Beginning Monday, Sept 14, 2020 bars and other alcoholic beverage vendors may resume sales of alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises.

The COVID shutdown in Florida required all retail establishments (including restaurants and bars) to completely shut down.

As Florida began to reopen after the COVID shutdown, bars could operate at 50% occupancy starting on June 3, 2020. After a spike in COVID cases, Emergency Order 20-9 suspended consumption of alcohol on premises for bars but restaurants (establishments with less than 50% revenue from alcohol sales) could continue operating.

As of 12:01AM, Monday, September 14, 2020, bars will be allowed to operate at 50% indoor capacity if they provide seated service only and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

We will keep you posted of any future developments.
