We had a wonderful week at Southern Sands! Jan was always responsive and helpful. The house was cool and comfortable for our hot July stay! The pool in the backyard was key for us since we had 7 adults and 3 toddlers. It was a nice quiet street that was a 5 minute walk to the sand! I would definitely recommend Jan and Southern Sands!

This house was BEAUTIFUL!! It was so close to the beach and had so much around it! The street is beautiful, pool is amazing, the house had everything you needed. The owner responded immediately to any questions I had in reference to things for the house. I most definitely will be staying here again and recommending it to anyone wanting to go to Destin! The only minor things I can say is change would be the bed in the master be a little softer (it’s a little too firm for my liking) and the heated pool to be a little warmer, but it was a very rainy weekend when we went so that could be what caused it to be cold too. My girlfriends and I thoroughly loved this house! Jan is definitely amazing and the house is awesome!!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Southern Sands. There were nine adults and two little ones and there was plenty of room in the house. The backyard and pool were excellent especially since we had our two little grand babies. The house location is excellent. We walked to the beach and used the golf cart every day. We hope to come back a stay again.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Southern Sands. The yard is fantastic. When not at the beach the kids were completely entertained by the pool which I totally suggest to heat if fall breaking. It was great to put the young ones to bed and sit in the pool for a chat and a glass of wine with the adults. Our group went on a fishing trip and having the grilling deck to enjoy our bounty was an added bonus. Having the golf cart was a great bonus and Pompano beach access is nice and super close. We also ate out beach side several nights and the kids had a blast taking the golf cart (with a group of nine we did rent an additional cart). There are plenty of beach nets, mats, shovels, chairs, games, etc. that Jan has at the house to use. The stay was fantastic.

My family and I were very pleased with our stay at this location. The house had all the amenities we needed for a nice family vacation, which included 3 children and 1 infant. The location was perfect, as it was a short golf cart ride to the beach (1.5 blocks from the nearest beach entrance, about a mile from a large public beach parking lot). Kitchen had all the tools necessary to prepare meals at home, and the grill was a huge plus. Jan, the property manager, was extremely friendly and easy to work with. Overall it was a great experience and would recommend it to others!

We would definitely stay here again! No major issues through our stay. Jan was attentive to our needs, informative of Destin’s entertainment options and restaurants. The home is located within close proximity of the beach. Enjoyed the golf cart for short trips. The accommodations were comfortable. The pool was great and kept the entire family entertained. THE BEACH:
From the house, there are many options to arrive at the sugar white sand and emerald green waters. There are various beach accesses to choose, just one block away, just a short walk to the beach from the house - use the wagon, or rent the golf cart to shuttle beach stuff. Or, take a short ride to the one of the public beaches with extra parking, showers, bathhouse, restaurant and shaded picnic areas.
THE AREA:
The home is located in the desirable Crystal Beach, a beach house neighborhood that has the best of both worlds. It is a quaint beach house community that is very close to many activities such as; shopping, dining, fishing, boating, golfing and etc.. Also, it is the ideal location for walking, biking, or jogging on the paved path along the street to the beach.
The area is loved for some of the best fishing in the world, Destin is known as the "World's luckiest Fishing Village". In fact, the whole month of October is the Fisherman's Rodeo and Seafood Festival. There are many activities within minutes of this beach house. When you arrive, you will find the "House book" with information with things to do, dining options and etc. Many closeby restaurants and shopping available..
