That unit was superb. Well-stocked kitchen. Loved everything about it😃.
Thanks for a great home away from home!
I just wanted to let you know how much my husband Chester and I and our two dogs Maya and Heidi enjoyed the week in Sea Breeze - Barrier Dunes 52. It was so well equipped, Chester especially was happy about the spice rack. He loves to cook.
We definitely want to come back, probably in November.
Thank you for being cooperative and so concerned about our well being.
Until later this year, Chester and Gerda
We had a most wonderful vacation! The Condo was lovely and clean, and location was perfect for us. Thank you for the pictures of William. My sons loved playing with him, what a sweet family!!!
Our condo was sited ride next to the ‘Turtle pond’. Multiple times a day we’d go with our youngest to visit all the turtles and watch them-so fun!
We loved watching the sunset every night, we arranged our day and dinner hour to accommodate.
Walks on the beach every day were a blast. We even met a new family from our hometown!
The beach was clean and we loved playing in the surf. We’d definitely return as it was a family friendly area.
Thank you again Wendy!

This was our second time staying at a Cape Escape home, and we can recommend the units without hesitation. Although Sea Breeze is not beach front, it has a lovely view of the gulf (across the clubhouse pool) from the master bedroom. The grounds are also lovely – nicely landscaped and thoughtfully laid out. Access to the beach is amazingly easy, with a short walkway to the Gulf just outside the door. The décor is tasteful--appropriately “beachy,” casual, and comfortable—and the kitchen is well-stocked with nice dishes, numerous small appliances, and a wide range of kitchen utensils. The layout works well, and we were very comfortable.
A major factor in our strong recommendation of Cape Escape is the management. The units are very clean and well maintained, and any problems are addressed without delay. We had a problem with the water heater, and Wendy responded immediately with repairs and, ultimately, a replacement. She bent over backwards to make sure that everything worked well and that any inconvenience was minimized.
The Barrier Dunes complex is very nice and definitely lives up to its reputation as being “pet friendly.” Walking on the grounds or the beach is a great way to meet others. Dog people tend to be friendly and outgoing! We were especially impressed by the commitment of the dog owners to keeping the grounds and the beach clean. They are diligent about picking up after their dogs, and the result is a very clean and lovely environment.
The beach is beautiful, with soft, white sand and gorgeous sunsets. Our golden doodle, Dude, loved playing in the surf, and we walked with him along the beach for miles every day. Our daughter and two of our grandchildren visited us for a long weekend, and they were thrilled with the sand and the waves (the sand toys in the beach cupboard are a nice touch!). We capped off the weekend with a bonfire on the beach their last night. They’ll not soon forget the evening, ghost stories and all.
There are plenty of outlets in the area for outdoor activities and good food. We hiked in numerous wildlife preserves and parks, visited other beaches (including St. George Island, Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe) , and enjoyed great seafood and fun atmospheres in Apalachicola, Indian Head, and Port St. Joe. It’s worth the trip to Apalachicola just to buy fresh seafood at 13 Mile Seafood on Water Street—the best! In Apalachicola, we also enjoyed the oysters at Boss Oyster and the gelato at Apalachicola Chocolate and Coffee Company. In Port St. Joe, we recommend Provisions and the Sunset Coastal Grill. And you definitely need to hit the original Indian Pass Raw Bar for both the experience and the food.
Barrier Dunes is hard to beat.
Loved it and had a wonderful time. We plan to come back soon. Thanks so much!
We want to thank you for sharing Cape Escape with us. We had a wonderful
month in # 52 Sea Breeze. It was equipped with everything that you could
possibly want. The kitchen has more dishes and more pots and pans than
I have at home.
This was our first visit to this part of Florida and we loved it. The weather
was beautiful the whole time we were there. We will be returning and now
we know to bring less stuff. [😱] The people and all the wonderful dogs were
great !!!! We love the quiet atmosphere and the greatest plus was being
able to bring our GUS ( Long coated shepherd ) [ðŸ¾] [ðŸ¾] [😀] .
Please keep us in mind when you have cancellations. Now that we are
both retired maybe we could sneak away on short notice.
Thank you for making things so easy,
Bev and Larry Sutler
Gus boy also says thanks Wendy [ðŸ¾] [â¤] ï¸
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas !!!!

I tell you each year how we love Sea Breeze, after staying there so many times it just feels like home. Thanks for all you do to make our stay so perfect and allow us to just enjoy our time on the cape.
We hope to visit again next year.

Thanks so much for following up with us! We made it home safely and drew it out a little bit by stopping over just north of Birmingham. It was just a wonderful vacation and we really couldn’t have asked for anything more. The condo was so well equipped, more so than any other rental I’ve stayed at. We brought beach gear with us but a lot of it stayed in the car. There were plenty of chairs and toys and gear. More than we could even use. The inside was just as cute and clean in person as it was in the pictures. Most nights we bought seafood and stayed in an cooked.
We highly recommend the Port St Joe Shrimp Co! The kitchen is so well-equipped, the cookware was awesome. There were enough plates to feed a small army, so I wasn’t always washing dishes. It was a little rainy while we were there, but we still had plenty of time to spend at the beach. We went into the Port St Joe Piggly Wiggly to get groceries, visited the Lighthouse, and drove through the quaint little downtown area. We also drove down to Apalachicola one day. Another neat little town with lots of fresh seafood restaurants.
Best of all, we relaxed and spent time playing on the beach and at the pool. Our little girl and our furry boys loved it all! My husband actually considered not having cell service to be a bonus feature! The wi-fi worked great throughout the unit too. Our daughter cried when we left and we honestly can’t wait to get back. No crowds and no traffic make for one of the best vacations I’ve had. All of our friends and family have asked us how we found it and they want to check it out now too! Maybe we should have kept the secret to ourselves though! Thanks again, Wendy and all the staff for such a great vacation. Hope to get back your way sooner than later!
This townhouse was the best part of my trip! I would love to bring the rest of my family there again sometime.
The best part was for me to play with my dog on the pet-friendly beach.
Everything in the home was perfect right down to the pet towels.
Thank you we really enjoyed our days there. The place was very nice and we appreciated the clean appearance of the home.

We arrived home safely and are recovering from vacation. We enjoyed our stay at Barrier Dunes. While we were there we took a sunset horseback ride with Two Bit Stables and enjoyed exploring the area. We visited Apalach and found it quaint while we were there we ate at the OWL restaurant food was excellent. We enjoyed the Indian Pass Raw Bar the baked oysters were superb and the steam shrimp was excellent. We ate at the Dockside Resturant twice and sat in their dog-friendly outside seating area.
