Calypso 1803E - Gulf Front with Beach Svc!, Panama City Beach , Florida Vacation Rental by Owner

We loved it here so much the first time, we came back this year and have already booked for next year!. This condo and location have everything for couples and families! The owner has updated the unit and it is beautiful! It's always super clean and comfortable. John, the owner, is amazing and always available with any questions you may have. There is info in the unit for the many things available to do in the area. The sunset views from the balcony are amazing!! There is so much to do from relaxing on the beach after grabbing a drink from the tiki bar, going to the many restaurants in the area, walking on the pier, strolling and shopping through Pier Park, jet skiing, fishing, boat cruises, swim with the dolphins, snorkeling tours, catamaran cruises, etc, Never disappointed and so looking forward to going back!!! Thank you again John for opening up your condo for rentals so many can enjpy!!!

Very nice condo and right on the beach , beautiful views . Walking distance to pier park ! Right next to the pier if you like fish ! Owner is very easy to get in touch with and Checked on us during our stay to make sure everything was great . I would definitely recommend renting from John .

We spent a couple of days on a girls trip at John’s beautiful condo. The condo was clean, stocked with what we needed and the views were amazing. John was a great host and communicated through the whole process. I would strongly recommend booking with John, the service was nothing short of amazing

Everyone that I know that has been to the condo I booked always commented on the appearance of my place. The paint always look fresh and appliances up to date. I never had any issue with the air not working or any appliances. Plus I rented from Mr Hughes 2 or 3 years in a row so that says a lot.

What a great vacation! The condo is in great shape, clean, and everything worked as it should. The location couldn't have been better. There are so many restaurant choices within walking distance that you'll never have to drive if you so choose. The Pier Park is great for shopping and dining and right across the street. There is also mini golf within walking distance as well. There is also a pier next door for moonlight strolls or fishing. After driving the strip, there is no doubt we made the right choice in staying at John's condo! Everything nearby is so much more up to date and if we go back, I'll be staying here again. Also, I recommend renting a couple fishing poles and a pontoon to spend the day on the ocean. The fish actually bite often! Never a dull moment and was such a great trip! John is great to work and plan with! Highly recommend!

We stayed in John’s 1803E condo this June. The views were amazing! The condo sits in a perfect location across from Pier Park. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy some dinners in the condo. There are many restaurants nearby as well! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Gulf Breeze Condos at Calypso Resort is everything you can ask for in a vacation rental. Very clean and well maintained! The balcony provides a perfect view of the beach and ocean, whether enjoying morning coffee, lunch, or evening beverages! The condo affords privacy, but has plenty of comfortable sitting/sleeping locations to satisfy all members of the family. The location is perfect - an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, a movie theater, and other attractions. The kitchen has all of the necessary amenities, including 2 coffee makers, a great refrigerator, plenty of cups, koozies, and silverware. I would highly recommend Gulf Breeze Condos and look forward to our next opportunity to stay while visiting Panama City Beach!

First time visitor to Florida Panhandle - it won’t be my last! Our condo / accommodations were first class @ & host does an amazing job of making sure you are well taken care of & is very easy to deal with. We were so blessed this week that we’ve already booked the same condo for the same week next year!

1803E was the perfect spot for us to unwind and relax beachside. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the thunderstorm race across the sky. My family and I are repeat customers of John Hughes Calypso condos. Everything comes as mentioned in the write up including beach chair service. The view from the balcony is incredible! John is a wonderful, involved and attentive owner who aims always for the best possible experience for his guests. If you haven’t experienced one of Johns condos then you definitely should!

Spent a month in the Calypso condo. The condo had everything we needed. It was clean and the owner provided perfect communication. The resort was great and everyone was nice and helpful. Loved walking to Pier Park, eating and listening to music. However, the best was the Sunset!!! Loved it.

The condo is beautiful and in the perfect location. The beach is beautiful and just an elevator ride away. The view from the balcony is amazing! The sugar sand beach, the pools, the pier and fabulous sunsets! Just a few steps to Pier Park and terrific restaurants and shopping. The owner, John, is a pleasure to deal with and made sure everything went smoothly for us. I have already recommended this condo to several friends and will enjoy going there again.

My husband and I came to Panama City for Ironman race had a great time the apt was great very roomy lots of cupboard space and very well stocked with all utensils etc as well as linens would definitely come again and have already recommended the apt to a friend

This is our second year to stay in this condo and it did not disappoint. The condo was very clean and is beautifully furnished and very spacious to be a one bedroom. We especially like the two full baths. The views are great! You will not be disappointed!

The title for this review represents how my grandkids pronounces “vacation”. This was our first experience as “condo vacation”. The views from the balcony are the best any time, day or night and the condo was very clean and modern. All 5 of us were very comfortable. Shopping was very close and convenient. After our day at the beach, we enjoyed time in the pool and back to the condo to close the day and enjoy the sunsets. The only negative thing was the vacation ended. Great place to stay and plenty to do.

I stayed in unit #1803 East for an entire week. The week of the Seabreeze Jazz Festival April 2021 I was pleasantly surprised the unit was beautiful, appliances top notch, not one complaint at all in fact I was trying to find something to complain about but couldn't (lol]. My husband and I got the wonderful opportunity of meeting John and he was just as pleasant in person as he is when speaking to him via phone or text and email. I would definitely stay in this unit again. John checked on us to make sure we were good, if we needed anything very much concerned about our stay. Thanks John you are the best. We loved our stay at Calypso 1803E. John provided excellent customer service from our first inquiry through the check-in process on arrival day. The unit is perfect - just as presented in the listing. Nothing better than watching the sunset from the private oceanfront balcony. The included beach service is a great benefit and there are plenty of good restaurants and attractions within easy walking distance. Thanks for a great stay John!

We had a great stay at the Calypso. Every single thing was first class. No hassle parking, no hassle checkin, great view and location. The condo was very clean and had a lot nicer furniture than anything we have renter before. The location right on the beach was great and a very short walk to Pier Park with all the restaurants and shopping you could want without having to get in your car. The owner stayed in touch with us during the stay but we didn’t have any problems. We highly recommend the Calypso and John Huges for a great hassle free stay.

I have stayed at this apartment before and the experience was great. For that reason I decided to come back with my family for Spring break and again I was very pleased with the apartment, the beach and the closeness to Pier Park.

Really enjoyed our stay. The condo had everything that we needed for the week. Calypso is a great location and within walking distance of most of our favorite places to shop and dine.

Easy access to all locations, walking distance to the main strip and tons of restaurants. Enjoyed having access to two pools and being right on the beach. Plenty of room in the condo with an amazing balcony view. Great for couples or small families. Will totally be visiting again!!

My friend and I had a wonderful week in Panama City. We booked directly through John Hughes. He was very helpful and responsive to inquiries. The condo was decorated beautifully, with a sense of style and comfort. The “High-chairs” on the balcony made our mornings and evenings a perfect place to relax and start or end each day. We would definitely stay there on our next visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in PCB this week! The condo is beautifully decorated and was so very clean. Our view was amazing. John was very responsive to any questions we had...I would definitely recommend this condo. In fact, we are already planning our trip back next year!

We enjoyed our stay in spite of hurricane sally, only one day on the beach but we had a good time. We had to go to the basement twice due to tornado warnings. Loved the short walk to Pier Park. Will return next year with the rest of our families

We decided to do a beach vacation in the midst of all the COVID mess. I found Emerald coast by owners and contacted Mr. Hughes. My husband has stayed at the Calypso before and enjoyed it. Wonderful location. Walking distance to pier park. The room was great! Everything was clean and spacious. We loved the beach decor. It really made the atmosphere. The view from the 18th floor was amazing!!! Mr. Hughes was so kind and very detailed with everything. I really appreciated how he checked in with us and made sure our stay was one we’d enjoy. We will for sure be booking again with him!!

Me and my husband celebrated our wedding anniversary here and loved it! John Hughes was quick to answer questions and also made sure to stay in touch. Our rooms were clean and we LOVED having access to the condos Netflix! Walks to Pier Park was a plus and definitely will come back in the near future!

We were worried about going to the beach due to Covid-19, but we had a great stay. The water and weather were perfect. The unit was decorated nicely. We loved the balcony seating. Perfect location, easy walk to Pier Park and to several restaurants. We loved it!

We had a great trip! The condo was nice and clean and had everything we needed! The mattress in the bedroom was a little too firm for my taste but we still slept well.

We stayed at 1803E in March /20. It is a wonderful vacation home away from home. Tastefully decorated condo with modern comfortable furnishings, well stocked kitchen with lots of extras and an owner who cares and goes out of his way to be available for any questions or concerns. Would highly recommend booking and staying here. We will be back for sure!!!

A perfect location for enjoying a quiet getaway. Everything is within walking distance for all daily needs. You can go for a leisurely stroll on the beach, through pier Park, and explore the attractions along Front Beach Road. The apartment was clean, and well furnished. A place that we would surely want to stay again.

The room was very clean, it was everything it said it was in the ad on the internet! The condo had everything that you would not think of to bring from home! So it was a very well thought out place and the owners are just as goof if not better! I had direct contact with John and if you needed ANYTHING he would reply very fast and help out as much as he could! I would highly recommend this one from John!

My husband and I recently spent a week in unit 1803E at Calypso. One of the first things I noticed when I walked in was how clean the unit was and that is very important to me. John Hughes was so easy to work with. He answered all my questions and always got back to me in a timely manner. The location is so convenient to Pier Park with all it has to offer, shopping, dining and entertainment in one location The beach is steps away and the beach chairs and umbrella included with this unit was a big plus for us. To sum it up, this unit was perfect for the 2 of us. I would definitely check with John before booking another vacation In PCB.

We booked this condo for our family trip 2 years after our first stay and had another great, comfortable experience. Great communication with the owner!

Prime location right across from Pier Park. Tons of things to do within walking distance. The condo has everything you need including a few beach chairs and nets to crab hunt. It is decorated very nicely and you can tell the Hughes family takes fantastic care of their property. Check in/out was a breeze and when I needed another car registration ticket when we arrived, Mr. Hughes had it to me in less than 5mins. Superb customer service!!! I highly recommend

We loved our stay at Calypso! John and Linda have a beautiful condo that they take great pride in. The condo is clean and the furnishings offer everything you would need. The location is the best. Right on the beach and walking distance to Pier Park. We barely used our car the entire time we were there. We have been home a week, and we are ready to go back!!!

The condo was great. The owner checked in with us several times during our trip to be sure everything was good. Condo is across the street from Pier Park. We would definitely rent from the owner in the future.

This condo was just perfect! It had a great view of the ocean and we sat out on the balcony every night for the sunset. It was in walking distance of everything you could think of. Would definitely stay here again!

When we arrived, everything was clean, very well decorated and comfortable. The unit was just the right size for the two of us and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for meals. We definitely will be back next year.

My daughters and I spent a lovely week in this condo for our spring break get-away and it was perfect! The location kept us from having to travel by car as we walked to Pier Park to eat every single night but one. Avoiding the traffic was awesome and walking allowed my older children to stay and walk back after mom was ready to be back at the condo relaxing. The condo was beautifully decorated, very clean, equipped with all we needed. Loved our chairs on the beach and the chairs on the balcony were a perfect height to see the beautiful sunset over the water! We had the best week and can’t wait to find the time to return. Small thing—A couple things I will throw in the bag next time is a few extra trash bags and a small bottle of dish soap.

Beautiful updated condo with comfortable accommodations. The view of the Gulf was amazing and the beach had beautiful white sand. Our family had a wonderful time in PCB!

Great beach-themed condo right on Panama City Beach. Spectacular view on the gulf and sunset from the 18th floor balcony. So convenient to just walk out onto the beach and have two lounge chairs and umbrella waiting for you. Comfortable king size bed in separate master bedroom along with separate bathroom. Location is perfect for walking to restaurants and shopping at Pier Park. John and Linda (the owners) easy to work with and very attentive. Would highly recommend this property.

We had a great time in PCB , we especially loved the condo we rented from John 1803 East Wing , we had a couple of minor problems but John was right on it . We loved being close to pier park, Walmart and most of the stores . .we would definitely stay there again . Loved being on the 18 Th floor felt like we had our own aquarium. Thanks john for everything , 2 happy Canadians .

Sparkling clean condo located steps from Pier Park. Exactly as pictured! View from the balcony is breathtaking. Tasteful decor and super comfortable bed. Washer/dryer is always appreciated when traveling. A home away from home! Everything absolutely top notch! John, the owner was super friendly and always available to answer any questions or concerns. Would definitely recommend to friends or family and looking forward to staying there again.

My husband and I had a quick trip down for Thanksgiving to visit his brother. John was great to work with even with our short notice during a holiday week and also checked in with us during our stay. Condo was beautiful, bed was very comfortable and location was very convenient. Would highly recommend staying in this unit, especially when you have an owner that is so accommodating!
