This is the second year we rented the Sand'N Sea Cottage. We had a wonderful vacation. The house is very bright & cheery & was very clean. Location is good - close to pool & beach. We also enjoyed just sitting out in the front enjoying the breeze.

We couldn't have been more pleased. Upon arrival, the unit was clean and ready for us (even though we arrived a few hours early). Further, it was very well designed and perfectly suited for our family to enjoy vacation. Hands down, it's the best cottage we stayed at in Destin. Kathy and Mike Shampine (Kastle Keepers property management group) are a joy to work with from beginning to end - from pointing us in the right direction when we book our stay to making sure all is well while we are there. I highly recommend working with them, regardless of where you make your reservations. They truly are second to none!

We were all very pleased with this house. It met all of our expectations. We had 6 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for all of us. Loved that it was super close to the beach and pool and local restaurants. Kathy was great. I would highly recommend this property without hesitation. You won't be disappointed at all! Welcome to The Sand 'n Sea Cottage! Located in Beach Retreat, a gated community with only 23 cottages just across the street from the beach. It is a very short walk to a private beach access with over 300 feet of beach frontage! The neighborhood has brick paver streets lined with colorful Florida Cottages, professional landscaping, and a huge 3000-square-foot pool with a club house, sun deck, and barbecue grills! Just a short stroll from the Quaint Beach Retreat community is the private beach access. The gated Gazebo is located about 75 ft from the home. This community features a fitness center, a large community pool with fountains, lush landscaping, chaise lounges, a hot tub and pool restrooms. There is a picnic area with charcoal grills just off the pool area as well.
This home has new furniture, paint and access pieces as of Jan 2012. This adorable 3bd w/ bonus bunk room, 3 bath beach cottage is just a short stroll to the beach. This is the only Cottage in Beach Retreat that has a Gulf View! After the pool or beach, you can relax on the 2nd floor balcony where there is seating for 4 while you enjoy your favorite drink You will enjoy sitting in the eveing breeze watching the waves after a fun day in the sun! When you are ready to head to the beach, relax! We'll provide beach service ( two beach chairs and an umbrella ) during your stay ( March 1 through October ), or you can take a dip in the 3,000 square foot, heated ( seasonally ) pool with a hot tub attached or workout in the private fitness center. All just steps away from the house. .

What to do besides enjoy our wonderful beach...Should you wish to explore what the local area has to offer, you'll find an abundance of choices. Sidewalks line scenic 98 for walking, running or bike riding. We are a short 2 mile drive to the Silver Sands mall to the West, or luxury shopping at Destin Commons to the East. Kenny D's, The Crab Trap, and Pompano Joe's are all within walking distance to The Beach Retreat Cottages. We encourage you to leave menus of your favorite restaurants when you come.
For evening entertainment, Destin is known for some wonderfully upscale eateries, as well as your regular fare. Friendly night life and nearby state of the art movie theater.
The Silver Sands Outlet Mall is a vacation in it’s own right for shoppers you will have access to over 100 stores, including, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Eddie Bauer, Liz Claiborne, Tommy Hilfiger, Lenox, Nike and Reebok - just to name a few. When you need to pause for nourishment choose from Panera Bread, Cheeseburger in Paradise or Carrabba's Italian Grill.
More great shopping can be found at the Destin Commons outdoor mall. Enjoy such great stores as Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Belk, Books-A-Million & Maui Nix Surf Shop to rattle off a few. Stop for a bite to eat at the Hard Rock Café, Panera Bread, Tony’s Ristorante or Sushi Siam. If you do not want to bring your boat, one of Destin’s many charter boats would love the opportunity to take you out for full or half day excursions. Water surrounds Destin with the intercoastal waterway to the north and Gulf on the south, creating an abundance of water sports available, including kayaking, wave running, parasailing, kite surfing, snorkeling and so much more!
