Mainsail Beach Cottage - Miramar Beach, FL, Miramar Beach, Florida Vacation Rental by Owner

Booked a fall getaway for my family and was very happy with finding this gem. The 'cottage' was well appointed, beds were comfortable, sheets were fantasic. Other furniture was better than others I've had in rentals. It was clean and well maintained. The beach toys and chairs were a bonus. It was clear that a family used this location. I felt comforatable but had no concerns about my young niece and nephew being themselves. Amy was responsive and a great host.

My family plus my mom loved the cottage. We have stayed at mainsail numerous times but never in the cottages. We loved all of the extra space, closeness to the pool and grills. Blue Haven is furnished with everything that we needed for our vacation and we would 100% stay there again. We also recommended it to several friends!

We recently stayed in this cute little cottage which is in an amazing location. We had four littles with us that were 5 and under so we were a little nervous about how far the beach may be from the cottage. It was a 3 min walk from the cottage and we took a path with absolutely no stairs/steps, which made hauling our wagons 10x easier. The owners had the cottage set up spectacular for families with or without children. Highchair, pack n play, beach chairs, beach toys, wagon, etc. were the few of many items provided in the cottage! Not to mention the cottage was super clean and spotless! The decor is enough to make it feel very home-like, but also simple enough to where we didn't have to worry about the kids breaking anything. The pool is literally right out the backdoor and isn't ever busy since it isn't the "main pool." Overall our family has nothing but great things to say about this cottage, we will definitely be back and will recommend to all family and friends!

My husband and I spent a week here with our three grown children and their significant others. What a fabulous week! Tim and Angie were fabulous hosts and their cottage had all the necessary amenities and was so clean. Mainsail resort was a great place overall . We loved the proximity to the pool and beach and especially. We would come back to Blue Haven without a doubt and would highly recommend to others!

We had such a lovely week at Blue Haven. It was close to the beach, but far enough away that we had some quiet and not the noise of spring breakers. There was plenty of room for our family of four and the setup was perfect for us. There is a pool just steps outside the patio door and, unfortunately, that was closed for repairs the week we were there so that was the only issue we ran into. Otherwise, we would highly recommend! I also cannot say enough about the owners. So kind and helpful throughout our entire stay. Made the whole process so easy! Thank you!

Due to a change in plans, I ended up on a solo trip and stayed in this cottage with way more space than I needed...and it was GLORIOUS! I started off feeling a little bummed because of the circumstances, but by the end of my 6-day stay, I found myself mentally planning another solo trip to Blue Haven Cottage. It was THAT perfect. I felt very safe and had the best time! Having an outlet mall across the street, Destin Commons just a few miles down the road in one direction and Sandestin shopping a stone's throw in the other direction certainly didn't hurt at all. :) I tried out all the beds, because why not! Each one was pure luxury. Every…single…thing in the cottage was wonderful and well thought-out, right down to special wash clothes for makeup. It’s just a 3-minute walk to THE most beautiful beach where I watched the sunset each evening. I dined at a different restaurant each day. The host’s recommendations were much appreciated! I had a rental car and drove a couple hours to Orange Beach, along with the beautiful drive down to Panama City Beach, and did the 30A drive as well. Blue Haven in Miramar Beach is perfectly situated to get to anywhere. I have never been more confident in giving a 5-star review. I would recommend this place to anyone, and I cannot wait to go back!

This was the perfect place for our family. My husband and I went with our son and his family and our daughter. Our granddaughters loved the bunk beds. This cottage is beautifully decorated and very clean. The kitchen is stocked well with anything you may need, by far the best we have ever encountered. Tim and Amy are awesome to work with. We will chose this place again next time we travel to the area.

Our stay at the Blue Haven was more than we expected. Every thought that went into furnishing this cottage made our stay feel like we were at home, with exception of the gulf.... We never wanted for anything! It was stocked for a large family with children in mind. The hosts were nice and easy to get in touch with if we needed them. We will revisit again. Thank you Jaynes for an amazing rental!

We had a great week at Blue Haven! The owners were so easy to work with and so very hospitable. The cottage is lacking nothing for a big family - they have thought of everything you need to have a great vacation! It is convenient to all of our favorite places while being at the beach!

We got to stay an entire 2 weeks!!! June 3rd-17th. This was our best vacation in YEARS!!! This wonderful home and hosts are spectacular!!! Not enough words to express our happiness with this home away from home. Great communication from host at all times through the rental process and during our stay. Our Hadley Blair loved it the most she said and never wanted to leave. She also lost her first tooth sitting at the bar!! So many great places to eat and close by. We will definitely stay in touch and be booking next year’s vacation.

This place is a gem!! I can not say enough about how beautiful this place is! We felt right at home immediately and they had everything you could possible need to make your stay enjoyable !! Private beach access, fun places to eat in the area, and so relaxing !! Perfect vacation stay !! Owners are excellent! Highly recommend!

I selfishly debated keeping this gem to myself, but these fabulous hosts deserve recognition. Our experience started with excellent communication from the friendly owners. Tim & Amy quickly responded to my questions and enthusiastically shared info about the Destin area. We felt like guests of the family, not “renters”. They truly want you to enjoy their home and the attention to detail ensures that you will be equipped to relax, explore and play! The cottage is sparkling clean with gorgeous updates throughout. The cleaning standards are showcased throughout with WHITE linens, bedding and towels. The beds are comfortable with quality bedding for a dreamy sleep. The area has amazing restaurants featuring southern cuisine and fresh seafood. Our fav for dinner was Boshamps and the Donut Hole is a must for breakfast. The cottage kitchen is fabulously equipped for dinning in. As coffee enthusiasts (aka “addicts”) we enjoyed the Keurig and Mr. Coffee options in the cottage and the familiar menu of Starbucks just across the street. The beach, pools and other resort-like amenities are all close and easily accessible. Now, about Miramar Beach… We thought we had experienced “the best” on the islands of Turks & Caicos, but Miramar exceeded all of our past beach experiences! The pearly white sand is clean and soft. We didn’t see any of that smelly ocean debris you on the Pacific and Atlantic coast beaches. We felt like VIPs on the private beach decorated with green chairs and umbrellas and spent hours in the clear emerald waters. Photos do not adequately capture the magic of this beach! We are done searching for the perfect family vacation spot. (I booked our next stay before submitting this review!) Thank you, Jaynes family, for sharing your beach home in paradise with us!

I wish I could give 10 stars. I booked this house for my husband's 50th birthday vacation. It was so perfect. It was clean, stocked with everything we needed and so comfortable. The communication with the hosts was impeccable. We can't wait to go back!!!

What a wonderful escape to paradise! This cottage is so spacious and is beautiful with every amenity. It is perfectly updated, right by the heated pool, a 5 minute walk to one of the most beautiful beaches ever and close to the best restaurants and shops in the area. The inside feels like the home I wish I had and the outside is a magical haven. Stay here! You (and your family and friends) will not regret it!
