Meet & Contact Jane Marie Haffner

Like many people, 2021 brought many changes in our lives. Trying to survive a challenging few years of losing all of our parents & other tribulations, we had been considering buying a vacation property since 2018. When we stumbled upon this magical place in December of 2020, we knew we had found the perfect paradise for our family to make our dream of owning a vacation estate, a reality.

Father & husband, Kurt, mused that we needed a theme for our house. Having graduated from Miami of Ohio, where houses in the college town of Oxford are named, just as they are in England, wife & mother, Jane Marie or "Janie," as known to her friends/ family, set out to collaborate with the family on naming our new found paradise.

We as a family decided on calling it "Calypso Light Haus." The house is a gorgeous beacon of crystal and lights when lit up & viewed from outdoors and HAUS implies a German place of merriment. Calypso also implies a mystical, magical connection & harmony with the sea. In addition we enjoy listening to beachy themed Calypso tunes in music as well, such as some of the guitar sounds in Kip Moore's tune, "South."

Calypso Light Haus has brought our family even closer together, and we hope it can do the same for you and your guests. We haven't figured out exactly why, but sleeping well here has been easy for anyone who visits! Regardless of which of the 3 large bedrooms, the bunk area, or even the bonus room ottoman (which becomes a twin size bed on the top floor), in which guests are sleeping, everyone who stays, as well as our family, has reported the most restful sleeping imaginable!
