This place is even more lovely than the pictures. It’s super quiet, cozy and clean, and it’s beautifully decorated. The back porch is an amazing spot to watch the sunset over the bay, and the kitchen has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Added bonus, which is almost never the case in a vacation rental - the bed is very comfortable. The property manager is very attentive and responsive also. Can’t wait to stay at Bay Hammock again!

Just got home from a perfectly relaxing weekend here! Bay Hammock is lovely. We enjoyed the cozy, comfy cottage with everything you need. The location is fantastic to enjoy both the bay & beach. Had fabulous sunrises & sunsets everyday to enjoy. Michelle was so great with communication and the cottage was spotless with comfy furniture and beds. We biked to the beach, enjoyed The Smokehouse restaurant across the street we were able to walk right over. Short drive to Port St. Joe & North side of Cape San Blas. We definitely will be back.

It was very clean and secluded. Very peaceful surroundings. Michelle was also very responsive. We would gladly return.

Some small issues we had:
Mailbox didn’t have address on it, was a little confusing.
Bedroom didn’t have shades for all the windows, hard for light sleepers like me to sleep in.
Kitchen cabinets were full, there wasn’t room for groceries we brought.

Beautiful property. Michelle has thought of everything. There were bikes to ride on the trail. We took the bikes to the beach one day. The beach is also walking distance. Wonderful house. Fully equipped kitchen. We cook several meals. The BBQ restaurant across the street is fantastic! Can’t say enough positive things about our stay. We will be back for sure!!! Thank you so much!

In the mornings, sit and enjoy the bay from your elevated screened-in porch while sipping coffee and curling up with a great book. The tree-filtered views toward the water offer an optimum vantage point for birdwatching. Herons, shorebirds, owls and eagles frequent the skies just outside your door.
Start your evenings with perfect sunsets from the deck, or take a short stroll down the nature path to stargaze from the fire pit. Explore the Cape on bicycle, kayak or paddleboard. A short stroll across the street takes you to Gulf County’s walk-on boardwalk access to the gulf at Pebble Beach. A beach cart is provided for our guests. An outdoor shower and lower, covered deck for your gear awaits your return after a day in the sun.
Bay Hammock is located less than a mile from Salinas Park, giving you easy beach access, parking, observation area/boardwalk, Pickleball courts volleyball area, a playground, restrooms and more! Immediate access to the 8-mile Logger Head Walk/Bike Path is found just outside the property entrance/drive.
For those looking to explore the nearby towns and local shops, Port St Joe and Apalachicola are both within easy reach of The Bay Hammock Cottage, offering additional dining, shopping, and entertainment options. With so much to do and see in the area, guests are sure to have a memorable and enjoyable vacation at The Bay Hammock Cottage.

Guest have access to the entire cottage. There is a partial dock that is shared with the neighboring home (Twin Gables) Please access this area via the path behind the Bay Hammock. Please do not disturb or allow pets into the yard or pool area of Twin Gables. The dock leads out to the marsh and from there you can carry your kayak or paddleboard to the water.

There is parking for up to 2 vehicles. There is also the loggerhead trail which spans the entire cape for walking and bike riding.
The driveway is shared when you enter but if go left at the fork you will arrive at the Bay Hammock.
