Sea-Ya, St George Island, Florida Vacation Rental by Owner

Our family of 5 (plus 2 pups) have stayed at Sea-ya twice now and a third time at another home here that Lucinda and Tom own. We look forward to our third trip back to Sea-ya, hopefully, within the next year. Such a great, relaxing home complete with an awesome deck looking out on the Gulf to lounge on...not to mention the convenience of having a fenced in side yard for our fur-kids to do their business when we aren't walking them (i.e. midnight/5:30 AM)...Our hosts are also patient and gracious to respond to our questions quickly (even when they are traveling out of the country in another time zone). Just the perfect getaway residence at one of our most favorite locations in the world!

There are so many wonderful things to say about Sea Ya' it is hard to keep this review brief. I think my four favorite things are location, comfort, cleanliness and the very best hosts. This gorgeous house is right on the beach. There is nothing between you and amazing sun rises, beautiful sunsets and dolphins playing in the gulf. I could stay on the deck forever. Unlike many vacation rentals that have old, uncomfortable furniture, Sea Ya' is nicely furnished. The mattresses are magic - my husband likes a firm mattress, I like a soft mattress but the beds at Sea Ya' are perfect for both of us. The kitchen is very well stocked. We had every kitchen tool we needed. The house is so clean and well cared for, it is a joy to stay here. But my favorite part is the hosts. They are so considerate and gracious. They respond quickly to a text or email. They know the area so well, they can make great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We are so fortunate to have been able to spend two weeks at Sea Ya'.

We continue to look forward to and enjoy our visits to SGI and Sea-Ya! Lucinda and Tom have provided a wonderful, relaxing home for our annual visits to SGI. It's hard to imagine a better place to stay on the island. They are considerate hosts who care about your well-being during your visit. The balcony is expansive with a perfect view of the Gulf. We enjoyed the playful dolphins each morning and afternoon during their mating season. Our two terriers enjoy their visits as well and love to explore for critters in the fenced in yard. We can't wait until next summer for our next visit!

We enjoyed our stay at sea-ya! This was our first time at SGI and trust me we will be back! The house was very accommodating! We had all the kitchen utensils we needed, beach towels, beach furniture! Our goal was to have a relaxing, dog-friendly, great view week. See Ya exceeded our expectations. The owners are phenomenal people that made sure all of our needs were met. The home has everything you could want. We spent an entire week on the back deck along with visiting suggested restaurants. We love the island & love See Ya. My husband was reluctant to spend a week on the beach but he promised we will return. Great time!!!

This was our second year staying at the Sea-ya. The owners are great people and are always kind! I was very impressed to receive welcome emails and phone calls to their house. They really care about you having a good time. We enjoyed fishing, dolphin watching and relaxing on the porch. Even though it rained the first part of the week, the house is perfecting designed to allow you to watch tv, play games, etc while staring at the ocean (despite the rain). Everything is clean and you really do feel at home! Can't wait to be back in 2023!

This was our first time staying in Sea-Ya on St. George Island. My family would describe this as the "perfect trip." The owners of the home are easy to work with and care about you and meeting your needs. Due to our amazing trip, we booked this house for the next year before we finished our vacation. You will love the location of it on St. George Island, the closeness of the ocean, and the house amenities. Even though we rented the home in June, our family still enjoyed the amazing hot tub on the porch while looking at the ocean. We highly recommend you staying in Sea-Ya!

Seeing dolphins the first afternoon really set the tone for our entire vacation! It was relaxing and fun filled. The house has everything you could think of and all in good working order with no problems! It is so close to the Gulf and the waters were amazing. Sitting in the hot tub looking at all the stars was awe-inspiring - some people will never see the stars this way. Highly recommended :)

Our party of 4 had a great time at Sea Ya! The location is excellent, Tom and Lucinda were attentive and responsive, and the house has everything you need. We plan to stay here again.

Sea-Ya was simply amazing. Super close to the beach, an amazing view of the sunrise each morning and perfect for your dogs safety. The dog area below is great and the fence is wonderful for them to roam freely while you enjoy the activities below. This is our 2nd annual trip to SGi and surely will not be our last and plan to stay again with Tom and Lucinda. So attentive the entire trip to be sure everything was ok and even got a chance to meet them while they were passing by biking with their sweet pups. It was a wonderful Easter spent here!

Sea-Ya was perfect for our annual girls trip! Great house & an even better deck - the best deck on the beach that we could see! The hot tub was a wonderful asset. The weather wasn’t perfect, but we made the best of it. We hope to make a return visit to Sea-Ya!

Our vacation plans changed on the Wednesday before we were to leave out on Saturday. The hurricane flooded where we were heading and they canceled our rental. After a bit of a scramble I found Sea Ya! Miss Lucinda was very nice and answered all my questions. The house was great! Best dog-friendly house we have ever stayed! Sea Ya has every kitchen utensil you can imagine and more! We will be looking to come back! Regards The Bell Family

We had the most remarkable stay in your home. It is everything and more that everyone else has already pointed out in their reviews. The porch is magnificent - very spacious with wonderful view. The beach and Gulf are just steps away. Our two little dogs absolutely loved frolicking on the porch and running downstairs into the fenced yard to hunt for sand crabs! The home has everything you need for kitchen, bathroom, beach. We spent many hours playing pool. We were fortunate to use the new hot tub that was installed on the patio days before our arrival. Tom and Lucinda were the most attentive and responsive hosts we've ever had the pleasure to deal with. We've taken many trips to SGI over the past 20 years, and Sea-Ya is heads above the others. We'll be back!

This home is absolutely perfect. It had everything we could need and more. We enjoyed the back porch for a quiet cup of morning coffee and watched dolphins swim by. You could literally bring a suitcase of clothes and everything else would be provided for you. The house is very clean and well cared for. The hot tub, pool table, foos ball table and outdoor games are an added bonus for fun. The owners are great and addressed any question or need that we had. We loved it so much, we have already booked for next year.

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was an amazing location and we loved the partially covered deck. Everything we needed was provided with the extra special bonus of the fenced deck and yard for our two fur babies. Loved that the large dog crate was provided so we didn’t have to bring ours. The young adults really enjoyed the hot tub and pool table! Thanks for a terrific experience. We will be back!

We just had a wonderful time at SeaYa! The house was a perfect size for 2 couples and a dog. Two bedrooms have outstanding ocean views with the living room between them, so everyone had their own space. We enjoyed the deck with its outstanding beach views and the covered deck was especially handy during the rainy days. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots/pans, cookware, and small appliances we needed to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We also appreciated the beach gear. We didn't need to even pull out what we brought from home, as Sea Ya! has chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and even beach corn hole! We also enjoyed the bikes. As for nature- we watched dolphins from the deck, saw a ray, and there was a turtle nest marked off that was visible from the deck. We especially appreciated all of the steps Tom and Lucinda are taking to protect sea turtles - from the special lighting on the deck to the helpful visitor instructions. Tom and Lucinda have made this a perfect place to bring a dog, with a fenced in area and even built the deck so a dog can't get through the slats. We were grateful that they had a large dog crate and we never unpacked ours from the car. I can't say enough good things about this property!

We loved staying at Sea Ya! It was perfect for two couples plus dogs. Everything was clean and in working order and very well appointed. We loved the view from the deck and appreciated that part was covered and part sunny; it was perfect for dolphin watching! We hope to return.

We have stayed in numerous beachfront houses at SGI for 20 years but I believe Sea Ya is our new favorite! The West End Beach location did not disappoint with the large deck offering sun and a covered section for shade. Loved the outdoor bar height chairs, being a short person I was able to see over the railing for the first time to watch the dolphins. Our only complaint is Sea Ya is already booked for next year. Did I mention the mattress was wonderful?

Awesome, can’t wait to go back. Had everything we needed plus more, game room was an extra plus that haven’t had available in the other places we have stayed on SGI. Would highly recommend.

Sea-Ya is a very well appointed beach front house with great indoor and outdoor spaces for guests and their dogs. The kitchen has everything we needed; we prepared and ate all our meals in due to the pandemic. There's even a nice assortment of herbs and spices. The house was very clean, had a new and comfy sofa and love seat, great outdoor furniture, and a grand view. The owners are very pleasant to work with and it's evident they really care about their guests. All in all, we look forward to staying there again.

Wish I could give more than 5 stars! We had the best time at Sea Ya! You know how you usually are ready to leave and get back home at the end of a vacation? Nope, not this time! We didn't want to leave - ever!! Even our doggies didn't want to leave. We took a 10 lb Yorkie and a 10 lb shih tzu/chihuaha mix. The view was to DIE for - sunrise, sunset and a clear view of the stars - all with the ocean backdrop. You can't beat that! The house had everything you can imagine needing and then some! Who thinks of a popcorn maker, crock pot and binoculars? Our hosts did! The back deck stretches all the way across the back of the house and there are 4, yes 4, sliding glass doors that open out to it. And for us pet owners, there is a gate at the end to keep the critters from escaping. The deck furniture was awesome. I want that same stuff at home! The beds were very comfy - not too soft or too firm. I could go on and on about all of the attention to detail. We never played in the game room or used the bikes. We were wayyyy too lazy this trip. Maybe next trip. We're already planning our return! We may try a different one of Tom and Lucinda's houses on St. George each year - just for kicks! Then again, why mess with perfection?

We were so pleased with the property and all the amenities provided. The game space for the kids was perfect for them to have a separate space to go. The pool table was perfect for the whole family to unwind after the beach. We never ate inside because of the deck dining table. The beach access was so convenient you could watch kids from the deck. We appreciate all the kitchen extras as well.
