Pirate Theme*Private Pool*Steps 2 the Beach, Miramar Beach, Florida Vacation Rental by Owner

We don’t even know where to begin! We have stayed in the same condo in Destin for many, many years and decided this year to try something different for several reasons, one in particular being the rising cost of staying at a condo. When searching for a different property, this one stood out because of its pirate theme and in ground pool and the fact that we were vacationing with a 3 and 5 year old. After reading reviews and the rental terms that we’re flexible for length of stay during the month of May, we decided this was the best option for our family. From the very beginning, Justin and Gennifer were exceptional in communicating with us regarding our booking and answering any questions had. Upon arrival to the house, curb appeal was great! We were so excited to open the front door and explore the house. The first plus was a keyless entry! No keeping up with key fobs all week! Pictures of the house online don’t do it justice. From furnishings to appliances, intricate details and of course the pirate themed bunk room, everything exceeded our expectations! The backyard was perfect for a dip in the pool after being at the beach all day and a huge plus was the alarm system at the back doors to prevent children from going into the pool area without adults being alerted! We must also acknowledge the cleanliness of the home and high quality linens and bedding. Proximity to the beach was great versus those long dreaded treks taken in the past at high rise condos, down to the lobby, through the pools and crowds and long hauls down the beach. We were on the beach and ready for the day in less than 5 minutes! * If you don’t want to bring your own beach chairs, wagons, boogie boards, etc., you don’t have to because they also have all of the above there at the house for you! Frangista Hideaway is also in the perfect spot for coffee shops, eateries, golf cart rentals and rides and shopping all in its own neighborhood yet within…will continue in separate review

Continued…only a few minutes drive to Destin or Santa Rosa. We were literally in the middle of all of our favorite restaurants, shopping and attractions! Ah! Another plus, beach service is also available if you prefer to not take your own chairs/umbrellas. Though there are rules for not allowing tents, glass bottles, etc. on the beach, we were surprised that it was not enforced as there is no one there to enforce these rules. We also know that it is not only common courtesy that personal chairs/umbrellas are not allowed on the beach in front of paid for beach service chairs but also a rule at most beaches, however, this rule was also not enforced, so if you want a great spot without being rude and setting up in front of beach services, get there early to pick your spot for the day. Once again, we cannot stress enough how hospitable Justin and Gennifer have been throughout this entire process from beginning to end. They have been so quick to reply to all correspondence and full of great suggestions and advice. The only downside of our trip is not getting to meet them in person! Do yourself a favor and make your reservation with them today! You won’t regret it!

We stay at many beautiful rentals - but I usually have one area where things fall short. This is the first time I can say the owners have actually 100% covered ALL the bases, and then some! We LOVE to cook - and this is the first kitchen that was fully equipped with every single type of cookware - utensil - device - that allowed us to cook some fantastic meals. They did not skimp on quality either. The dinnerware and cookware was top notch! The towels were super soft and plush. They had spare blankets galore - those super soft fluffy ones. My kids loved it! And oh my was it clean. As someone who rents beach homes 3 times a year this is the first time I got into one and NO sand residue anywhere. Bravo to your cleaning staff! The decorating took my breath away. So detailed and cute with the pirate theme! And the bunk room was not your average 'cram them in' rental. The beds were huge! No cramped in twin beds here - lots of space and loads of pillows. The location - ideal. Best of both worlds with a private pool and then just cross the road and go swim in the gulf. The kids used the bikes nonstop. It was a real treat for us to have a truly walkable location. Several coffee shops, ice cream shops, souvenir shops, donut shops, wine store, pharmacy, and good restaurants all within walking distance. We only started the vehicle to get our Mega Millions ticket. The only downer of the vacation was not winning it so we could make these wonderful (and super responsive) owners an offer they could not refuse. :) Oh and we did not even have to strip the beds when we left, just another small thing that all adds up to the best vacation experience ever. This house is amazing! Beautiful decor! The pirate kids room was awesome! The hosts were amazing with communicating & super informative! I would recommend anyone to stay here!

Justin and Gennifer's beach home was absolutely stunning. The pictures were amazing but it was even more fantastic in person. All of the accommodations were top notch and the kitchen, which we utilized a ton, is fully stocked with cookware and appliances. The kids loved their pirate bunk area, and when we had to be indoors due to rain, they were very happy to hang out in there and play arcade games. It was also wonderful to be able to get into a private pool everyday. The location couldn't be better. It is literally right across the street from the beach (1 block walk to the private beach access gate) and was very enjoyable and easy to get to with little ones and grandmas, especially with the provided beach wagons and chairs. The restaurant recommendations were spot on. We ordered Pascalli's and coffee (right around the corner) for breakfast 4 out of the 6 days we were there. And meal and grocery delivery were also quick and easy. The hosts were amazing-extremely helpful and responded very quickly to any questions we had. We can't wait to visit again!
