SANDDOLLAR TOWNHOMES, UNIT 5, Miramar Beach, Florida Vacation Rental by Owner

This condo was Nasty. It would have been nice to have had a nice clean place. Blood stains on sofa and it is Filthy along with the rug it sits on. Food and dust on walls. Food and stuff in beds and all furniture . This condo is in Desperate need of a TRUE Deep Cleaning. Needs new mattresses as all of these are stained. Carpet on stairs are so smelly from mildew. Shower that is supposed to be new is disgusting. Ewww never again.

Great location! Right on the beach! This place has everything to accommodate a large group. Good location near restaurants, shopping, etc. Would definitely recommend!

Being at this townhome was a great way to escape much colder winter temperatures at home. The townhouse is very comfortable, nicely decorated, and much of it has been recently updated. It was reasonably clean upon arrival, but we did some extra cleaning of high-touch areas including doors and walls around light switches since we were going to be there for a longer stay. The kitchen is well-appointed and had everything we needed. The wifi easily supported two people working from home, and the Roku TVs (though there was a bit of a learning curve for using) allowed us to watch free shows available through Roku and watch via our streaming services. The beds were comfortable, and the shower pressure was good. Having a full-size washer and dryer was definitely a plus for our longer stay. There are a lot of stairs (as you would imagine for a townhouse) both inside and down to the beach. This was not a problem for us, but something to consider for potential renters with mobility issues. Sonia was extremely communicative, and any question or issue we had, she made sure it was answered and taken care of quickly. She was very nice and responsive. The best parts of being at this townhouse are the views and the location. Being right on the beach with clear views of the ocean is INCREDIBLE. Being able to grill in the evenings and eat every meal on the balcony (when it wasn't raining) with views of the ocean, sunrise, and sunset (and the occasional dolphin pod swimming by) really made our stay feel like a long vacation. Also, having the boardwalk next to the townhouse and the walking path across the street made it easy to go for walks and take the dog out. I definitely did not want to leave and look forward to staying here again next year.

This place is perfect if you have multiple families or generations vacationing together. There is enough space to be together but also to be apart. Me and my parents on the top floor, my kids and grandkids on the bottom floor, with a common floor in between, score! The location is great, all beds were used and deemed comfortable (which is a major plus). The furniture was comfortable, clean, and newer. The condo was NOT decorated in the normal gaudy beach themes and felt like it could have been someone's home. Nice appliances in the kitchen and the place was stocked well enough to cook Thanksgiving for 10 people. The only downside, which is not a downside but a given having a four-story condo is there are a lot of steep stairs, but it helped me get my steps in! The owner was super responsive and I cannot recommend this place enough!

Despite Hurricane Idas weather we had a great vacation. This townhome was perfect location right on the beach.. the grill on the main deck was replaced during our stay which was great for us to save money on eating out. The amount of beach toys that this property had was AMAZING for all of to use during our stay. Sonia was very attentive and answered all of our questions/concerns quickly. Will definitely be back!

This was our second time staying at sand dollar 5 and I must say they have really updated everything in this house since our last visit about 3 years ago. All appliances and bathrooms are top notch as well as freshly painted look. We spend most of our time on the main deck if we’re not on the sand which is the same great view and plenty of room With two tables with chairs. Sonia is very responsive to texts no matter the question and really makes you feel comfortable. Oh did I mention best location location location! Thanks for another great trip.

As a family we absolutely love Destin! Our children are now grown, but it’s so very important to set aside a week to spend together each year! We’ve stayed at several of the Sand Dollar Townhomes, but this unit satisfied our group of 9. Setting our things up on the beach early in the morning, enjoying the beach, heading up for lunch, then strolling over to pompano joes for happy hour was our daily routine. Because of our large group we took turns cooking each night, which was a blast and we saved a ton of money! The grill on the patio was perfect. You can even have groceries delivered straight to your door. An ice cream and souvenir shop are right across the street. The layout of this townhouse is perfect! Our little dogs Bud and George had a blast. Finding an accommodating place on the beach that is pet friendly, clean and at a good price is very hard to find in Destin. Save time looking, just book. I can say this now, because we’ve already booked our dates for 10 days instead of 7 for next year! Thanks for the precious memories made in your adorable townhome. ??

This house was perfect for our family of 10 vacation! Plenty of room for everyone including 7 people ages 14-25. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need. Each bedroom has a large TV. Plenty of seating room indoor and outdoor, all 3 outdoor decks were the perfect spot to enjoy the beautiful view. Outdoor back porch has a rinse station which comes in very handy. Plenty of beach toys, chairs, and kites are all stored below stairs! Private beach is amazing. So much less crowded than the resort private beaches. Restaurants are within walking distance, ice cream and souvenir shop located directly across the street. Air conditioning worked Great!!! We drove a truck, so parking was a little tight, but definitely workable!! We LOVED and enjoyed our stay here and we will 100% stay here again! We highly recommend this home!!!

Sanddollar #5 was an absolute gem! Great location, price, and set-up. We will absolutely recommend and stay again. The decor was welcoming, we had great space for 4 adults and 3 kids, and there wasn’t a complaint from the family to be had. I’ll take my coffee on the back deck anytime! There were even fireworks off the beach on NYE.

Absolutely the best!!! Friendly and very responsive owner! We stayed in Unit 5 for 3 amazing months this winter! The interior is lovely, especially the kitchen. It is so well appointed with beautiful granite counters, and we loved having a pantry, which you don’t see very often in rentals. The direct gulf views are stunning from inside and outside on the decks of all 4 levels! . The ability to walk right on the beach from your unit is such a treasure! We saw dancing dolphins during the day and incredible star gazing from our private upstairs bedroom balcony at night. The owners, just completed a major remodel, and we can’t wait to see the new remodel! We will absolutely book again soon! Thank you for a fantastic vacation home!

Sandollar Townhouse Unit 5 was a very nice home. It was perfect for a family of 5 adults & 4 teens. It was nice having our own private beach- it was an extra nice touch to have plenty of beach chairs & toys ! Mike was such a sweet man- he called several times to see how we were enjoying ourselves & to make sure the house was to our liking! It was a WONDERFUL week! Thank you Riddle family for sharing your vacation home with us!!

This was our second time staying at a sand dollar home and by far it is the best location we've stayed at. Only a 3 minute walk to pompano joes for great food or drinks,directly across the street is a great ice cream shop where you can watch them make it from scratch with your selected ingredients. There is also a small shop stuffed with all your beach needs and souvenirs across the street and the employees were super nice and helpful. Brand new Alvins Island and scooter rentals also located across the street. The oversized deck on the second floor was our favorite hangout spot for beautiful sunrise,sunset and full moon views. The pvc stool/chairs were very comfortable on this deck. The king size master bed was very comfortable and the couple staying with us said the same about the queen bed on first floor. The house was clean and sufficient towels,linens. My only dislike was the spiral staircases going down to beach level instead of steps on the outside from deck to deck. Thanks for a nice stay Linda.

Thank you Chuck for the great review. We try to do everything we can to make our beach place great. Unfortunately the steps to beach are not a thing we can change. But the spiral stares is only for part of the way and we have put handles all along the way and treads on the steps in an effort to make them safe.
