About Sylvia & Bert
My husband, son and I have been Atlanta residents for 24+ years, living in the Morningside neighborhood. Bert is on the faculty at Georgia Tech, I am a residential realtor with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's, and our son, Jackson just graduated from Loyola Marymount University and is working in Los Angeles. We love dogs, hiking, cars, dogs, gardening, traveling, cooking, and dogs (did we say dogs?). Bert is Dutch, I am Colombian, and Jackson is Atlanta-born and raised. We have two large mutt dogs -- Phoebe (98 pounds), Austin (84 pounds) and one cat, Nellie (9 pounds).

Why Sylvia & Bert chose Seagrass
Our friends Anne & Jim introduced us to Cape San Blas because we were looking for a dog friendly beach. We immediately fell in love with CSB due to the very laid-back vibe, the quiet, being surrounded by both the Bay and the Gulf, the white-sand beach, the delicious seafood, plus the very friendly locals. What more could we ask for?! It is our place to unwind and de-stress. We plan our day around the sunset -- Cape San Blas has the best!
What makes this House unique
Our favorite things at CSB are the quiet, low-key relaxed feeling, kayaking on the Bay, local oysters/shrimp/grouper/tuna dip, long dog walks on the beach, bike-riding on the 8-mile trail, hiking at the Stump Hole to the Donna Kay shipwreck, hiking at St. Joe State Park, shopping at Apalachicola, the local beer (Oyster City brewery), early morning donuts (Tues-Sat) at Weber's, crossing the street for low-country boil and gumbo at Scully's, convenience of Tradin' Post general store, and, of course, sunsets from the porch!
