft white sand!!! We definitely plan to return. Thank you for making our vacation a wonderful experience ! We were very pleasantly suprised!!!

The Colonnades = Perfection
The Colonnades (#1103) gave my family a place to enjoy a week at the beach. The condo was clean and well stocked. The location was absolutely perfect and the private beach access allowed us an area on the beach that was calm and not overly packed. The pool was clean as well! The main level of the condo was meticulously cleaned and the amenities were everything we could have wanted. If you’re looking for a place with a perfect layout, a great owner, and a great location, this is the place for you!

Great stay Great location
We had a great vacation. Working with Laura was fantastic. When you walk out the door until you are sitting on the beautiful beach it’s less than 5 minutes. Any questions you have Laura is on spot with her responses. Great location, Great vacation.

Our second stay!
This was our second stay at the property and will definitely stay again. Great communication with the owner and plenty of room for our family. Having access to pack n play, high chair, toys and beach stuff is a bonus when traveling 10 hours and not having to bring these items. On the beach and views are amazing!!!

2019 Family Vacation
The building was very clean. Pool area was great, with covered area for when we had enough sun. Condo was comfortable, although it is time to replace the living room furniture and repair the leather lazyboy so you can lean back without fighting it. We did not have enough towels/wash cloths for everyone, and the extra pillows had no pillowcases. We should have contacted guest services, but we just dealt with it. The master bath needs a deep cleaning. We had a problem with the sliding glass door off living room, making access to the balcony very limited when the master bedroom was occupied. We were put on a list for repair, but had to wait 3 days for the door to be fixed. The owner was very good to work with and tried to help with any issue we had. Overall, I definitely would stay in this owner’s unit again.

Great location, nice condo
This condo is just as it appears in the pictures: large, bright, and open. The bedrooms were not cramped, and it was really great having one bathroom per bedroom. The owner, Laura, was friendly and responsive.

Nicest condo we have stayed in at Gulf Shores
We have been vacationing in Gulf Shores for 30 years and this is by far the nicest condo that we have stayed at. Nicely furnished, roomy, comfortable master bed, large balcony, nice linens, fully stocked kitchen, nice size washer and dryer. There were 8 of us and we all had a wonderful stay! Thank you!

Beautiful condo! Breathtaking views! Loved the huge balcony with a large table and 6 chairs. There was still room for 3-4 lounge chairs also. Really nice space for our family. Master bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was modern and well stocked. Could have used a larger non stick skillet but made do. Pool area was nice. Like the boardwalk to the beach. Would stay here again. Great place!

This condo was everything it was listed to be. The balcony on the 11th floor left us with a great view of the ocean and beach. The pool was great. The condo had everything we needed to make our stay a pleasure. The condo was well maintained. If you are looking for a place to stay where the beaches are great and you can sleep quiet every night you have found it. The owners were great and helped me thru the rental process.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully decorated and very spacious condo! I am always nervous booking vacation rentals for my family because if it isn't as good as described, well, I get the blame. haha! This condo certainly was everything we anticipated. We have two new babies in the family, so we were pleased to find a basket of toys for tots! The beds and sheets were very comfortable, although the pull out sofa wasn't that great. But are they ever? The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, cookware, etc, however, we found the cabinet layout a little lacking. Each morning we enjoyed our coffee from the balcony while watching the dolphins play! The wifi quit working the 3rd day we were there. However, I don't think it's the property's fault. We were there during the busiest time of year, so I'm sure internet connections were slow everywhere. I'm just happy my niece was able to finish her online mid-term before we lost service. I would like to say, although we loved the room, the balcony, the view, the soft sheets, the pool and hot tub, the property's best amenity is LOCATION! Not only did we have plenty of room on the beach, while other complexes were shoulder to shoulder crowded, the convenience of being so close to restaurants, shopping, and other activites without heavy traffic was a VERY nice surprise! I would definitely recommend this property and condo to anyone! My family approved and so will yours!

This condo is amazing! It's on the 11th floor and has a GIANT balcony with a great view of the gulf. The condo has 3 nice regular rooms and a fantastic master bedroom with a large bathroom complete with 2-person shower and a jacuzzi. The condo is well-maintained, has nice furniture, and comes with a lot of the daily necessities (plates, dishes, towels, utensils, etc.) Would definitely stay here again. Loved it!

This condo is nicely appointed with all the amenities and space needed for a great family beach stay. We stayed 6 nights with our two grown daughters and their children (girl 5 yrs plus 3 boys 3, 5, 8). There was plenty of room for sleeping/chilling. The kids played on the beach ALL DAY building sand castles, boogie boarding and sea shell collecting. We all swam in the pool after dinner. The kitchen gave us plenty of room for cooking family dinners (we never dined out because no one wanted to leave). The balcony was great for people watching and our binoculars were great for watching birds and all the water sports like para sailing and jet skis. It is located close to a state park which is protected, keeping us away from the crowds. We did not have to wait for elevators (like similar larger complexes) and the beach was right there! We found a slice of heaven and peace away from our everyday work- life. We all agreed our family built memories to draw from for a lifetime!

We really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room, and the condo is very well located. It is beautifully decorated. I thought I would not like being on the 11th floor as well as I have staying on lower floors, but we really liked it and spent most of the time out on the balcony. There was a storm one night, and with the wrap around windows, it was really pretty - if you like storms. The kids went out on the beach more than they usually do and even walked down to the fishing pier. I would recommend this condo and the entire facility very highly.

Overall, it is a wonderful, spacious condo with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. The floor plan is great and the outside balcony is great with a high table for six plus 2 lounge chairs. We found the beds to be very comfortable and the bathroom and laundry areas were great. It was a easy walk to the beautiful beach plus the pool and the hot tub were very nice! We would definitely return to this same condo for another family vacation. Also, the owners were very helpful and easy to get in touch with!!
Recommended for: People with Disabilities, Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers.

I always thought I had to go to Florida or South Carolina for a place like this, but I was wrong. A great place to go with the whole family. Looking forward to going again.

This condo is roomy and has all necessary amenties. The view from the balcony is wonderful and the location is within walking distance of anything you need. The area is nice for morning runs as well. Ran out of hotwater daily due to the size of our party but otherwise great!!!

This is a wonderful 4 bedroom, 4 bath condo! A condo with 4 bedrooms can be hard to find in Gulf Shores and this one does not disappoint! The owner is very friendly and answers emails very quickly! This building is one property from the east end of the beach so it is not quite as busy on the beach in front of the condo. The pool area is nice also. I loved the fact that the locks were a keypad so that you never had to worry about who had the keys. This condo is well worth the money and we will definitely stay here again!

Our stay at The Colannades in Gulf Shores could not have been more ideal. The accommodations were excellent. The condo was beautiful, well-kept, well laid-out and spacious. There were 10 of us and we were able to spread out and never felt cramped. The multiple balconies and wall of windows were a definite plus. It was equipped with everything we could have needed. It was in close proximity to shopping, good restaurants, fun things to do, and best of all, right on the beach. Wonderful experience and I highly recommend!!

This was our first experience renting a condo on VRBO, and everything went very smoothly. We had two families (a total of 11 people - 4 adults and 7 teenagers) spend a week in this 11th floor condo at The Colonnades and it was perfect. This condo is very nice and with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and a sofa sleeper, we had plenty of room. The kitchen was nice and we cooked many of our meals there. We had enough room for everyone to sit at the bar or the table to eat. The laundry room in the condo was nice to have, and we were able to do many loads of laundry and dry our beach towels and swimming suits daily.  Access into the condo is by keycode, which was very cool. We were able to set our own code, which everyone knew, and we didn't need to keep track of any keys. The building amenities include a nice pool, hot tub, small fitness center and sauna on the main level, which we all enjoyed. Views out the windows and off the balcony were great, and listening to the ocean and feeling the Gulf breezes as we ate and drank on the balcony was priceless. The beach was awesome. It was deep (plenty of room) and the sand is like flour. There is only one condo building between this one and the Gulf Shores State Park, so the beach in front of the condo is not very crowded and you can walk up about a mile of open beach along the Park. The owner, Laura, was very nice and quick to respond to our emails prior to our trip, and quick to respond to our only problem during our stay (wrong size linens for the sofa sleeper). Plenty of parking was available, and we always were able to find a spot underneath. Rented 2 chairs and an umbrella on the beach for 4 days for $80. Well worth it, and the attendant was very nice. He gave us a great recommendation for dinner - Shipps Harbour Grill in Orange Beach (one of the best meals we have ever eaten). Our families had a great time and highly recommend renting this condo.

Our family visited Gulf Shores and we really enjoyed it there. This condo was perfect. The gulf front view was awesome and we spent lots of time on the large balcony enjoying the view and watching for dolphins. The beach has soft white sand and pretty shells. The water was so clear and the beach was clean. The condo is very large with 4 nice sized bedrooms each with its own bathroom. All the linens, carpets, curtains, comforters looked new and clean. The place was just super comfy and it felt like home. The kitchen was furnished with more than enough dishes, pans, flatware, blender, coffee maker, etc. There were only 6 of us staying at the condo, although there was plenty of room for more. We like to have our space and be able to spread out and relax, and we sure were able to do that there. There were always plenty of parking places in the lot and there is a security guard as well. There are 2 elevators and there are also carts available to load luggage/ groceries on so you don't have to carry it all. The pool is heated and covered in the winter/spring and is quite large. Our daughter really enjoyed it. The building is next to the state park area so you don't feel so closed in by concrete. If you walk east on the beach you get to look at sand dunes, not buildings! The building is close enough to walk to The Hangout and some of the tourist shops. The owners are so easy to work with and answered all our questions promptly. I would recommend this condo and we hope we can return to Gulf Shores and we will definitely stay there again. There are so many great places to eat, and lots of things for kids to do at Gulf Shores. We really enjoyed The Hangout, LuLu's, Tacky Jacks, and riding the go-carts at The Track.
