This updated one-story (through April 2024) 4 bedroom, 3-bath Florida Beach Cottage is in the highly desirable Old Seagrove neighborhood. The neighborhood’s many oak trees and controlled growth has preserved many aspects of South Walton’s charm and history. The beautiful beaches of South Walton along Scenic Hwy 30A are only 2 ½ blocks (5-minute stroll) to Dogwood-Thyme Public Beach Access and 5 short blocks (5-minute walk) to Seaside’s legendary vibe, shopping, boutiques, food trucks, and restaurants.

Currently, this one-story home has 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and sleeps 12. The large screened front porch entry welcomes you with a swing and seating. You’ll enter into an open kitchen and living area with raised ceilings. The kitchen is well-appointed with stainless appliances, granite countertops, and a farmhouse sink. A large eat-in island separates the kitchen and living area with a comfy sectional sofa and 55-inch Roku Flat screen TV. The island offers a drop-down to desk level for those that want to do a little 'work'.

The spacious primary bedroom offers a king size bed. The large primary bath has double vanities and step-in shower with bench, andn separate wall and hand held shower heads.

The two additional bedrooms are queen beds. The bath for bedroom 2 has a tub-shower combination. A step-in shower is in place for the bath of bedroom 3. All baths have been updated.

A bedroom down the back hallway currently has a twin bed will add a pull-out trundle. Two queen beds will replace the twin and trundle by mid-May 2023.

Each bedroom, including the kid’s area, has its own TV with cable access. Wi-Fi (both 2.4GHz and 5Ghz networks) is offered throughout the home with extenders. The large eat-in kitchen island has a desk-level laptop/office work area. A large laundry area with a brand new full-size stack washer/dryer, and laundry sink will be appreciated after all-day at the beach.

  • The living room sectional sofa offers a queen memory foam sleeper mattress. House sleeps 12.
  • The kitchen is equipped with a drip coffee maker, refrigerator (with ice maker), stovetop, microwave, cookware, blender, dishes, and utensils.
  • The home has two central air conditioning units and two hot water heaters.
  • New saltwater pool with attached spa/hot tub, Gas BBQ grill, small charcoal grill, deck, fire pit, and backyard gathering space. For safety/security purposes home may have cameras in place at the pool area.
  • 3 steps to enter this home from the front or back. It is one story so no added stairs or steps are required once you are in the home.
  • Cleaning protocols follow PMI Purify with disinfecting of all high-touch surfaces. PMI Purify is a 10-Step cleaning process developed in conjunction with the Housekeeping Solutions Team and industry experts.

Old Seagrove is a special neighborhood. You are a short 5-minute stroll to the Dogwood-Thyme Public Beach Access. At the same time, you are minutes from Seaside, the south's landmark of New Urbanism, and regularly included on Top & Best beach and beach-town lists. Seaside also served as the primary filming location of "The Truman Show" starring Jim Carey.

Beach set rental is generally available from March to September with Vacayzen at the Dogwood-Thyme Beach Access.

My family loved our stay here! Traveling with two little ones can be challenging, but it was a great setup for kids! One of the rooms is off of the master with a trundle bed and it was great to be able to have the kids close, but still separate. The other two rooms are perfectly setup for additional guests on the other ends of the home. We loved this location! So much to do and an easy walk to the beach. We would love to return to this little hideaway for future vacations!
