The condo was pleasantly clean, accommodating for our family, and comfortable. We were already well on the road when I got the email to print off my confirmation for the gate guard but thankfully he was very understanding. I wasn't aware that there were cameras on the premises, and I totally get it with it being a rental and we have one to, but I usually disarm it once guests have arrived. It was a little off-putting with it being on the entire stay. The walk to the beach (access 39) was not bad at all- about a 7 minute walk. We didn't try any of the pools. It got hot at night with the nest thermostat reset. The washer and dryer were nice to have since we were there for 5 days and that was a necessity. It's within driving distance to do many places. Rudy's is a must if you are looking for great and affordable BBQ! Sharkys was a fun experience for a nice sunset dinner. My kids (7, 7 & 11) absolutely loved the Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise and Wonder Works. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay and our trip.

Come to the heart of PCB and spend your days in relaxation at "Sandcastles & Sunshine," a 2-bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, two floor townhouse that comfortably sleeps six in the Gulf Highlands Resort, a quiet, family-friendly community.
The white-sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are just an 8-minute walk away. Dip your toes in one of the 11 pools located in the complex (5 heated seasonally). The community has a beach-side pool and clubhouse where snacks and food are available for guests.
There are no crowded parking garages or long waits for elevators at “Sandcastles & Sunshine.” The unit sleeps six people and includes a fully-stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a washer and dryer, a 55-inch smart TV in the living room and TVs in each of the two bedrooms. There's a dining table and counter seating downstairs.
The master bedroom includes a comfy queen bed and a sunroom while guests have two twin beds in the second bedroom. The sofa bed downstairs provides extra sleeping space.
We provide a pair of beach chairs, boogie boards, pool noodles and umbrellas for guests' use. Unwind after a day on the sand on the back patio which features a table, chairs and umbrella.
If movement is what you need, the community also has tennis courts, free mini-golf, children's playgrounds and shuffleboard. A small fitness center on property includes an elliptical machine, treadmill, recumbent bike, universal weight machine.
The beach is just a short walk away, but we also have a golf cart available to rent for $25 a day with a $250 refundable deposit. A drivers license and proof of insurance required. No drivers under 25.
