2 features receive regular praise from our guests:  PRIVATE & SPACIOUS rooms, balconies, & decks!!!  When constructing Seas The Day, we took special care to ensure that bedrooms do not share walls or back up to each other for added privacy.   All are separated by living rooms or hallways.  These features are unique to Seas The Day.  The 4 separate living areas, each with their own seating group and TV add another level of privacy when one might want to slip away from the group for a brief time.

The main kitchen, dining and living areas flaunt space and a modern, open feel.  Plenty of seating comfortably accommodates the entire household.  The island/bar area seats 6, the main dining table seats 10, and the living area seats 12-14.  Additionally, on the same, main floor, there is a gulf front screened in dining area with 2 ceiling fans & a large teak wood dining table seating 8.  There are other table seating options throughout the house with a total dining table seating capacity of 37.

All of our 3 large balconies flex from 10 feet deep at minimum & 21 feet deep at max.  All are 42 feet in length.  This allows for an abundance of seating groups and breezy gulf front dining yet plenty of room to move freely around the decks without having to squeeze by or move furniture just to walk around and get from one end to the other.

SEAS THE DAY is the perfect setting for your annual family gathering, friends trip, or couples trip.  The gulf front views and sunsets from Seas The Day balconies are breathtaking!!!

Had to return!    Sep 30, 2023

I can’t express enough not only how wonderful this house is, but how wonderful Julie and Todd are. They definitely go out of their way to make sure you have the best vacation ever. Their response time for questions and any little things that pop up, is exceptional. I can go on and on about how great the house is, and it is, but for this review it’s more about Julie and Todd. Like I said, they answered questions from our group from the moment we booked up until we left. I had the pleasure of meeting them this year and getting a few pictures of them with my son who is wheelchair bound/medically complex special needs. They tried to assist me in finding a hospital bed there that could be delivered and set up for him. We had no such luck, so I brought his bed with me. They had already thought about the process and the amount of space it would require and offered to be there to help move furniture around to make a place for the bed. So very thoughtful! The welcoming package they leave is always awesome! Those toasted coconut Thinster cookies are to die for. They are always a hit. Having a little chocolate to enjoy after a meal or just as a snack it great, too. I’m not a coffee drinker, but the ones who were, said it was great. There is always something there for everyone, and it’s just a great touch to add. They are very organized, very personable, and very attentive to details. How about fresh flowers? How about instead of taking laundry supplies, shampoo/conditioner, dishwashing liquid, spices, etc., that people leave behind, they leave all that for you in case you need it. I mean, we all forget to pack things at times. You absolutely can’t go wrong with renting this house for your family, a birthday celebration, a group of friends, etc., and I bet you won’t find better owners that Todd and Julie. Thanks again, Todd and Julie, for another great vacation!

Our family of 14 was here from June 24 tonJuly 1, 2023. This beach house was fantastic. It accommodated all of us very comfortably. Everything about this house was top notch. We have all stayed at different beach houses from Isle of Palms, SC, Hilton Head, Kiawah Island, Fripp Island and this was THE BEST beach house we have ever stayed in. The beach was never crowded and the owners were great to make sure are stay went well. Definitely would love to return to this beautiful place.

Best time Ever!    Jun 10, 2023

My family (husband, 3 of our4 children, spouses, 5 of our 7 grandchildren and spouses, and our 5 great grandchildren, 19 in all) had an awesome time at Seas the Day! The house is perfect for a big family. It is always spotless with everything you could possibly want or need. There was a new shuffleboard table by the pool which we enjoyed. I want one now. Julie and Todd are the nicest people ever. Can’t say enough good stuff. Fabulous week. Thanks for all you do to make our stay great.

We recently celebrated our 50th anniversary with 12 other family members at Seas the Day. It's hard to express all of the amenities this beach home offers. Every couple had their own suite with private bath, balcony and a view of the gulf. There is a kitchen on every level with the main kitchen on the 3rd level. It is equipped with every utensil you could possibly need to prepare a meal. If the utensil is not there it's probably not made. The private swimming and relaxing pools were perfect to just lay around with the family and relax. If your feeling adventurous, then definitely try the paddle boards or kayaks that are available. The private boardwalk from the home to the beach makes your walk to the ocean effortless and stops about 50 ft from the water. I'll save the best review for last and that's dealing with the owners Julie and Todd who worked tirelessly to make our stay perfect. Especially with Julie's finer touches of fresh flowers everywhere, and Todd's availability to repair any issues that may arise. Thank you both for making our 50th anniversary celebration memorable.

Our family loves this place. This home beats any resort. Our kids & grandchildren have built great memories here. This is our 2nd time & hope to have many more. The home is immaculate & updated with all top of the line amenities. The grand kids love playing at the beach & after dinner swimming in the pool. This home is very well taken care of by owners who care about you having a great vacation. They are the best owners that we have ever worked with. As a guest thank you for all the hard work you guy's put in to this home.

Best vacation house ever!    Jul 10, 2022

This is our second time staying at Seas the Day and we have had an amazing experience both times! The house is beautiful, the extras are awesome (2 kayaks, stand up paddle board, fresh flowers, fully stocked kitchens, washer/dryer on every level, elevator), and the owners are so kind and pleasant! You can really tell the difference between renting a property managed by a company and one managed by the owners. They respond right away, come over immediately if there are any issues, and are so enjoyable to talk to. We will definitely be back! Wonderful set up for multiple family trip - everyone has their own space but lots of common areas to enjoy time together.

Best Place to Stay with a large group    Jun 18, 2022

review star

This is our second time at Seas the Day. It really is the perfect place for a large family. We are a family of 14 with ages ranging from 2 to 80. We all have our own space and the layout is perfect; from the full kitchen on the bottom floor with bunk rooms for the kids, to the master suite on the middle level for the Seniors, and the kings on the top for the empty nesters (and the double queen on the back for teens). Outside is incredible! Ping pong, kayaks, paddle boards, pool and your very own boardwalk. Not to mention outdoor bathroom by the pool for easy access. Of course the beach and sunset views are pretty good too. To top it all off - Julie and Todd are the best folks you will every meet. They care about your satisfaction and add the little touches you would not expect.

We just finished a week at Seas The Day with our children, 5 of our grandchildren and 1 of our great grandchildren. This was our 3rd (I think) stay there and we absolutely love it. The house is perfect for us and VERY well kept. It has everything you need. Super nice owners. Can’t say anything bad. Wish we could just stay.

Our family just got back from a week vacation at Seas the Day. WOW - what a beautiful house!! The 5 master bedrooms, each with a beach view? Never imagined we could find that. And having the bathroom by the pool was something we didn't know we needed. Plenty of "toys' too, we tried the kayak, paddle boards and the ping pong table. Julie and Todd were amazing to deal with. We used their recommendations for restaurants and a photographer. Definitely a week to remember. Even celebrated an engagement for my niece on the beach!!

This was our first time at Seas the Day and we can guarantee it will not be our last ! This place is just perfect in every way. Julie and Todd have thought of everything to have an incredible vacation at their home. We had 19 people and never once did we feel like we were crowded. Each room was gorgeous and extremally comfortable. The thoughtfulness was impressive, with gift boxes upon arrival and fresh flowers as well as all the amenities found in the home. The pool areas was a huge meeting place everyday for family fun and going to the beach was so convenient. Seas the Day is first class all the way!! Can't wait to book our next visit to Port St Joe and at this lovely home.

"Your house, your service, and your genuine goodness has been beyond anything we have ever experienced before. We have been renting beach homes for more than 20 years now and have been up and down the entire panhandle, even experimenting with Orange Beach, AL………once! We have never rented the same place twice, because when leaving, we always found ourselves thinking “we could do better”. “Seas the day”, however, is the best. The absolute perfect beach rental experience. No lie. The house is truly the most magnificent home we have ever stayed in. The kind of home that the rich and famous live in! The location is perfect for us as we have tried hard to avoid the increasing crowds of people who are beginning to discover the panhandle. And from the first email with you, shortly after Hurricane Michael, it was crystal clear that you are great people who run a first class operation."

Celebrating Family    Jul 24, 2021

Our family of 24 just completed our second stay at Seas The Day. Everyone in our group is blown away by the condition of the home, inside and out, and the plentiful accommodations. You need to bring nothing with you on this trip because you will find it already in the home including a large pot for boiling fresh caught seafood! This trip was all about family. A wedding shower for our daughter was hosted this trip and local catering and florists fed the group and decorated with beautiful flowers. They did a great job. Our group notices the “Welcome” gift and sweet message left by Julie and Todd as well as the fresh flowers throughout the house. It is amazing and not like any other place we have ever stayed. There are enough dishes and stemware and silverware to accommodate your group on days you want something more than paper plates! We like that on day 2 Julie will send a text asking if we found everything to our liking and then another about mid week asking if we need anything!! This is NOT the norm. Trust me, I know. Our family has rented a place every year in the mountains or at the beach and have never had the experience you will get at Seas The Day. 5 stars is not good enough. Our only request is to build a bigger home because we are growing and have reached your max occupancy of 24!! A truly kind, generous, and considerate couple. A truly perfect home! Thank you!

So my gift to my husband for his 65th birthday was to take our 4 kids and 11 grandkids to the beach for a week. We did so in June (review below). Loved the house so much we came back in July with my siblings, spouses, children and grandchildren - 22 ranging from 10 months old to 75. Cannot say enough good things about this house - from the BEST host/hostess, Todd and Julie, to the incredible welcome gift, to all the “little” touches….like having a first aid kit….who does that??? Julie and Todd DO!! Seriously, you have EVERYTHING you need! STAY HERE!!! You will not regret it!

Perfect vacation home!    Jul 03, 2021

We have been visiting Seas the Day for a number of years, and it truly feels like a home away from home. The hosts think of every detail and are so kind and caring. And seriously, the kitchen is better stocked than my own! There is enough space that the families in our group with little kids can spread out and keep the rest of the house relatively quiet. But, there’s also plenty of space for all to gather together around the pool, on the porches, or at the beach, of course! I also love that there aren’t a steps to or from the house to the beach. It is easy to get the supplies down the boardwalk in the morning. We look forward to visiting this dream away from home each year and highly recommend it!

I grew up in Kill Devil Hills, NC, so our family vacations were usually there, starting in 1990ish!! Now, our adult children asked for a change of location, so we decided to try the Gulf Cost of Florida. I am so happy we discovered Seas the Day and Julie and Todd Layman! We are 21 members, from 8 to 82. This lovely home was more than perfect!! I admit, when we received "The Guidelines" we were a bit skeptical about the people with whom we would be dealing!! We could not have been more mistaken!! The Laymans are delightful, perfect hostesses. Believe me, their welcome gift in NOT a roll of bath tissue and paper towels!! Everything about this home is lovely, from the accommodations to the beach access, the paddleboards and the kayaks!! We would give the review more than 5 stars if we could. There is even a Crock Pot!!

Fabulous house, beach and views    Oct 16, 2020

When our four bedroom condo in Perdido Key was damaged due to Hurricane Sally, our family of 11 looked for an alternative for our planned vacation. My husband looked online along the Florida coast and found Seas the Day. It seemed the perfect place for our group of four couples...each young couple with one of our grandsons. The rooms are well decorated, comfortable and spacious. It was great that each young child had their own room. We enjoyed all of the balconies...especially the beautiful sunsets. The pool area is incredible. There is lounge seating around the pool but also very comfortable sofas under the deck with great tables that were very useful. We could not believe all of the comfortable outdoor furniture. The pool is wonderful too. Having the small pool for littles was terrific but the adults liked it as well. The inside of the home is wonderful too and has everything you will need for a large or smaller group. Two dishwashers on the main floor is a huge plus. Julie was very accommodating and helpful. If we ever need space like this again, we will be back.

Beachin With Babies    Oct 10, 2020

For the past five years, our same group of friends have taken a fall beach trip with our babies. Over the years we have grown as has our need for a larger house and proximity to the beach...anyone with kids knows just how much "stuff" they require. I cannot say enough good things about Seas The Day! The house was perfect for our needs. We had 11 adults and 6 children and had plenty of room. We typically stay on 30a, so this was our first time in Mexico Beach...we are all foodies and had come to the conclusion that we would be sacrificing some "fine dining" options for more peace and quiet in Mexico Beach. We had two of the BEST meals while we were there. One of the restaurants was The View on Old 98. The food was SO good and we had a private patio to dine al fresco! (We brought babysitters with us, so this was an adults only dinner) Every couple agreed that this was the best Beachin With Babies trip so far! The pool was a huge bonus as well. If you are thinking of booking Seas The Day...don't hesitate! It may be the best trip you've ever had!!

Beach House Perfection and Outstanding Host!    Sep 26, 2020

Seas the Day was more incredible than I have room here to tell! Five families rented it during our Sept 2020 Fall Break and everyone agreed that it was a phenomenal house/property! From the very beginning of my contact with Julie, she was a delight, answering every question promptly, and making the entire transaction so easy that I was excited to meet her at check-in. We had 10 adults and 10 kids, and the house was so spacious we never felt on top of each other. The kitchen was stocked with everything (and more) that we needed: dishes, pots, utensil...and 2 dishwashers - a blessing! The under-counter ice maker was such a treat; and the bar stools, dining table, and outside table meant plenty of seating for everyone during meals. The furniture was comfortable and plentiful. Being beachfront was a top priority, so Seas The Day was perfect. Loved the uncrowded location and the privacy - plenty of beach to spread out, and kids played ball, cornhole, etc without fear of being in anyone's way. Since all 5 King Suites were similar size, oceanfront, and with access to the spacious balconies, the adults could all have wonderful accommodations. The 7 boys loved the bunk rooms, and the 3 girls enjoyed having their boy-free space in the room with 2 Queens. Also, ADORED the balconies w/comfy furniture - a great place for morning coffee and to watch the kids play in the sand. The wide balconies meant we could still be outside enjoying the view on a rainy day. Having a small sitting area on each floor meant everyone could find a quiet nook. And the kitchenettes/fridges on each floor meant families could spread out their snacks and drinks and not overload the main kitchen fridge. Having laundry facilities on each floor was a godsend! Also, access to the home's water equipment (kayaks and paddle boards) was so fun and everyone loved trying them out. I could go on and on...in short, hope to go back again soon! Thanks Julie for letting us rent your truly remarkable home!!!

This is our Family's 2nd year here and we have already booked for YEAR 3 2021! The home is amazing. We absolutely love everything about it. Love the added couch in the living room. We had 16 adults and 2 kids-everybody had their own space and we had a blast. Julie and Todd have built everything into this house you will ever need to for your family to enjoy your stay. The elevator is great for Mom and Dad to use instead of the stairs, not to mention sending up the groceries all at one time. The kayaks and paddleboards are soo much fun- so exciting to see dolphins and sea life. We LOVE that the beach is just a few steps away down a long flat walkway (no up and down and around steps). We all love this home so much we are booked for Family Beach Vacation 2021. You will not be disappointed !

I have read all the other reviews and I can say they are all absolutely true. We have been renting beach homes for 16 years... from North Carolina, South Carolina, both the east and west coasts of Florida all the way to the Alabama gulf coast... this is by far the best and nicest home we have stayed in. We were here last year and this is why we came back this year. The owners have invested a whole lot of time and love into this home and dealing with them is a joy.

We have stayed at Seas the Day twice. Small group early in the year, whole family (14 in all) this week. The house is perfect, plenty of room, right on the beach, great pool area, did I say plenty of room?! It is the cleanest house we have stayed in over the course of 20+ years of FL panhandle vacations. The owners are the best we have ever worked with, you will not find better folks. This is a home that will exceed your expectations.

We recently stayed at Seas the Day for a week and absolutely loved the house and Julie and Todd (the owners). Fantastic location right on the beach. Beautiful furnishings (all seem brand new - no stains or signs of wear). Great extras (two sea kayaks, a paddle board, life jackets, high chairs, pack and play). And the owners are so easy to work with - they respond quickly both before and during the booking and live 10 min away and came right over when we wanted to heat the pool. I can’t say enough good things about this rental house! We will definitely be back!

We looked and looked for a home to rent to escape our quarantine and quarantine in a different setting. Julie and Todd could not have been more welcoming. They met us at the home (with masks and thoughtfully socially distant) and helped us become familiar with the expansive home (we had a small group) and left a lovely welcome basket. The home was very well thought out and the king suites were fantastic. To wake up every morning to the beautiful view of the Gulf was just spectacular. The kitchen was stocked well (if not better) than our home. The bunk rooms were enjoyed by our children. We couldn't believe that there were so many thought out designs to make our trip more enjoyable. The patios, along with the screened in porch, were expansive and top quality furniture. Our kids loved to spend time at the beach and then be able to come up and enjoy some time in the pool. The beach gear that comes with the home is just icing on the cake. To have access to paddle boards and kayaks made our trip even more fun. The ONLY issue we experienced was the lack of adequate internet. We NEVER called the owners about it and learned from locals that this is a community wide problem since the hurricane. To be fair, even in the best of times with the current environment of doing work from home there is so much more bandwidth needed. We would come back in a heartbeat and wish we were still there. Julie and Todd were just the best hosts.

Julie Layman's reply:

Thank you, Carrie! We will address the internet strength issue with Mediacom, our provider. We're so grateful to know because sometimes the only way we know these things is by way of our guests. It could be true that this is a local wide issue, I'm not sure. But, we want to be assured that if Mediacom can make improvements, then they do just that. The hurricane did destroy the entire network and it had to be re-built from scratch (took almost a year). I imagine some kinks are still being worked out as time progresses. We LOVED having the opportunity to host you and would really enjoy having you return to be our guests again! Thank you for leaving a review of Seas The Day that is sure to help potential future guests.

We are a large family of anywhere from 20-24 people ranging in ages from 7-74. We have vacationed to the Florida panhandle every October or June for the last 20 years. This beach house is BY FAR not only the best one EVER, but the owners are the most humble, attentive, accommodating and kind people we have ever delt with. Staying at Seas the Day is customer satisfaction at it’s MAX! Seas the Day is super clean and so spacious that we never felt crowded or on top of each other. All 5 suites have balconies that overlook the ocean! The beds are ultra comfortable with high quality sheets. There is seriously No stone left unturned! Julie and Todd thought of everything! The home is extremely organized with perfectly appointed amenities!!! We loved that there is multiple coffee pots!! There is even a washer/dryer and kitchen or kitchenette on every level. The infinity pool over looking the ocean is WOW! The private outdoor shower is brilliant! Everything from cleaning up to getting to the beach is designed to be simple and easy. The private boardwalk to the beach has no steps so my Dad’s wish that my handicapped mother could put her feet in the sand and water with him again was granted because of this perfectly efficient, comfortable, spacious, beautiful, perfect, budget friendly, awesome owner home!!! Not only did we have the best week ever in Florida but we made life long friends in Julie and Todd!

Our stay at Seas The Day was absolutely perfect. The homeowners, the Layman’s were so easy to work with and the fresh flowers and gift bag they left to welcome us were such a nice touch and the perfect start to our vacation. We had two families or 16 people in our group and this fantastic house allows you to have both your privacy and your together time. The beach walk to the beach was so easy and the water and sand were beautiful. The pool area was fantastic and a favorite of my grandchildren. Having the outdoor bathroom at the pool was nice too. My favorite part was the peacefulness of watching the sunrises and sunsets daily and watching the dolphins play. The outdoor furniture and decks on this house are fabulous! Drinking my coffee each morning and having breakfast outside was a real treat! We have been visiting this area for years and this is the best house we have ever stayed in. It is a slice of Heaven here on earth!

We got lucky.    Jul 13, 2019

You can't schedule the weather so when Tropical Storm Barry was making landfall in Louisiana, we expected to get some associated rain and foul weather. We didn't. As a matter of fact, we had beautiful weather for our week-long stay with 11 adults and 8 grandkids. This was the perfect set-up. The house is big enough for moments of privacy and wonderfully communal for the whole bunch to be rowdy together. We got lucky and we loved it. We had beach time everyday and brought out the kayaks and paddleboards just to see if we could operate everything. We are good with Kayaks, not so much with paddleboards. The pool and tub and charcoal grill all got a workout. Hurricane Michael came through last October (2018) with 155 MPH winds. The fact that Seas the Day survived is testimony to its construction. Most everything else was torn up. Seas the Day was restored and improved upon by the owners. The whole layout is well thought out. All the amenities are necessary and useful. We've stayed at several home rentals in the area and this is by far the best. We've already put in a deposit for next year.

Our family has enjoyed this wonderful house for the past three years for a week during July. The house is the perfect size for our family, 19-24 people. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well decorated. The pool is safe and fun. The elevator is great for taking belongs into and out of the house. Overall the Seas the Day is the best house we've ever rented.

We recently stayed at Seas the Day (this was actually our 3rd stay) and the updates and upgrades completed after the hurricane are remarkable - this is the best beach house ever and we have stayed everywhere in the panhandle. Every detail was thought out. The spill over into the pool was a huge hit with our group. The outside restroom was the BEST IDEA EVER! More beach houses should look to Seas the Day for what to offer in a beach home. Hats off to the owners of Seas the Day. Julie and Todd are super friendly and they make you feel as though fun and comfort on your vacation is their top priority. We had no complaints and hope to stay at Seas the Day again in the future.

Seas the Day was incredible! The king size bedrooms with gorgeous views from every room and angle were amazing. Spacious, comfortable, clean, convenient and the best house we have stayed in by far! The kitchens were well stocked and had everything you could think of. The house was decorated and set up with so much time and attention to detail that it truly is “PERFECT.” Julie the owner was amazing. Very kind, helpful and honestly someone you feel like you’ve known forever. She made us feel welcomed and checked on us by text to see if we needed anything. We were impressed with how geniune she was. This will definitely be a home we will return to over and over again! Oh and the kayaks were an added bonus!!

Perfect Family Accommodations    Jul 21, 2018

review star

A year ago, our oldest granddaughter who was about to graduate from high school asked if our family could stay in one house for vacation, instead of separate condos. I spent days searching the internet for the best lodging in the Florida Panhandle for our family of 15 who for many years have vacationed together. I narrowed our selections to three properties and let our family vote! Seas the Day in "old Florida" Pt. St. Joe won, and we booked it nearly a year in advance for our 2018 trip. We were not disappointed! The accommodations were perfect--8 bedrooms, 8 1/2 baths, the main kitchen and the smaller kitchens on the other two floors, two laundry rooms, the balconies that provided stunning views of the water and the sunset...I could go on and on. We had friends staying in Destin (beautiful place that we visit often) who said the beaches there were 8 rows deep in umbrellas. Not at Seas the Day! We set up our tent, four umbrellas, and all our beach chairs on what seemed like our own private beach. The kayaks and the paddle boards provided by the owner were a hit with our family, and we enjoyed them every day we were on the beach. We had five of our youngest grandchildren with us, ages 13 and under. The bunk rooms, one for our three girls and one for our two boys, each with its own bath, provided their own space which they loved! We enjoyed our times together as a family, usually on the main floor open kitchen, dining and living area, and then everyone had their places to escape for a little quiet and solitary space. My husband and I spent time on our balcony counting our blessings as we watched our three sons, their wives, and six of our seven grandchildren having a wonderful time in such a special place. We also enjoyed a family bonfire on the beach one night--making s'mores and laughing at the stories and antics from the comedians in our family. We cooked a huge southern breakfast every morning and grilled out for evening meals. We ate out only one night, and thoroughly enjoyed not having to get dressed to go out. The location was exactly what we needed for our annual late afternoon family photo. My husband and I travel a lot, and we've never had a better experience with an owner/manager than we had with Julie Layman. She responded promptly to every email and text I sent, and she went above and beyond our expectations to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Too good to be true? No, Seas the Day is everything you read about and more!

Best Beach Vacation Ever!    Jul 21, 2018

We have enjoyed family beach vacations for over 30 years. Our time this year staying in Seas The Day was the best ever. The house was large enough for my parents, my two brothers and our three families. We enjoyed meals together on the second floor. We enjoyed catching up and talking out on the deck. Each floor's deck allowed for time in the morning and in the evenings to look and listen to God's beautiful creation. Access to the beach was quick and easy via the boardwalk from the house. We all enjoyed the two kayaks and the two paddle boards. I can't think of anything Julie could have done to make our stay any better.

Another reviewer hesitant to let the world know about this fabulous house. Our family of 3 generations has had a weekly family vacation for over 30 years. This house is perfection for us. The memories we are making there are priceless. We stay in and cook with the fully complete kitchen. We love the amount of bedrooms; their beauty and roominess. The outside decks offer breathtakingly clear views of the ocean and the sunsets. Julie takes an interest in all of her guests. She is available all the time to keep everyone happy. Cannot say enough positive things about this lovely, lovely house.

Family gathering    Jun 23, 2018

Cannot say enough good things about Seas the Day.  Our family was coming from 5 different states, as far away as Ohio, as close as Alabama.  As everyone arrived and walked through the house they came to me and told me how perfect the place was and the view from all levels was amazing!  Our younger group did visit a few restaurants and had good things to say about all.  We ate most meals at home and the kitchen had every pot, plate, glass, utensils, you name it, it was there.  Having two dishwashers and two sets of washer/dryers was wonderful, dishes were always clean and so were beach towels.  Our group filled the house to capacity and yet we had plenty of room to gather together or find a quiet spot out on one of the 3 balconies.  I was concerned we would be on top of each other, we went from 9 months to 61 years but the house, the pool, and the PRIVATE beach front met all of our desires.  It was perfect!  A previous review mentioned not wanting to list all the wonderful things about the house so that he could always rent the house himself, our group felt the same way.  The owner, Julie, was always available to answer any questions before our stay and checked in with me to make sure all was well during our stay.  I did have the pleasure of meeting her and putting a face with the name.  Our family was blessed to have this opportunity to be together for one full week, Julie allowed that to happen and we thank her from the bottom of our hearts.  Cindy

Perfect Beach House/Host/Location    Apr 20, 2018

There is not enough room to write how incredible this home is. From the home itself to the host, Julie, myself and a large group of people visited Mexico Beach/Port Saint Joe for a work trip and everyone of our crew have since asked for direct contact with the homeowner so they can bring their families back to experience this place. While I know great reviews help the owner, I kinda don't want this place discovered, as it is simply perfect. I say that selfishly as I hope it is available when I bring my family back THIS SUMMER. The host was so accommodating that we insisted meeting in person to buy a dinner. This trip from the home to the local town was life changing. My email is c4ler@me.com if anyone wants to ask me directly how special this place is. Thank you Julie! It was so great to meet you and I hope to see ya agin this summer!

Julie Layman's reply:

And, thank you, Casey, for your comments and even offering to personally help future guests have their questions answered by you, who has experienced, first hand, Seas The Day and the local charm of Port St. Joe. Likewise, it was great to meet you and it would me my pleasure to host you and see you again this summer or anytime!

I stayed here with a group of 22 ladies. The view was wonderful and the bed/bath set up was perfect. This house is fully furnished with everything you could possibly need. It is equipped with an elevator which is great for hauling up groceries but the stairs are roomy and easy to use with bulky items like suitcases and such. The owners were fabulous and great to work with. It is really evident just how much pride they have in this property. We are already planning our return trip for 2019!

Julie Layman's reply:

We, truly, appreciate that you took the time to post a complimentary review. The most rewarding aspect, as owners who designed and built our home with the intent that others could share in all that the area has to offer, hearing that our guests, thoroughly, enjoyed themselves is priceless. Thank you! You and your group of friends were a pleasure to host! We look forward to having you as guests again!
