Description
The white sand beach and the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico are right across the street from this sunny, three-level home near the western tip of St. George Island. It's a cheerful, light-filled space, offering a private backyard swimming pool and foosball and air hockey tables to come home to after mornings spent fishing, kayaking, or sunbathing.
Ascend the outdoor staircase and step inside to find the main living level on the second floor, bringing together the living room, the dining room, the kitchen, and the front sun room. Central air conditioning will keep you cool all summer, a gas fireplace is on hand for any chilly island evenings, and vibrant pops of color await throughout the house. The full kitchen features stainless steel appliances and a peninsula bar counter with stools for three, the dining room table seats six, and the two high-top tables in the sun room offer four stools apiece for casual meals and cocktails. There's no shortage of entertainment at the house, between the lanai-covered swimming pool out back, the foosball table in the bunk room downstairs, and the air hockey table in the ground-floor sun room.
At night, you can leave the day's swimsuits and towels in the laundry room, which includes a second refrigerator for any additional drinks and beach snacks that need to be stored. The main bedroom suite - featuring a sitting room and a private bathroom - is on the second floor, while three more bedrooms - two with direct access to the deck and one with its own en suite bathroom - await upstairs. The ground floor is ideal for kids, offering bunks and the two game tables.

This three-level home sits just a few blocks from the western end of St. George Island, with the beach and the gulf accessible right across the road. The island's main town can be found only seven miles northeast, as can the St. George Island Lighthouse and a number of restaurants, cafes, shops, recreational outfitters, and fishing and boating charters. St. George Island State Park - a fantastic place for birding, fishing, and incredible sunsets - is 15 miles northeast as well.
