This house was perfect for us and our guest. It was close to everything, but still had a local feel. Minutes from everything and conveniently close to shops, ocean, general stores, night life, and The Wharf. Plenty of indoor activities as well. Our back fence was right up on the state park . The house was clean and very accommodating. Planning on future visits!!!
We have moved round the corner so only 100 yards from the pool. Now 4 bedrooms; we would love to have you back.

While the home is smoke free, a table and chairs for smokers is available in the back yard. You will find a well-equipped kitchen with a new dishwasher, microwave & a second refrigerator. Also, convenient to the kitchen/living room is the bunk room with TV and Wii. Cable TV with EVERY known channel and Wi-Fi is throughout the house (no limit to file size) and in the living room we offer unlimited streaming with a 60" smart TV. After a long day at the beach or shopping until you’ve dropped, enjoy a long soak in your private hot tub or a splash in the community pool close by. The living room has a leather couch and love seat, perfect for watching movies or playing games. Close to the living room is a game table that seats 4 which can also be used for dining for those of us who enjoy TV while eating. The dining table off the kitchen seats 8, with stools at the bar for 4 – a perfect set up to enjoy great food and conversation anytime of the day. Then at the end of it all, you will find the Master Suite with a luxurious king size bed, a large bath and a private office. The second bedroom features another KIng Bed, the third bedroom has two bunks and a single bed while the fourth bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds. All the bedrooms have TV's with cable feed and programs may be recorded and watched later. The second bathroom is conveniently located between the second and third bedroom. We also supply a Pack N'Play and a high chair for the smallest visitor.
When you want to get away from the sun and fun, Anny's House is just the spot for some cool game playing. The air-conditioned recreation room features a very fine 8' pool table with balls for pool, billiards and snooker and you will have a chance to play the only decent game for 3 players, Clock Billiards. Enjoy the Ping pong and Foosball table. There is a second refrigerator so you will always have plenty of cool drinks. Outside is a private shower (H+C) to wash off all that sand after a busy day at one of the many public beaches and before getting in the 7 person Hot Tub. Of course, no southern backyard would be complete without a BBQ grill with table and chairs. While all this relaxing and cooking is going on, some of the gang can take a quick dip in the neighborhood swimming pool (key access) which is only 100 yards away. Lounge chairs are provided at the pool. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Public Beaches are only 5 miles away where you will find free parking and restrooms. There are many public beaches and boat launches close by, a short drive. The driveway has room for four cars.
Anny's House is 'just like home' or better! All possible delights to make your vacation special are included from the superior quality beds to the many games provided. Your only regret will be that you have to leave at the end.

Regional details.
Orange Beach is a quiet area just a short drive from Gulf Shores (West) and Pensacola (East).
Attractions
Gulf Shores is home to “The Little Zoo That Could” - Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, just up Gulf Shores Parkway, survived three hurricanes. Pay a little extra when you visit to get up close and personal with the animals - it’s definitely worth it.
For other non-beach fun, visit OWA!
Parks and Wildlife
The 7,000-acre Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is simply stunning. Several endangered species make their homes in the dunes and flora here, including the Alabama beach mouse and sea turtles. Nearly 400 different bird species live or migrate here throughout the year, and if you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of an armadillo or red fox. Explore the maritime forest on the casual, 1-mile Jeff Friend Trail, or take the more strenuous, 2-mile Centennial Trail to explore forest, swamp and dune landscapes.
Gulf State Park is another great option for a more relaxed nature experience. See beautiful sand dunes and lakes here or relax on the bone-white beaches. Take a stroll or bike on scenic trails - most of them are paved and have wooden lookouts over the marshes. Take the easy Alligator Marsh Trail along a little canal to see frogs, turtles and yes - perhaps even small alligators! Just watch out for the sharp Saw Grass.
Another great trail is Middle Lake, which starts at the Nature Center and winds around the 150-acre Middle Lake before meeting up with Hurricane Ridge Trail. You’re sure to see alligators floating in the lake during the summer!
Mobile Bay Day Trip
Head up the coast toward Mobile to visit Meaher State Park - a 1,300 acre park on the Mobile Bay wetlands near the city of Spanish Fort. Take a walk on the boardwalk to see the Mobile Delta in all of its glory - a coming together of the Alabama, Tombigbee and Tensaw Rivers, ripe with wildlife and beautiful flora. Then, head up to Mobile to climb aboard the historic battleship USS Alabama. The 680-foot ship spent 37 months in the Atlantic and Pacific during World War II, earning nine battle stars. It’s been in Mobile since the late 1960s, along with another WWII veteran, the USS DRUM. You can explore these vintage water vessels along with other retired military vehicles. It’s a true historical treasure.
Festivals
Gulf Shores is home to two must-visit annual festivals: Hangout Music Festival and the annual Gulf Shores National Shrimp Festival.
Every May, Gulf Shores hosts one of the largest and best music festivals around. Come to listen to some of the biggest names in music - everyone from Stevie Wonder to Ellie Goulding - and do it in style: right on the beach. After jamming out to your favorite tunes with thousands of other sweaty fans, refuel at the seafood tent with oysters on the half shell and peel and eat shrimp, or cool down in the Gulf of Mexico or on the giant inflatable water slide.
For one weekend every October, everyone in this little beachside town gears up for the Gulf Shores National Shrimp Festival, which starts right at the end of Highway 59 near The Hangout - a beachside staple in the Gulf Shores dining, music and party scene. Restaurants set up tents along the beach, vying to please the most visitors’ palettes with options ranging from gourmet shrimp concoctions to homey street food-style - all of it fresh. There are cooking competitions, live music, a children’s village and a fine arts tent as well.
