Just returned from another wonderful vacation at Sand Star. We just love this condo. It's clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and a well equipped kitchen. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this unit is loved and well taken care of. Kathy is fantastic to work with, and very responsive to any questions or concerns that might come up. We've already book our next trip to Sand Star. Can't wait to get back! Pretty sure if you plan a vacation here, it won't be your last!

We just returned from 6 fantastic weeks at the Sand Star. This is a beautiful condo that is well appointed, comfortable, clean, and a kitchen that has most anything one would need in fixing meals. The location is just great. Both bedrooms have views of the fishing ponds. We really loved and appreciated the back porch, especially in the afternoon. We had shade and a wonderful breeze. The condo is just a quick walk to the beach, or either of the two pools. Kathy was a wonderful host and was fast to respond to any questions we had. We loved it so much, we've already booked for next spring. We highly recommend.

Kathy was great to work with and her vacation townhouse was very clean with plenty of room for our family. The unit was extremely well equipped and the appliances were top quality. The unit was conveniently located near a pool and a short walk to the beach. We also liked the covered parking and outdoor shower. It was one of the nicest beach condos we've ever rented. In spite of COVID, we had a wonderful stay at Sandstar and are going back. It's comfortable and well-appointed - everything we needed was already there. The 1/2 bath on the kitchen/ dining/ living area is very handy. The review about the comfortable beds and baths was correct - they're excellent. The outside grill works well - coming from a cold winter to being able to outside in an attractive area was a special treat. Kathy is quick to respond if there's a question or problem. The Barrier Dunes community is safe, attractive and well-planned - good beach access, 2 swimming pools, and 2 tennis courts. Some stair-climbing is required - there are 2 sets of stairs to reach the bedrooms/ laundry. Just plan unpacking the car accordingly!

Kathy and her family have a wonderful slice of heaven on Cape San Blas. The town house is lovely and complete in every detail. What I personally look for in a good rental is a pleasant/accommodating land person, a comfortable bed, clean accommodations and a well appointed kitchen. A beautiful setting and a quiet neighborhood are also important. Sand Star goes above and beyond in comfort and necessities. Ms. Chaney is extremely helpful and easy to work with, any issue that presented itself was quickly and pleasantly dealt with. Sand Star and it’s owners deserve at least a five star rating and I look forward to next March and another glorious vacation! Thank you Kathy and family!

Terrible place. Kept most our security deposit. Husband threatened us about cleaning the unit. Very rude people. Wouldn’t stay again. Air conditioning broke, hot water heater broke. Dryer hardly dries.
This was the worst renter we have ever had. We refunded half his deposit, we had to have sofas cleaned, since he allowed dog on furniture (and beds) and it stated in contract that wasn't allowed. My husband called him after Mr. Zomro called and used fowl language at me. Ac broke upstairs and was fixed within 1 hr. of him letting us know. The hot water heater element went out, and was fixed the next morning. These are things that are out of our control. Dryer vent had to be vacuum out due to the excessive amount of dog hair build up. His dog was the 1st and only dog that was allowed in our property. Our cleaners said, they had never seen so much dog hair on furniture, under beds, just nasty etc. BEWARE! DO NOT RENT YOUR PROPERTY TO THIS INDIVIDUAL.

Loved our stay here! Beautifully remodeled. King size beds and private bath in each room was a big plus. Loved the location on the pond and easy walk to both pools and beach. Bikes provided were an added bonus. We love cape San blas and barrier dunes. We would definitely stay in this condo again!

We are repeat Sand Star visitors and would not consider staying anywhere else! The condo is so well equipped and has all the supplies that you would ever need. The remodeled kitchen is beautiful and the beds are super comfy! One of our favotite things about Sand Star is the fact that you are right on the pond. My son fished right off the bank and had so much fun- and my daughter loved feeding the turtles! We will definitely be back! Thanks so much for a great vacation filled with wonderful memories!!

What a beautiful condo! Close to the beach and pools. Has everything you would need to enjoy your stay. We loved that it was close to the pond so we could feed the turtles. The beds are super comfortable, very clean through out, and plenty of room for my family of 5. We definitely will be back.

Sand Star is in Barrier Dunes on Cape San Blas, Florida
Sandstar is located in the "Heart of Barrier Dunes"! Recently updated, this townhome has everthing to make your family vacation or couples retreat the perfect getaway! Barrier Dunes is a gated beach side community with a gulf front pool adjacent two lighted tennis courts, playground, pet stations throughout the community, and stocked fishing ponds. Also, all streets are paved with street lights.
Charming coastal decor, Sandstar makes you feel like your "home"! The living room is spacious and has laminate wood flooring that's safe for the entire family. There is a computer desk as you enter the living room. There are two sofas (one sleeper), coffee table, 45" HD flat screen TV and a window seat. There are games and DVD's for our guests to enjoy!
Just off the living room is a private deck that overlooks the larger pond in Barrier Dunes! There is outdoor seating for four, propane gas grill and the deck also has a gate. There is also an exterior stairway that leads to the lower level of the townhome to access the enclosed outside shower.
The dining area has seating for six, farm table, plenty of room to enjoy meals or play games and put together puzzles. The kitchen is next to the dining area and has a bar area that seats two. The kitchen is completely remodeled, all new applicances, quartz countertops. There is also a pantry for additional storage. Adjacent to the kitchen is a half bath.
The second level has two bedrooms and laundry w/full sized washer and dryer. The Bedroom overlooking the pond has a large open deck with wonderful views of the pond and lots of sunshine. This bedroom has a full sized closet, chest of drawers, flat screen tv, two nightstands w/lamps and a king size bed. There is a private bath with full tub/shower enclosure.
The master bedroom has a king bed, chest of drawers, night stands w/lamps and a flat screen TV. There is a private balcony that overlooks another pond in Barrier Dunes. The private bath has a full size tub/shower enclosure and vanity. The bedrooms are separated by a long hallway where the laundry is located.
ONLY 2 VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED IN DRIVEWAY. ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING ON GRASS OR STREET. NO TRAILERS ARE ALLOWED.
NO PETS, NO SMOKING.
