Lazy Daze, St George Island, Florida Vacation Rental by Owner

We have stayed at Lazy Daze during January through February in 2018 - 2020, 2022 and 2024 - 25. We would have liked to stay there during 2021 and 2023, but were unable to due to COVID in 2021 and our ailing German Shepherd dog in 2023. During that eight-year span, we have noticed continued maintenance and improvements, even after Hurricane Michael on May 10, 2018. We have always found Tom and Lucinda to be very helpful, cooperative and responsive. They sincerely want us to have a good time during our stays. Also being long-time dog owners, they are very receptive to having our 105-lb German Shepherd stay with us. The fenced-in area next to the pool also makes this easy. We really enjoy the view of the beach across the street. The dining room, filled with windows, adjacent to the adjoining deck makes it possible to enjoy that view in both good weather and inclement. Being there in the winter, we don't utilize the pool, large hot tub, pool table or foosball table, but feel certain they are great during the remainder of the year. The pool is maintained several times a week, so it always looks inviting. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could want for cooking.

Great house, location and all it has to offer. Time spent each day with coffee on the front porch, afternoons around the pool and evenings in the game room. Plenty of room for a large family stay, and fur babies can join you. Kitchen had everything needed for every meal, if you wish to cook. Plenty of optiosn for eating out. Paddy's is our go to. Rent a golf cart from Island Dog, they have the best deals. The game room hot tub was a little disappointing as only a portion of the jets actually work. The hammock was great for a power nap. Pool table was great entertaining while waiting for dinners on the grill. Can't wait to come back.

Great location. Well equiped kitchen. Pool and game room were a hit. Old school arcade game in house was entertaining. Enjoyed the house and all the amenities. Short walk across the street to the beach.

This is our second year staying at Lazy Dazs, it’s been great two years in a row! The view of the gulf is great even though you aren’t beach front. The path is right across the street and very convenient. The little ones liked the pool on rougher wave days and the fenced in yard for dogs is great!

We have been coming to SGI for many years, but this was our first stay at Lazy Daze. We loved it! Our family of four and little pup found it to be perfect for us. The hot tub, pool, and game room were a hit with our teenagers! The fenced area for dogs is great (yet our little naughty pup squeezed his way through the slits in the fence!). The beach path is right in front of the house and the gulf views from the front deck are amazing. Even the large living room TV was a hit so we could watch the March Madness finals. We will definitely be back.

Just got back from a spring break trip! The hot tub was amazing bc the weather was chilly. It also gave the teens a place to hang out. We will definitely be back!

We are SGI visitors since 1991 and so happy we found Lazy Daze a few years ago! It's a perfect home for our family and fur babies! Love the location, the house, the deck and beach/ocean view. The pool is wonderful and the hot tub & games are so fun! Tom and Lucinda are great about responding if anything is needed. 10+!

We stayed two weeks for Christmas this year, our second time staying at Lazy Daze, and we’re already booked to come back in July. We love the location, the view, the well-equipped kitchen, the fact that our fur-babies are welcome…..well, just everything about the place. Can’t wait to return in July.

We had an awesome week at the Lazy Daze home. Tom & Lucinda have seemed to go to great lengths to make a great vacation home. The kitchen has everything you could need to prepare any meal and we cooked most meals in daily. The only issue we had with the home was deciding what to do next! There are various board games, a game consule, many books to choose from for both kids and adults for the readers in the family and even a stereo system. The views from both decks are wonderful for sunrises and sunsets. We were even able to watch dolphins frolic and play near the beach most days! A beach access path located directly across the road from the house made it a quick walk to having toes in the sand. The pool and hot tub was regularly maintained and very clean. A pool table and foosball underneath the home was a great bonus and used often. There is an assortment of beach supplies that includes chairs, umbrellas, coolers, a wagon to haul your stuff in, toys for the kids plus much more. They even provided a credit through VayK Gear for extras such as bikes, skim boards, kayaks, etc! Thank you Tom & Lucinda! You not only have a great home, but provide a wonderful experience for making a relaxing and memorable vacation.

Just finished a week at Lazy Daze. It was probably more than we needed, but it was clean, across from the beach, and the pool was wonderful for the August heat. Could not have picked a better place to stay and are looking forward to coming back again.

This was our 6th stay at LazyDaze! We love it! It's perfect for our 2 kids and 2 dogs. Very well appointed, accommodating, comfortable and clean!

What a great trip to SGI! The stay at LazyDaze was awesome! Perfect location. Lots of amenities. Easy walk to beach with path right across the street. The water parade was lots of fun! We stayed at Lazy Daze for a week and loved every minute of it. We still had a great view of the beach and a very short walk on a private path. The home was super spacious and open and in great shape. We had 5 adults, 2 kids, and German shepherds without issue and with plenty of room! The pictures did not do it justice. The pool and under home game room were great! I highly recommend and look forward to staying again!

Just finishing up a month at Lazy Daze! Had a wonderful time and great weather. We were fortunate to be able to rent due to a last minute cancellation. We would love to stay again next February but it is already booked. Great views, nice outside furniture, hot tub, pool table, even a wagon for our grandson who visited. Quick responses from Tom and Lucinda to any questions we had. Well stocked kitchen, great views. We would definitely rent again!

Dec 26-Jan 1 . We had a wonderful vacation with our son , daughter in law and 3 grand boys. The house had everything we needed and we used every square inch. We very much appreciated the beach equipment and bicycles! I appreciated the memory foam bed in a great big way. The only soreness I had was self inflected from climbing the steps at the light house. Weather was to cool for the pool, but the hot tub was used daily. I highly recommend renting a golf cart. We don’t live close to town, so for everything to be within walking distance or a short golf cart ride was nice. This location was also close to our Florida friends that we were able to visit. The owners were always available for questions! Thank you for the memories. We hope to come back.

We just spent a wonderful week at Lazy Daze. This home is so fun and has a great beach vibe. We loved it. Great hot tub, fenced yard, pool table and even a video game. Just returned home from a week at Lazy Daze. This home was perfect for our small family. The location was great and beach access was perfect. Couldn't believe a hair dryer was furnished, as well as beach towels! Not to mention all the other things like the hot tub and pool table. We found the home clean and were even able to access it early. We will definitely be staying here again. Thanks Tom and Lucinda!

I have never rented directly from owners but after this experience, I will never rent any other way. Tom and Lucinda have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Beach towels, beach gear, a cart to haul things to the beach, bikes and a hot tub. Can't forget the pool table, Foosball table and video game console. The house was very clean, kitchen well stocked (though we did little cooking!). Furnishing a notebook with all the local information was nice. The view from the deck was amazing and the wire guard made it safe for both kids and pups! Internet access was much appreciated, as two of us had work emails to answer. Great location with easy beach access directly across the street. The house is perfect for smaller families. We will definitely return to Lazy Daze.

Our stay at Lazy Daze was amazing! We will definitely stay in this home again. Perfect location and extremely easy access to the beach. This was our second time staying at Lazy Dayz ! This home has everything you could ask for. It is convenient to town, right across from the beach, has bikes, a pool, a hottub, pool table, floats, beach chairs and everything else you would need for the beach. The owners are always in touch to answer any questions and are very nice and easy to deal with if anything comes up. I highly recommend their homes!

We stayed for a week. House was well stocked and clean. Owners were very responsive. View from the deck was amazing, and the beach access was directly across the street. Pool and hot tub were well-kept and clean. The game room was great for the entire family. Would absolutely stay here again! As a matter of fact, we tried booking for next year even before we left, but the week we needed was already taken. Great property. Great location. Great owners. Would absolutely recommend!

We have stayed at Lazy Daze several times throughout the many years. It is by far our favorite. The house is perfectly located, has the best lay out, well equipped kitchen and easiest set up for dogs. Our kids love all the extra amenities they have to offer as well. We will be back!

First of all Tom and Lucinda are the best! This is the second vacation home of theirs we have stayed in and they never disappoint. Extremely clean and well stocked. They think of everything. Beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for 6 adults. You feel like you are beachside with the great views and very short walk. The pool is amazing and perfect for the hot July afternoons. We had great weather and the best week! Thanks again to our wonderful hosts, we will definitely be back!

We had a fabulous week at Lazy Daze! The house has a great layout, a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and amenities. The location is great and the view is amazing! The beach is such a short walk. We didn't miss being beachside at all. We loved the deck and spent every morning and evening gathering and enjoying the views. The pool, hot tub, and pool tub made this place a level above! We traveled with our teenage boys and they never wanted for anything to do. They've thought of everything here! Tom and Lucinda were excellent to work with and super responsive. I highly recommend Lazy Daze and wouldn't hesitate to rent from these owners again. SGI is our happy place!!

We can't say enough good things about Lazy Daze. Tom and Lucinda made the reservation process simple and kept us informed of everything. The house has everything you need (kitchen very well stocked). The views of the Gulf from the front porch were awesome all day. Walking to the beach will not take long with the pathway directly across from the driveway. This made it easy for us to take our beach items and paddle board over to the enjoy the warm gulf. Plus it was easy to get over to watch the sunrise each morning. The pool, hot tub, pool table, foosball, bike and other beach items were a great addition too. There were plenty of things to do and still feel relaxed at the end of each day. Certainly would recommend this place for anyone. Our pet loved the place as well and the fenced decks allowed her to enjoy things too. You will not be disappointed. The owners quickly responded to concerns (ie cable/internet outage) that came up during our stay.

My family had the privilege of boing able to stay at Lazy Daze for January and February. The kitchen is well-stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the layout of the house is ideal for multiple people. The location provides easy access to the beach for plenty of walks to see the sunrise and sunset. It truly made for an amazing two months, and I would definitely recommend this property. Also, Tom and Lucinda were very flexible, responsive, and hospitable during our stay. As further proof of how much we enjoyed the trip, we have booked another of their properties for January and February of 2022z.

This was our first visit to SGI and it won't be our last. It is a wonderful, quiet island and our stay at Lazy Daze was perfect! The home was clean and extremely well stocked with everything you need for your beach vacation. Tom and Lucinda were the perfect hosts, very responsive and took care of any concerns we had immediately. The views from the deck were amazing and we were fortunate to see dolphins and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It is ideal for pets and our dogs had the best time traveling with us and seeing the beach for the first time. I can't say enough about our visit and our perfect family Christmas!

This was our first time visit to St. George Island. The Island is wonderful and the Lazy Daze beach house was a definite plus. It was clean and extremely well stocked with anything you would want or need during your stay. The location was perfect, right across from the beach with very easy access. The views were amazing, we watched beautiful sunrises and dolphins swimming in the ocean. Tom and Lucinda are very available if any questions arise so communication was great. St. George Island is dog friendly and Lazy Daze has a fenced in yard so it is perfect for dog lovers and ours were very happy to get to join us. It was wonderful Family Christmas!!

St. George is a hidden gem when it comes to Florida Beach destinations and that is a good thing! St. George offers the quintessential laid back beach vibe. We had a great week for our Fall vacation. Lazy Daze was the perfect place for our time at the beach. The location was fantastic - close to shops, restaurants, fishing, etc and just just across the street from the beach. We appreciated all the activities for our little kids from the pool to pool table, foosball to beach toys. There was tons of room inside and we were certainly spoiled by the large kitchen! We had everything we needed during our stay. The outdoor space was wonderful from the deck to having multiple places to wash off after beach time. We were afraid it would be too warm to enjoy the hot tub but it was perfect. We hated to leave but look forward to returning next year and hopefully for many more years to come!

Loved loved loved Lazy Daze. Will definitely stay there again. The house was perfectly situated immediately across from the walking trail onto the sand and ocean. We cooked all meals at the house (because of Covid concerns). The kitchen and house was extremely well stocked with everything from dishes, pots, pans, spices, etc. it’s a perfect set up for our fur babies. They could meander around the property freely while we were at the beach. They mostly hung out on the deck and ‘people watched’. No concerns about them escaping. Lazy Daze has been our favorite rental on SGI. We’ll stay there again for sure! Lots of toys and the pool and hot tub was perfect too. Highly recommend!

Owners are very involved with their rentals, good people! Only had one issue that was not resolved quickly, (hot tub not operating correctly) Owners got us a gift card to a local business as an apology. House was VERY well equipped. Cant believe we didn’t even use any of the extras , game room stuff, bikes, etc. Only draw back, and it’s small is that each bedroom doesn’t have it’s own bathroom. The pool was great . Plenary of seating outside in deck and pool area. Great house I would rent again, definitely will look at their other rentals as well!

This house was amazing! Met Lucinda and Tom both in person and they were absolutely wonderful! The house (including kitchen) was fully stocked with everything we needed!!! We will sure be return renters to their propeties!!!

This was our first time staying on the West end of SGI and we absolutely loved it! The unobstructed views of the ocean were incredible and we watched the dolphins from the deck and living room windows everyday. Being able to come back from the beach and then enjoy the swimming pool in the evening was heaven. The hot tub was also a great way to relax at the end of our day. Tom and Lucinda were great to work with from the moment we booked our stay and were quick to respond to my husband with a question he had during our stay. We can't recommend this house enough. We stay on SGI twice a year and this has been my favorite stay so far with all the amenities this home provided. We are already looking at our dates for next year. Was our first time coming to SGI we love the house that we rented which was Lazy Daze from Tom and Lucinda. The house had everything you could ask for plenty of kitchen ware. We spent a lot of our time at the pool which my daughter loves to swim. I love the table arcade brought back some memories. Also loved the Island wasn’t commercialized very peaceful and relaxing!!! Thank you for letting us rent your beautiful house for a week!! I didn’t want to leave!! Hope to come back in the future!!

Our July stay at Lazy Days was wonderful. The well equipped kitchen made life so much easier. The house is clean and well cared for. We traveled to SGI with five adults, a five year old and a two year old. They loved the pool, the short walk to the beach, eating on the large deck and enjoying the view. The gates to the front and back decks are perfect for traveling with a two year old. The abundance of umbrellas to take to the beach along with beach folding chairs and even a cart to help carry it all to the beach made the whole thing even more enjoyable. Any questions I had were quickly answered by Tom and Lucinda before we left and during out stay. After a thirteen hour drive to arrive at SGI it was a wonderful experience. Thank you again.

Lazy Daze is a great First Tier home with excellant ocean views. It is a short walk to the beach, and centrally located on the Island. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The house was well appointed and the owners Tom and Lucinda were wonderful communicators and answered questions quickly. We loved the dining room and deck looking out over the ocean. I recommend renting from these owners.

Lazy Daze is a great home, with wonderful views and a VERY short walk to the beach trail. The kitchen amenities were perfect and we enjoyed eating all of our dinners outside while taking in the ocean view. The hot tub, game room and pool are a must! Tom checked in on us day 1 and they sent a follow up email, answering any questions promptly!

Tom and Luncinda thought about everything with this house and were so easy to work with. Lazy Daze was perfectly located to everything on SGI and had beautiful gulf views from the kitchen table and front deck. Super pet friendly! We have stayed at several properties over the years but Lazy Daze was by far the best as it had a great fenced in yard for our pups and the new deck with secure fencing and gates was a huge added bonus for us since it allowed us all to kick back and completely relax on the front deck without keeping the dogs on their leashes or worrying about them getting out. Our teenagers LOVED the game room downstairs, the bikes, pool and especially hammock where they spent several hours a day when not at the beach. We will definitely return in the coming years...just maybe a little later in Spring when it's a tad bit warmer. Nonetheless it didn't stop us Michiganders from taking a brisk dip in the pool and ocean. We definitely fell in love with SGI, the people, beaches, restaurants and Lazy Daze!

From day one, Tom and Lucinda were excellent to work with, taking time to answer all of our questions, and very communicative. The property was as described and the extra amenities were wonderful (bikes, games, detailed book with lots of useful and fun information, well equipped kitchen, etc.) After having a not so great rental experience in the past (NOT with these owners!!!) they set all of our worries to rest and we would not hesitate to rent from them again in the future! We had such fun exploring this section of the "Forgotten Coast" and look forward to a return trip in the future. Thanks so much Tom and Lucinda, for being excellent hosts!

om & Lucinda were terrific hosts. We were very happy with how well equipped the kitchen was since we have to cook most of our meals due to family member food allergies. The house must have been recently remodeled and is in great shape. Pool was clean and temperature perfect when there in October. Unfortunately we had to evacuate early from hurricane Michele and again owners kept us informed and what was expected of us to stay safe. Hope to return again in the near future.

Lazy Daze is a great place for a family vacationing. The pool, hot tub and gaming area are such a bonus. The house is well stocked and felt like home away from home.

We've been coming to the island for the last 15 years and this has been our favorite house so far! It is spacious, well-equipped and comfortable for all (including your furry friends) . We had a blast playing the arcade game (took us right back to childhood!) and loved the amenities this house offers. We will definitely be back next year...and the year after...

I took my Mom and my niece on vacation and we had a great time! Lazy Daze was very clean and well stocked. We did not want for anything. Tom was very responsive to phone calls and took care of us immediately. We will definitely be coming back. Loved it!!

We had a fabulous relaxing vacation at Lazy Daze! We really enjoyed the pool and arcade table. Though across the street from the beach, we still had a great view of the water and dolphins swimming in the morning. We are ready to book our next stay!

We stayed at Lazy Daze in mid-July of 2017. I have threee girls and they all loved having the pool in the backyard as well as the bikes that came with the rental. My wife and I enjoyed the close proximity to the beach (access across the street) and we really enjoyed sitting on the front deck in the morning for our daily view of dolphins cruising along the shoreline. We also brought our 2 dogs and they enjoyed playing in the island's dog friendly beaches. I would recommend this house and St. George Island to anyone looking for a place to really unwind and get away from the typical busy Florida beaches. We did have a few issues with light bulbs being out and the kitchen sink leaking but we notified the owners and the issues were taken care of that day. Great home, great location and excellent owners.

The house is perfect. The front balcony porch was great for relaxing in the warm sunshine, my dog loved the porch as well, watching the ocean and activity on the street below. Perfect placement on the island! Close to everything and still quiet. very nice surrounding neighborhood and beautiful homes. Fun walk to the shopping area for a refreshing lemonade in the late afternoon. House was really decorated beautifully, and beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. Kitchen was wonderful and dining area was perfect for sunset and ocean viewing. We really enjoyed our stay, and we loved everything about the house. No complaints at all!! Very easy ,close entrance to the beach boardwalk where I spent early morning and evenings walking my yellow lab who also had a great time and we were happy he could join us on vacation. Pool area was fun , private and refreshing. BBQing ribs and shrimp in back by pool- it was great!

Plenty of things to do in this house on a rainy day. The weather was great for us we spent much time riding the bikes and exploring the island. Beach access is about 1 block away. All in all we had a great family vacation and would book this house again.

The family and our two dogs stayed at Lazy Daze, SGI, last week. House was perfect for all of us, especially the dogs. With a group I’ve always had to be concerned about someone inadvertently letting the dogs loose.....not at Lazy Daze. The house was packed with entertainment and well stocked. The grandson said it was his favorite stay at SGI. We cooked all our meals at the house instead if out among the unmasked visitors. We’ll definitely stay at Lazy Daze again as it has been our favorite rental in the past eight years of renting on the island.

This was our second trip to St George Island and by far the BEST! Lazy Daze was the perfect spot for us and we're already planning to book it for our next trip.
