When you want to head into town, go to Gulf Shores Public Beach and visit the various restaurants, shops, and cafes that make this coastal area so unique. If you are after a bit of adventure away from the sand, head over to Gulf State Park, just five miles away, for some kayaking, fishing, or hiking.
