Seahorse Retreat Rental Policies:
We rent Saturday to Saturday only for weekly rentals, March through mid October. $800 refundable damage/security deposit in addition to rent will be returned when our cleaning staff determines all is in order/no damage. One-half of rent due with rental agreements; remaining half and damage deposit due 30 days before check-in.
We do not rent to 25 and under or student groups. No pets, parties, or smoking. Sorry, we cannot accommodate weddings, receptions, or any other event.

Our family had a great experience at the Seahorse Retreat. The house is lovely and had everything we needed. We loved the large mainly private outdoor area which was great for family yard games. The owner was wonderful to work with and was prompt to reply to my questions. She made the whole process smooth and stress free. We highly recommend the Seahorse Retreat!

We had a fantastic experience at the Seahorse Retreat. There were 12 of us total and we had so much room to spread out. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the beautiful outdoor area. The pool and hottub were perfect for a day of swimming or evening of relaxation. We utilized the porches and the hammock and found the breeze from the sound to be quite refreshing on a hot day. Having a garage full of floaties, beach chairs, kayaks, life jackets, etc was so helpful. We even caught a couple big crabs out by the dock in the trap that was in the garage. Fishing from the dock was fun and our kids enjoyed snorkeling. I will admit I wasn’t so sure about not staying directly on the ocean front but this exceeded my expectations and I would prefer to now stay here than anywhere else. The owner was wonderful to work with and was prompt to reply if I had any questions. She made the whole process smooth and stress free. We highly recommend the Seahorse Retreat!

This house was perfect and amazing!! We had one of the best vacations. The house was huge, full of anything we might have needed. Every morning we got to watch dolphins swim In the sound. We went front the deck to the pool to the pier and back and never left the property. It really was so relaxing and amazing!!!

Our family..10 of us...vacationed here over Thanksgiving break. The house was spotless and the outside back yard was wonderful. We had a pool, above ground spa, and a wonderfully long dock. Inside it had plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and a washer and dryer, lots of kitchen supplies, etc. in the basement there was lots of beach toys, foosball table and ping pong table. The house was just right. You won’t go wrong renting this place. Good location and great tv, etc.

We were 15 people, and six family units staying in The Seahorse Retreat and there was plenty of room for all of us! The house and outdoor delights were absolutely the best. I can’t say enough about this vacation spot. We really enjoyed being so close to the private pool, hot tub, and beach area. The owners are very accommodating and were always checking up on us to make sure everything was as we expected. Booking through the owner is a much easier experience than a management company - and cheaper too! I would absolutely consider this spot for vacationing at, again! Go Blues! ??

We stayed Oct 20-27, having been displaced from Port St. Joe due to hurricane. Owner was quick to respond to our inquiry and responsive to all questions. We are a family of 16 (8 adults and 8 children between the ages of 2-15). The home was set up perfectly for our family and was clean and well-stocked. The beach is shallow for young children and owners provide plenty of beach toys, including two kayaks. The pool and spa were a bonus on the days it was cool for the beach. The home is located close to attractions for day trips. A lovely home and great location for perfect vacation. We would definitely return.

This place is amazing! What can I say? From the moment you walk in, you can see the breathtaking views straight out the back! The bedrooms were all nicely decorated and all had comfortable beds. There was plenty of room to hang out with the family and the kitchen was great to work in. Two refrigerators were helpful too! The pool and hot tub were great and the beach was fantastic. Lots of calm water to kayak, paddle board or to just sit and relax. The garage has plenty of beach chairs and pool floats so that was one less thing to have to pack in the car if you want to drive down the road and catch some waves. The owners are very attentive and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

We really loved everything about the Mary Esther experience. The house was amazingly beautiful as well as spacious enough for us to play together or have our own space away from the group. The hot tub was used daily and the ocean daily as well! We had never stayed where the ocean was so accessible, clear and calm for us to enjoy each day! I even let my 3 year old just play away in it. This is a beautiful house and property. This was our family vacation with 10 adults. Loved the beautiful setting right on the water. So relaxing and super comfortable. We so much enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked with every tool one could use to prepare meals. The extra refrigerator came in very handy. Everyone had theIr own bathroom....yay! The nearby beaches are beautiful. We spent a day at a Destin beach....the sand and the Gulf were incredibly gorgeous. We would definitely rent again in the future. Thank you Spaid's for a delightful visit.

This house was a beautiful and well equipped house to spend a vacation! It was so nice to wake up and have the view of the water, blue sky, and pool--Beautiful!! The infinity pool, the spa, the pier, the 3 porches, and the view from all of them was so peaceful and relaxing. The owners have thought about almost everything to make your stay wonderful. You are close to beaches, shopping, and restaurants. We had 6 adults and 10 older young adults and we all had a fantastic time and enjoyed our selves so much!

The Seahorse Retreat is a lovely villa in a tropical setting that is perfect for family reunions or get-togethers with friends.
The signature landscape features a palm court, infinity edge swimming pool, large in-ground spa, and beautiful flowering plants that overlooks a private beach, dock, and the Santa Rosa Sound. While the in-ground spa and dock is exclusively for the use of guests in this home, the pool is shared with the Palm Breeze Beach House (sleeps 18)- a similar home we manage that can also be rented together or separately. Each home is on 1/2 acre and enclosed by a fence for privacy.
You'll have multiple porches outfitted with comfortable furniture to relax and marvel at the brilliant sunrises and sunsets. Most every room has incredible views of the water with access to a porch.
A Home with Style...: As beautiful the home is on the outside, on the inside every room has been designed in an eclectic West Indies decor that will have you wondering if you've landed on the doorstep of Hemingway's home. The naturalist feel is intentional to connect our guests with the local wildlife and eco-tourist offerings in the area including kayaking, fishing, bird watching, beach combing, biking, or boating. And the seahorses? You'll find them inconspicuously in the decor throughout the house.
We are located on the Santa Rosa Sound 4.5 miles east of Navarre Beach - an easy, quick drive to the Gulf Beaches. We have the best of both worlds, and here's why:
-- Private white-sand beach that is perfect for kids and adults because the Sound is shallow and clear.
-- No red flag days! The emerald water of the Gulf that you see in brochures is for real - on calm days, but if you come during a week of rough surf, you'll be stuck sitting on the sand. At our beach: No rip-tides, drop-offs, rough surf, or jellyfish. Kids can build sandcastles, look for little fish, or crab and fish from our dock. Explore the Sound on a two-person kayak. You can also bring a boat or jet-skis. And...the Sound is a perfect place to try stand-up paddle boarding.
-- Yet ... easy access to Gulf for an afternoon of wave action, deep-sea fishing, biking on the Gulf Islands National Seashore, or other Gulf-based activities. Groceries and restaurants are nearby. So are Destin and Fort Walton Beach.
-- Gorgeous 18x40 infinity-edge pool overlooking Sound (pool is not heated). There is no other pool like this on Navarre Beach! Let your stress melt away in our spa (hint: it's especially relaxing under a sky full of stars!)
-- Beautiful yard with palm trees, flowering bushes, and green grass. Plenty of room to play, explore, or run around.
Our 3,300-sq.ft. home sleeps 16:
- Two spacious masters with king beds and private baths, each opens to a balcony
- Seahorse room with queen bed and shared hall bath, opens to second floor balcony
- Kids room (sleeps 5 - one twin over twin and one twin over double bunk) and shared hall bath
- Third floor cupola (via spiral staircase) sleeps 5 (two hanging twin beds, one twin mattress) has full bath at bottom of staircase
- Terrace-level room with queen bed, private bath, and access to ground-level patio

We're sure you'll agree after viewing the property photos that the home is an ideal spot for a family retreat. This home and the one next to it, which sleeps 18, may be available for rental together and are enclosed by a fence for privacy. Both share pool, spa, beach, and dock. Sorry, we cannot accommodate weddings, receptions, or events.
