Lovely home in a great location. House across from beach and has a view of ocean from front porch. Some local restaurants within walking distance. Especially enjoyed walking on the beach to Blue Parrot for dinner. Paddy's Raw Bar was a very casual restaurant with excellent food, outdoor seating and live entertainment. Local grocery store very close which was convenient as we had a few things to buy for the house stay that we did not bring ( toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent ,paper towels). Many local stores offering beach chair rentals if needed as well as bikes ,kayaks, and other water sport equipment .We had beautiful weather and beautiful sunrises. We spent most of our time on the beach relaxing and watching dolphins. We did venture out to the APALACHICOLA NATIONAL ESTUARINE RESEARCH RESERVE ( just over the bridge) which I would highly recommend. Got to see the otters early morning while walking though the reserve. Would love to go back and stay again!

The property was amazing as usual. This was our 3rd consecutive year at the property and its great to see the small things are consistently cared for. The property is clean, the location is amazing. The owners clearly care for their property as well, which is evident in the maintenance of the grounds. Each year we've returned we've seen repairs and improvements that show the hosts are involved and truly invested in ensuring this is a premiere rental property on SGI. The beds are comfortable. There have always been an appropriate amount of linens and towels. The Loggerhead is truly a place to leave all your worries and stress and relax, enjoying the seclusion of St. George Island.

Great place to stay! We were very pleased. I’m glad pets aren’t allowed on the property. Close to the beach, just a few steps away.

For our family with allergies, having leather couches was wonderful! The house and the pool were very clean. The house was furnished well. Beds were comfortable. Hosts were quick to respond to confirm arrangements. Walk across a moderately quiet street to the pavers to walk on to access the beach...very close and easy. Bike path is around the block...easy to access and great to ride on for quick trips to the stores. We were very pleased with this get-away!

Our family had a great beach house vacation at the Loggerhead property. The beach access fantastic being just across the street. The sand was nice and there were shells to be found as well as many live sand dollars and hermit crabs found with our toes out in the water. The house has a nice couch and 2 recliners with a nice TV with cable and good WiFi internet access so everyone was happy when they were hanging out in the house. The pool is a good size and nice and fenced in and the kids spent more time there than about anywhere else. Would recommend checking out the fishing pier that was converted from the old road to the island. Even if you don't fish it's a nice walk to the end and we got to see people catch a 25lb black drum and a stingray while we were walking it. In all we had an excellent beach house vacation at Loggerhead on St. George Island and look forward to returning again in the future.
