Gulf Dunes 106, Fort Walton Beach, Florida Vacation Rental by Owner

This unit is exactly what we expected, and didnt really need any more sleeping space since it was just 2 of us. Apt was well decorated and kept up. Unfortunately, because this is a one bedroom the room is in the back of the condo near the entrydoor. Every morning, when the maint man came into work he checked on the garbage dumpster to check for possible fullness. The door to this dumpster area is right below the bedroom, and is very very noisy when it opens. Therefore, if u sleep in, it was a great alarm clock whether you liked it or not. It needs to be replaced or fixed so it is quieter. Good thing was the garbage shoot was right outside the door and elevator just steps away, which was good for us since we depended on it. But the grounds were always clean and picked up! We liked the frig since it had ice and water in the door which made it handy, and all the appliances are fairly new. The kitchen was well supplied with a ton of dishes, but lacked a cookie sheet. There was plenty of paper towels, garbage bags, and soap for all, for the whole month. The bed was comfortable but probably could use a new mattress in the next year or so. Living room furniture was very comfy and better than the average beat up furniture in a lot of other units I’ve seen. So we were happy with that since we hung out every nite after dinner there. Nice to have two toilets in the unit as well. The washing machine and dryer were small front loaders, so nice to do laundry, but when you use the washer the door needs to stay open for a few hours as to not create a moldy seal. Needs to have a sign on it for future renters so they are aware of it. Pool left was open and very warm so we could swim even when it was cool outside. Lots of folks used it to get their daily swim in, even tho it was February and chilly air for my taste. Kimberley Lang was great to work with, always answered back if I emailed them or called and very responsive to our needs. Top notch folks at the office which is only over the bridge from the condo I needed. I like that you have a portal for your rental that has an email portion on it so contacting was a piece of cake. We have booked this again for the next year and look forward to seeing the folks we meet this year on our return trip in 2023.

Kitchen was fully stocked with every appliances imaginable. Would suggest a larger coffee pot. Decor was cute, furniture fabric was a little faded/worn but I guess that’s to be expected. The very best parts was ease ofbooking, check-in, and check-out. It was seamless! Then there was the location of this unit! Easy access to pool and beach. The view was awesome! I would recommend and plan on booking this unit again.

The beach location was perfect and it was close to restaurants and activities.
