Relax in SEAS THE DAY, possibly, the most spacious, grand vacation home of its kind in the St. Joe Beach/Mexico Beach area.  This beautifully decorated home boasts over 8,600 square feet of living space, which includes over 4,000 square feet of gulf front deck and entertainment space, 3 gulf front living areas that all open out to one of the many deep-set balconies, 5 gulf front spacious, private king masters; all with spacious en-suites which have large (8' & 10'), black granite vanities with double oversized sinks and all with nice sized closets, 2 bunk rooms with custom built bunk beds and each with it's own private bathroom, a large bedroom with 2 queen beds, en-suite with double vanity sinks and  sitting area which has a full size let out sofa bed and 2 large chairs. Sofa bed allows for some flexibility of sleeping arrangements if needed, but, is 'extra sleeping', not included in the 24 max (which is all regular bedding),  Also, 2 well-stocked full kitchens plus an additional kitchenette, separate bar area with 4-stage reverse osmosis water filter/dispenser, elevator servicing all floors, 3 laundry suites (one on each level), 12 flat screen TV's (one in every bedroom and living room), 2 private, heated, pools working in tandem - one of which is a large spill over lounging pool - seats 10, large enclosed travertine pool deck area with an abundance of seating options - covered and open air, 3 outdoor park style charcoal grills, private boardwalk to the beach, and more.  All full bathrooms are equipped with a hair dryer.  All vanities and countertops throughout the home are natural stone. Complimentary amenities include the use of both pools, 2 tandem kayaks, 2 paddle boards and an outdoor rolling ping pong table. Parking accommodations for up to 14 cars.

2 unique features receive consistent praise from our guests:  added PRIVACY & SPACIOUS bedrooms and bathrooms!  When constructing Seas The Day, we took special care to ensure that the bedrooms and bathrooms were private and spacious and that none of the 8 bedrooms or 9 bathrooms share a wall.  You'll notice that all of our gulf front king master bedrooms are, especially, spacious and all have nice sized closets.  You will never experience a lack of privacy or space like you, possibly, have experienced when residing in back to back small, cramped, hotel rooms.  Every bedroom in the house is separated by either a spacious living area or hallway to ensure privacy.  Additionally, there are 4 separate living areas, each with it's own seating group and TV.

The main kitchen, dining and living area is, exceedingly, spacious with plenty of seating to comfortably accommodate the entire household.  The island/bar area seats 5-6, the main dining  table seats 10, and the living area seats 8 or more.  Plus there are other dining options throughout the house as there is a gulf front screened in dining area with 2 ceiling fans and beautiful teakwood table on the main deck (seats 8), plus 2 dining areas on level 2 - deck dining table seats 8, and indoor dining table seats 6.  Combined, Seas The Day accomodates dining table/bar seating for 24 on the main level plus an additional 14 on level 2 ...more than enough to accomodate the max capacity of 24.  Both kitchens and the kitchenette are well stocked and equipped with modern appliances (including 2 dishwashers in the main kitchen and 1 in the other full kitchen).

All of our balconies are at minimum, 10 feet deep and in some places, a boasting 21 feet deep, with all 3 balconies sharing a spacious length of 42 foot.

SEAS THE DAY is the perfect setting for your annual family gathering, friends trip, couples trip, or to just get away from it all.  The gulf front views and sunsets from Seas The Day balconies are breathtaking!!!

We got lucky.    Jul 13, 2019

You can't schedule the weather so when Tropical Storm Barry was making landfall in Louisiana, we expected to get some associated rain and foul weather. We didn't. As a matter of fact, we had beautiful weather for our week-long stay with 11 adults and 8 grandkids. This was the perfect set-up. The house is big enough for moments of privacy and wonderfully communal for the whole bunch to be rowdy together. We got lucky and we loved it. We had beach time everyday and brought out the kayaks and paddleboards just to see if we could operate everything. We are good with Kayaks, not so much with paddleboards. The pool and tub and charcoal grill all got a workout. Hurricane Michael came through last October (2018) with 155 MPH winds. The fact that Seas the Day survived is testimony to its construction. Most everything else was torn up. Seas the Day was restored and improved upon by the owners. The whole layout is well thought out. All the amenities are necessary and useful. We've stayed at several home rentals in the area and this is by far the best. We've already put in a deposit for next year.

Seas the Day    Jul 06, 2019

Our family has enjoyed this wonderful house for the past three years for a week during July. The house is the perfect size for our family, 19-24 people. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well decorated. The pool is safe and fun. The elevator is great for taking belongs into and out of the house. Overall the Seas the Day is the best house we've ever rented.

Best beach house!    Jun 15, 2019

We recently stayed at Seas the Day (this was actually our 3rd stay) and the updates and upgrades completed after the hurricane are remarkable - this is the best beach house ever and we have stayed everywhere in the panhandle. Every detail was thought out. The spill over into the pool was a huge hit with our group. The outside restroom was the BEST IDEA EVER! More beach houses should look to Seas the Day for what to offer in a beach home. Hats off to the owners of Seas the Day. Julie and Todd are super friendly and they make you feel as though fun and comfort on your vacation is their top priority. We had no complaints and hope to stay at Seas the Day again in the future.

Julie Layman's reply:

Cynthia, We always enjoy hosting you and your group and look forward to do so again! Thank you!!! Julie & Todd

Picture Perfect!    Aug 04, 2018

Seas the Day was incredible! The king size bedrooms with gorgeous views from every room and angle were amazing. Spacious, comfortable, clean, convenient and the best house we have stayed in by far! The kitchens were well stocked and had everything you could think of. The house was decorated and set up with so much time and attention to detail that it truly is “PERFECT.” Julie the owner was amazing. Very kind, helpful and honestly someone you feel like you’ve known forever. She made us feel welcomed and checked on us by text to see if we needed anything. We were impressed with how geniune she was. This will definitely be a home we will return to over and over again! Oh and the kayaks were an added bonus!!

Perfect Family Accommodations    Jul 21, 2018

A year ago, our oldest granddaughter who was about to graduate from high school asked if our family could stay in one house for vacation, instead of separate condos. I spent days searching the internet for the best lodging in the Florida Panhandle for our family of 15 who for many years have vacationed together. I narrowed our selections to three properties and let our family vote! Seas the Day in "old Florida" Pt. St. Joe won, and we booked it nearly a year in advance for our 2018 trip. We were not disappointed! The accommodations were perfect--8 bedrooms, 8 1/2 baths, the main kitchen and the smaller kitchens on the other two floors, two laundry rooms, the balconies that provided stunning views of the water and the sunset...I could go on and on. We had friends staying in Destin (beautiful place that we visit often) who said the beaches there were 8 rows deep in umbrellas. Not at Seas the Day! We set up our tent, four umbrellas, and all our beach chairs on what seemed like our own private beach. The kayaks and the paddle boards provided by the owner were a hit with our family, and we enjoyed them every day we were on the beach. We had five of our youngest grandchildren with us, ages 13 and under. The bunk rooms, one for our three girls and one for our two boys, each with its own bath, provided their own space which they loved! We enjoyed our times together as a family, usually on the main floor open kitchen, dining and living area, and then everyone had their places to escape for a little quiet and solitary space. My husband and I spent time on our balcony counting our blessings as we watched our three sons, their wives, and six of our seven grandchildren having a wonderful time in such a special place. We also enjoyed a family bonfire on the beach one night--making s'mores and laughing at the stories and antics from the comedians in our family. We cooked a huge southern breakfast every morning and grilled out for evening meals. We ate out only one night, and thoroughly enjoyed not having to get dressed to go out. The location was exactly what we needed for our annual late afternoon family photo. My husband and I travel a lot, and we've never had a better experience with an owner/manager than we had with Julie Layman. She responded promptly to every email and text I sent, and she went above and beyond our expectations to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Too good to be true? No, Seas the Day is everything you read about and more!

Best Beach Vacation Ever!    Jul 21, 2018

We have enjoyed family beach vacations for over 30 years. Our time this year staying in Seas The Day was the best ever. The house was large enough for my parents, my two brothers and our three families. We enjoyed meals together on the second floor. We enjoyed catching up and talking out on the deck. Each floor's deck allowed for time in the morning and in the evenings to look and listen to God's beautiful creation. Access to the beach was quick and easy via the boardwalk from the house. We all enjoyed the two kayaks and the two paddle boards. I can't think of anything Julie could have done to make our stay any better.

Another reviewer hesitant to let the world know about this fabulous house. Our family of 3 generations has had a weekly family vacation for over 30 years. This house is perfection for us. The memories we are making there are priceless. We stay in and cook with the fully complete kitchen. We love the amount of bedrooms; their beauty and roominess. The outside decks offer breathtakingly clear views of the ocean and the sunsets. Julie takes an interest in all of her guests. She is available all the time to keep everyone happy. Cannot say enough positive things about this lovely, lovely house.

Family gathering    Jun 23, 2018

Cannot say enough good things about Seas the Day.  Our family was coming from 5 different states, as far away as Ohio, as close as Alabama.  As everyone arrived and walked through the house they came to me and told me how perfect the place was and the view from all levels was amazing!  Our younger group did visit a few restaurants and had good things to say about all.  We ate most meals at home and the kitchen had every pot, plate, glass, utensils, you name it, it was there.  Having two dishwashers and two sets of washer/dryers was wonderful, dishes were always clean and so were beach towels.  Our group filled the house to capacity and yet we had plenty of room to gather together or find a quiet spot out on one of the 3 balconies.  I was concerned we would be on top of each other, we went from 9 months to 61 years but the house, the pool, and the PRIVATE beach front met all of our desires.  It was perfect!  A previous review mentioned not wanting to list all the wonderful things about the house so that he could always rent the house himself, our group felt the same way.  The owner, Julie, was always available to answer any questions before our stay and checked in with me to make sure all was well during our stay.  I did have the pleasure of meeting her and putting a face with the name.  Our family was blessed to have this opportunity to be together for one full week, Julie allowed that to happen and we thank her from the bottom of our hearts.  Cindy

Amazing Beach House!    Apr 20, 2018

Had the pleasure of staying at this house for over a week with a large group of people. Very modern and comfortable with plenty of bed rooms and bathrooms. The house is right on a beautiful part of the beach that is quiet and lovely. The pool is heated and perfect for hanging out in. Great house. Would deff stay again!

Julie Layman's reply:

Will, Thank you for reviewing your stay with us. Future guests appreciate hearing experiences that you had while here.

Perfect Beach House/Host/Location    Apr 20, 2018

There is not enough room to write how incredible this home is. From the home itself to the host, Julie, myself and a large group of people visited Mexico Beach/Port Saint Joe for a work trip and everyone of our crew have since asked for direct contact with the homeowner so they can bring their families back to experience this place. While I know great reviews help the owner, I kinda don't want this place discovered, as it is simply perfect. I say that selfishly as I hope it is available when I bring my family back THIS SUMMER. The host was so accommodating that we insisted meeting in person to buy a dinner. This trip from the home to the local town was life changing. My email is if anyone wants to ask me directly how special this place is. Thank you Julie! It was so great to meet you and I hope to see ya agin this summer!

Julie Layman's reply:

And, thank you, Casey, for your comments and even offering to personally help future guests have their questions answered by you, who has experienced, first hand, Seas The Day and the local charm of Port St. Joe. Likewise, it was great to meet you and it would me my pleasure to host you and see you again this summer or anytime!

Wonderful place to stay!    Jan 12, 2018

I stayed here with a group of 22 ladies. The view was wonderful and the bed/bath set up was perfect. This house is fully furnished with everything you could possibly need. It is equipped with an elevator which is great for hauling up groceries but the stairs are roomy and easy to use with bulky items like suitcases and such. The owners were fabulous and great to work with. It is really evident just how much pride they have in this property. We are already planning our return trip for 2019!

Julie Layman's reply:

We, truly, appreciate that you took the time to post a complimentary review. The most rewarding aspect, as owners who designed and built our home with the intent that others could share in all that the area has to offer, hearing that our guests, thoroughly, enjoyed themselves is priceless. Thank you! You and your group of friends were a pleasure to host! We look forward to having you as guests again!
