Romar Tower, Orange Beach, Alabama Vacation Rental by Owner

Condo in well maintained older building. Major issue. That we had no to secure the unit on from the inside. There was a miscommunication with a handyman who walked in on us without knocking. Unit does need some furniture updating like mattress for both king size beds. While the dishwasher and dryer worked they need updating. We stayed 6 weeks so it was more of a bother than if you are there for a week. Balcony furniture was comfy and view was wonderful. New windows helps to cut noisy from Phoenix V. I bought own sheets because of length of stay and was glad as the ones on the bed were very thin. Again if you are staying a week not a problem. The owner sent a repair man quickly when we reported a running toilet. There was ample dishes and kitchen ware. I’m sure owner will be updating sofa and love soon. Internet usage was great with dish tv and a we were to easily use or own firestick. Unit was clean.

The condo had everything we needed and the owner is very communicative and very sweet. We would stay there again!

Perfect quiet getaway.
The Condo just had new windows and doors put in was a little dusty, but I will say they were absolutely wonderful at keeping the noise out. Access to the beach was easy and continent. We thought we would be a little closer to the shopping as it said within walking distance. There aren't sidewalks so I would definitely recommend taking a vehicle if you venture into the city for shopping or restaurants. Would I stay again YES...Would I recommend YES!

Great week in OBA!!!
We couldn’t have asked for a better week in Orange Beach!! The condo was just perfect for our needs and accommodated our family and friends just fine. The floors were a bit sandy when we arrived but it is a beach condo so grabbed the broom and took care of it. The kitchen had what we needed to cook meals a few nights while we were there and the pantry really was useful too. What we loved the most was the fact that it is a smaller building so the pool and beach were never too packed and it felt more relaxing. Laura was so great to work with and we were even able to check in about 20 minutes early since we got in a little earlier than anticipated. That was much appreciated! The beaches were beautiful and so clean and there was so much within a couple minute drive of the condo - grocery, restaurants, things to do, etc. We will definitely be back as we wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you!!

Wonderful Family Location
We had a great week in Orange Beach. The condo was very comfortable and well stocked. There was some remodeling going on in the condo next door so we had some noise issues during the day but most days were spent on the beach or in the pool. Maybe they could start later than 7:00 am. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

Nice beach
Beautiful views. Would have been better if we had known about the construction. We would have been prepared better. Bad weather but that is no ones fault. The owner was very nice to work with. She responded promptly to any concerns we encountered. She was very helpful after the massive hail storm damaged both our vehicles.

Beach trip 2020
Enjoyed trip, easy access to owners. They supplied us with extra parking pass for my handicapped son-in-law. Maintenance was quick to fix door pad to beach and broken button on elevator.

Great Family Vacation
aaaIts can be hard determining the best plsssssssssation by Finding a vacation rental by looking at a few pictures online can be challenging, but this condo did not disappoint. The location was perfect, and being housed in a smaller building with less condos (people), there were no issues with parking, the elevator, using the pool, or getting to/from the beach. As for the condo itself, it was just what the family was looking for. We had 5 adults and 2 kids (ages 6 and 11), but we were never on top of each other with the amount of space the condo provided. And what can I say about the balcony, except that it was amazing. It truly is an extension of the condo, with a great view of the beach and ocean. Dealing with the owner, Laura, was a wonderful part of our beach rental experience. From the moment I booked the condo, Laura was personable and available any time I had questions. And with the keyless entry, check in/out was the easiest I have ever experienced. Overall, we had an incredible time in Orange Beach. Thank you Laura for sharing your home with my family!

Wonderful Vacation
This condo is just what we were looking for with its spacious layout. I was worried that it may seemed cramped with the 10 people, including three children, that stayed. but with the three bedrooms and two baths it never felt overly crowded. What really made this condo stand out from the other that I have rented was the fully stocked kitchen with most everything needed, pots, pans, silverware, plates, even a waffle maker that the kids loved! dealing directly with the condo owner was pleasurable as well. She even made sure to leave some sand toys for the kids to use on the beach! She was prompt in all correspondence as well as being through in everything we needed for our stay. No surprises! There is many things for everyone to enjoy close by. Shopping is within minutes of the condo so very convenient if you need anything. While there may be bigger and fancier condos near by I was so thankful I chose to rent this condo. Super easy access to the beach, the balcony that offers a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. No waiting for the elevators that I've had in the past. So if you are looking for a condo that is reasonably priced and has everything you need for a great vacation I would recommend renting from Laura, I know i will be on my next trip to Orange Beach!

Super Location
We enjoyed our stay very much. The location of the condo couldn't have been better, very close to restaurants, stores and entertainment for the kids. It was the first time we had experienced night crabbing, and wouldn't have known about it if it hadn't been for the owner telling us and then going above that and leaving headlamps and buckets for the kids. Super thoughtful!! If I had to mention a negative, and it's a small one, the equipment to clean the condo was sub-par. Vacuum didn't have a canister to collect the sand/dirt. Fortunately there was a broom and dustpan, but was a little bit harder to clean the floors.

Nice condo with lots of room and. comfortable beds and living room furniture; family friendly complex. Not crowded at pool or beach because it is not huge complex. Located near great food and close to Gulf Shores with even more options. Zoo small but not disappointing at all. Owners so easy and enjoyable to deal with. One of our better vacation spots.

Our family of four decided to do something different for the holidays, so we decided Orange Beach. Laura was so awesome with table and chairs set on the balcony. We were also given buckets for the kids to play with it. Check in was easy with the access code that we received and we were given some awesome suggestions of good places to go eat. This will not be our last time. It was great and we made a lot of memories.

My (pregnant) wife, two kids (ages 4 and 2) and I had a very lovely experience at this condo during a recent 6-day visit. We couldn't ask for a better location at this price: an elevator ride down 5 floors and maybe 75 paces until we were on the lovely sand of Orange Beach. Not only was it convenient to beach-visits, but it was also clean, comfortable and the owners were genuinely kind and accommodating. The pool, though a bit small by comparison, was spotless and perfect for our situation with small children, with a covered picnic area conveniently nearby. The condo itself is spacious enough to comfortably add a few more, but the four of us relished the extra room. All in all, this was a great experience and we know exactly where we'll be staying next September when we get back to the beach! We recommend highly.

Our family of three spent the week of Thanksgiving here at the condo and even had some company join us for the holiday. The views are fabulous, the weather was still nice enough to beach - comb and for my husband and our son to throw the football around. Spacious living with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony, playing at the beach, and watching the sunset from our condo. Relaxation at its best. Even though we cooked a lot at the condo, we managed to try a few local spots and loved Papa Rocco's for the best pizza and live entertainment. The Original Oyster Bar was great too. Have already set up to return for Spring Break and can't wait. The owners of this condo are the friendliest and super to work with. No doubt that we will continue our stays and recommend to others.

This was our first visit to the Alabama coast after many years visiting Myrtle beach. It will not be our last. First off, Laura was a gem to deal with. She was prompt, thorough and quick to reply. She should write a book on condo management! Everything that she advertised was as promised. Beds were extremely comfortable and interior was in exceptional condition. Keyless entry was so appreciated upon arrival because there was no need to check in at a management company office after a long drive and no need to worry about who has the key while at the beach. Just go to the door and punch in the code. Because it is a smaller building, elevator wait time was minimal. Beach was not crowded as it appeared at nearby large condos. Pool was always clean and welcoming for a quick dip after a long day at the beach. Condo could sleep 2 couples and still have room for 4 kids in room with bunkbeds. (Not sure of what the max persons allowable is.) Do not hesitate to rent this condo for the week. You will not be disappointed.

Our visit to this condo was perfect. We took our 19, 15, and 11 yr old children. Our balcony overlooked the ocean and the pool. This building is one of the smallest along this stretch of beach, but that meant that there was less traffic in the elevator and boardwalk. We set up our chairs on the beach and left them there all week. We felt safe letting our 11 yr old swim in the pool alone. The beds were comfortable and the condo was very clean when we arrived. There was plenty of room in the bedrooms to store our clothes and accessories. The building next to us was 25 stories tall and had a great waterslide/lazy river set-up, but we would not have felt safe lettIng our 11 yr old go unsupervised had we stayed there due to the large number of people in the water all the time and high volume traffic in and out of the building. This condo made our trips to the beach super quick. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked most of our meals at the condo. The neighborhood wal-mart market and a Publix grocery store are just down the street. Foley (about 15 min away) has an outlet mall and many other things to do. We ate at Doc's seafood in Orange Beach TWICE. They have an amazing lunch deal and other great selections as well. We ate at the Desoto seafood kitchen in Gulf Shores once and it was great as well. The crab legs were wonderful and very affordable. This was our first trip to Orange Beach and we loved everything except the traffic around Mobile, AL. At one point, it took us 4 hrs to travel 80 miles! Try an alternate route !!

The owner was very easy to work with. The condo is clean and comfortable. The view is incredible from their deck which includes a table too. The key pad entrance was convenient. It is nice that this condo unit is smaller so front seating on the beach is easy to achieve but you are right next door to some huge condos. We enjoyed eating at Lulus. Although you are reluctant to pay for seating the wood recliners with umbrella available on the beach were very nice so we could stay beachfront longer. Very relaxing vacation.

We love to hear comments like this. I do strive to be very easy to work with. I also love hearing that the condo is clean and comfortable because my cleaners work very hard to make it so and I value those qualities myself. I hope people reading this review understand that what the reviewer was saying was that our building is smaller, not that our condo is because it is a 1,400 square foot condo, and so because it is a low density building there is more room on the beach in front of our condo. There are only 35 units in our building which makes our beach front much less crowded and more family friendly than in the huge buildings with hundreds of units.

The condo was exactly as described. This was our first visit to Orange Beach after many spring vacations in Daytona. Laura couldn't have been more friendly or helpful for our visit. The condo was clean and neat. No problems at all. Thanks Laura!

We loved staying at this condo! It's right on the beach, and the beach itself isn't crowded at all. We never had to wait on the elevator, and having the keypad lock instead of a set of keys was SO convenient. It's exactly as pictured in the photos - no surprises at all. The owners are super-responsive and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again!

I have just returned from fall break at Orange Beach and I was very pleased with my accomodations. The owners were easily contacted by email and phone leading up to my stay. It was so easy to go straight to the unit and have a keyless entry pad that we changed to a familiar number. No keys to have to keep up with or return. The photos can not describe how spacious this unit is. Even the bedrooms were spacious. Loved having a TV in each bedroom. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking equipment. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony which is big enough for table, chairs, side table and lounge chair. This unit is directly ocean front; not a side view of the ocean as some are. It was just a very short walk to the beach, which was not crowded at all. Since this building only has about 40 units, our area of the beach felt like a private beach. It was more crowded both east and west of us. So thoughful of the owners to provide a welcome basket of snacks, sunglasses and sunscreen and beach toys. I definitely hope this unit is available when I am able to return to Orange Beach.

We rented this condo for two employees that needed a well deserved vacation. The both raved about the wonderfull accomodations. The unit was very nicely decorated and included all the necessary items for a comfortable stay. We would definately rent here again!!

My family and I loved this condo! It had many things to offer that were important to our family: VERY clean, open and spacious, large balcony with table and chairs, large bedrooms with a nice chaise lounge in the master. There was a nice welcome basket with crackers, chocolate, sunscreen and other things. The condo itself was also nice in that it was not too large so using the elevator was never a problem and just walk out and you're on the beach. The condo owners were also very helpful and easy to work with-always a phone call or email away, anytime that I had a question. I recommend renting this condo - you will not be disappointed but very happy. Orange Beach is a beautiful, clean place with all of the shop owners and restaurants very happy to please.

The kids loved that when we walked in there were sand buckets & swim rings sitting out welcoming us to the condo. The rooms are very spacious & the balcony was huge!!! This condo exceeded my expectations greatly. The balcony is enormous and the view of the beach and pool was spectacular. We could go from standing on the balcony to laying on the private beach in a matter of minutes. The bedrooms were very spacious and everything was very clean.kitchen stocked and ready to cook in.. You immediately feel comfortable from the minute you walk in the door..there is a very peaceful vibe about the place. Feels like a home away from home. This is a perfect condo for a big family trip, a guys weekend, or even a romantic getaway for two. I will be back the next time I'm in OB.

My friend and I took our kids here for their spring break. She brought a 9 year old, and I brought two 10 year olds and a 20 month old. There was more than sufficient room for all of us to be very comfortable. The condo itself is very relaxing and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to eat in, which we did a good bit of the time. If you do want to eat out, I highly recommend the restaurant within walking distance across the street. It is called Wintzell's and it was delicous. All 3 bedrooms were nicely sized, and the master has sliding patio doors that go out to the huge balcony overlooking the ocean. Also, if you do have children, you can see the pool directly below you to keep an eye on them, talking about our good swimmer 9 and 10 year olds ofcourse. The living room and kitchen are also nicely sized, we did not feel cramped at all. You also have a beautiful view of the ocean from the living room and let's not the forget the lovely view off the balcony. I definaltely would recommend this condo to friends and family going to Orange Beach.

We loved our stay here! We were so excited when we walked up and found there was a keypad for key less and card less entry. We changed the number to one we could remember and it was great!! We also loved that we didn't have to track down the place to check in and check out. The bedrooms were so spacious! We didn't feel cramped here like we have felt in other places. The kitchen was very well stocked. We cooked almost every meal there easily. Our two year old loved the chaise lounge in the master bedroom. She has said several times since coming home, "I want to go to beach." We are coming back in May and we are so excited to be staying here again!

Stayed at this condo, week of 7/26-8/1-2010. It was the best condo I have ever stayed at. The view is out of this world. just have to be there to picture the beauty. The condo is so spacious, large rooms, the bedrooms were bigger than the ones in my own house!! I had not seen this condo till i got there, and was very pleased with everything. The owner really takes care of the renters. We had a welcome basket , with items we had never even thought of. There was microwave popcorn, candies, lotion, great items!! The beds were very , very confortable, slept better there than at my own home! While in the condo,, i did not hear any noises from the condo next to us, never heard anybody running in the walkway or any up and down the stairs or elevator!! Loved the pool area, and of course the beach!! Looking out to the beach from the balcony-- having coffee, or meals out there,, what a way of life!! The coloring of the condo,, was very soothing,, nothing over the top. They had a beachy theme, but not over powering. Just wanted to let everyone know that the space in the condo, was more that i ever could have imagined, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, washer dryer, nice size kitchen, big living room, and nce size dinning area. I'm booking this place again for next year!!! june

Sounds of the Gulf lulled me to sleep as I napped on the balcony chaise during a lazy day. When I had to finish some work, the WiFi connection allowed me to still be on the balcony--typing away--and enjoying the sun, the water, and waves. Time on the beach was enhanced by the lawn chairs at the condo. Cooking was a breeze with the full-sized refrigerator and stove, microwave, and a full complement of pans, dishes, and utensils. Watching a movie on the DVD player, or an older one on VHS was a nice change on the one rainy day we had. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the unit, the friendliness of the owners, and the comfort. Beds had great mattresses and I slept very well. I loved having a washer and dryer right there so I could go home from vacation with clean clothes. I'll definitely return next year and will most assuredly recommend this property to friends and relatives.

We stayed at this condo mid-July and loved it! It has a huge balcony with a table outside and plenty of chairs. The balcony overlooks the beach and the pool. From the masterbedroom I was awakened in the morning by the sounds of dolphins playing. It was wonderful! The condo is spacious and clean. It easily accomodated our family of six.It has an elevator for those who cannot climb stairs. The kitchen comes fully equipped. I especially enjoyed the blender for my smoothies in the morning. It also has a washer and dryer.It has a big screen TV and couches. The dinner table seats six and it also has overflow at the bar.The owners are very easy to work with and I would stay here again!

I stayed at this condo during Spring Break 2009, with my two young children. The condo is perfect for families; the bedrooms are spacious with plenty of closet and drawer space, the living room is comfortable and open with a big-screen TV and a gorgeous view of the beach below, and the kitchen is so clean and roomy, with a bar that seats 3 in addition to the dining table. The beach is spectacular, absolutely ideal for kids to enjoy! Soft, clean sand and a shallow bank where they can run and splash in the ocean. Can't say enough about this lovely condo; we didn't want to leave, and we can't wait to go back!

We stayed at this lovey condo Feb. 19-22 and loved it. The view is spectaular.Even though the weather was cold for Orange Beach, we walked on the beach and feeling the salt mist on our faces was delightful.
