We have an elevator company contracted with us & do everything we can to be sure the elevator is working & that you are notified immediately if it is not. This is why we do not charge extra for the elevator, Internet, cable, bikes, or golf cart. We do everything we can to make sure they are in working order, and if you let us know of any problem, we work to take care of it immediately.

My group of nine friends from college stayed here for the week. I worried that I wouldn’t have much space to myself, but the house had an amazing common area where we could be social as well as enough space so each of us could have moments to ourselves. I spent so much time by the pool just across the street, but had just as much fun with movie nights and presentation night in the common area. Thank you for making our Spring Break so comfortable and worry-free!

We just returned home from a week at Calypso Light Haus. Although we had wind and rain every day of our stay, the house made staying inside a delight - and a bad day at the beach is better than a good day at work! :) Plenty of room for our 3 generation family to spread out, play games, sit quietly on any one of the several balconies, or take a nap. The house is beautiful, clean, stylishly decorated, well-equipped with everything anyone might need for inside or out, and the owners are very responsive to texts/calls. The only 2 items we could have used were a blender and mixer - however, we did fine without them. The pool right across the street is awesome and convenient and we practically had it to ourselves during the hours the sun actually came out. Beach access is easy both to the bay and further down at Mexico Beach where the water is more clear and there are portable bathrooms. We visited Stump Hole for the first time - Wow - and we went to the beach at the state park in Cape San Blas. We sure weren't ready to leave but....until next time...thank you!

The house is so nice, big, and beautiful! Looking out towards the back of the house you have incredible views of palm & pine trees. From the front of the house you have gasp-taking views of the bay; as well as, Port St Joe & Cape San Blas! I loved my stay here and hope to make this my annual family vacation get away!

Our vacation was much more than we ever anticipated upon the arrival to calypso lighthouse!!! The house was absolutely immaculate better than the pictures and so convenient to everything. Having the ocean just steps away and convenient to a golf cart ride to a restaurant was perfect. Also having four dogs right in front of you to fish off of after dinner was a plus!!! Perfect location and perfect home!!! Loved having the pool right in front of our house!! Kurt and Jane were wonderful to work with , and we will definitely be back again!!

The Haffners
Driving to Windmark Beach from Cincinnati only takes about 11.5 hours. It's just about a 7 hr drive From Nashville to Windmark. Better yet, once you hit Atlanta, it is only about 5 hours. The home is stunning, spacious, and has everything you need for a relaxing chance to rejuvenate. Looking forward to the vacay is fun, too, especially when you think about traveling to this piece of paradise which feels as if you're making it to the edge of the world. The grounds are perfect for alone time or bonding with others. The citrus trees are my favorite plants there b/c we were finally able to taste the very first nectarine. It was absolutely delicious. We also love that the lantanas which were some of my mother's fav summer plants grow year-round. The hawks & eagles can take your breath away, too, especially if you catch a glimpse of one while relaxing on one of the many screened-in balconies. Loved my stay over the Thanksgiving holiday at Calypso Light Haus! The home is spacious, modern, and definitely lives up to its lighthouse theme! It is mere steps from the pool which is essentially on the beach. The Haffners are fantastic hosts, easy with whom to communicate. I'll undoubtedly be staying here in the future!!

Amazing Calypso Light Haus! 2024 Availability: April, May, June, July, Aug., Sept., Oct, Nov., Dec.

Being in the gated community, you and your guests will feel safe and have the opportunity to enjoy 3 swimming pools, one of which is steps away from the beach house and overlooks the ocean! We call that the "Quiet" pool because it is only accessible to Phase 1 gated community owners and guests. (The newly redone bathrooms and showers there are also convenient when everyone is trying to get ready at the same time, occupying all 3 full baths and the half bath at the house.) There is also a small dog park in the Windmark development and access to restaurants, bars, shopping and ice cream shops. Plus it is only a short drive either way to the restaruants in Port St. Joe and Cape San Blas to the East or Mexico Beach to the West. We find Windmark to be the most convenient location in the area!
We fell in love with this newer (2016) custom-built 3-level beach house with elevator when trying to decide if we wanted to buy our vacation home in the Smoky Mountains or along the ocean. This home combines both the gorgeous views experienced when staying in a chalet amidst pine trees and serene water views with Cape San Blas in the distance. It has balconies with seating off of most of the rooms of the house. Most of the balconies are completely screened-in including screens under the decks to prevent any insects from joining the relaxation you deserve when being a guest at Calypso Light Haus. The top deck which allows for outdoor dining directly from the kitchen is completly screened-in, including the screens under the deck to keep any insects away. The front porch deck is not screened in which allows guests to feel one with nature while taking photos of the sunsets and/or stunning water views without obstruction from the screens. Likewise, one of the 4 balconies in the back also is unscreened for taking pictures of the sunrises, wildlife in the conservation area including cardinals, hawks, & a variety of other wildlife.
There is a lovely patio area on the ground level, surrounded by citrus trees, plants, sand, and a fire pit with seats, all of which allow guests to enjoy campfires, and cooler breezes in the evening, even when daytime temperatures climb above 90.
There are 5 sleeping areas and the house is 3 floors with an elevator for adult use only. A golf cart and bikes are included free of charge! The home includes 4 beach chairs and a beach umbrella as well as plenty of additional patio seating and campfire seating.
Well-behaved and groomed pets are sometimes permitted for an extra fee of $250 per week.
