DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Welcome to El Matador Resort, on beautiful Okaloosa Island.  The powdery, sugar-white sands found here are unique to this exclusive area, and if you are fortunate enough to vacation here, you'll experience a beach vacation like nowhere else in the US.  The island atmosphere of Okaloosa eliminates the crowded found in nearby Destin, while putting you within minutes of Destin Harbor and all of the attractions of the Emerald Coast.



El Matador Resort Unit 143 is the perfect condo for vacationing on Okaloosa Island.  This gated resort offers security for all guests, allowing only residents and guests to pass the security checkpoint.  Unit 143 is located in building 1, which is centrally located.  From you unit, you will have convenient access to the beach, pool, spa, tennis courts, gym, and community room.  An ocean view is present from your private fourth floor balcony and beach access is just a two minute walk from your condo.  



The living and dining area, which adjoin the private balcony, have an open floor space, offering room for your family to relax.  With features such as the large flat screen, wall-mounted tv to the smooth ceiling texture, nothing has been overlooked in regards to your comfort and enjoyment.  



The living room has a wall-mounted, flat screen tv for great entertainment.  The master bedroom and guest bedroom are also adorned with flat screen tvs.



The kitchen adjoins the dining area for more space and ease of setting the table.  Granite countertops and upscale appliances give this space a simple, yet luxurious feel...a perfect addition to this already magnificent vacation property.  



The bedrooms, with updated tvs and new bedding, offer the most comfort available in the El Matador Resort.  The bathroom is fully appointed with towels, tub and bath combination, and two vanity sinks.



We provide bed linens, blankets, bath towels, etc.  Please bring your own beach towels.  There are communal Washers and Dryers near the elevator lobby on each floor.



El Matador Resort is a gated resort, with a 24 hour security check point.  Spacious lawns and walking paths provide a peaceful getaway within the resort.  2 large pools offer fun for everyone.  A large exercise gym and his/her spas are also free to everyone staying in the resort.  There are basketball and tennis courts available to everyone, and a large reception hall may be reserved in advance for parties or meetings.



ABOUT THE AREA:

Okaloosa Island is part of a 30 mile stretch of continuous natural sand barrier.  The ocean here is typically as clear as any water can be, with an emerald green color unique to this small area.  The sands are pure white and powdery, like sugar, and the beaches are kept immaculately clean and safe by wonderful Okaloosa County authorities.  There is plenty of fun right here on the island, from putt putt golf, to outdoor grills to fine dining and night life.  We have a fishing pier just a mile away, which is also the home of the original Gulfarium Dolphin Exhibit.  Take the kids to the Gulfarium to see dolphins perform, as well as their friends the walrus, sea lions, and penguins.  They'll love it.



Okaloosa Island is located within Fort Walton Beach and near world famous Destin.  Destin, a beautiful 10 minute drive to the East, where she will meet you with  a picturesque view of the Destin Harbor at Harbor Walk Village.  Destin is home to the largest private Gulf Fishing Fleet and busiest charter deep sea fishing fleet in the Southeast.  If you are interested in good seafood, then just pick one of Destin's many dockside grills for a taste of the day's fresh catch.  



The more adventurous may enjoy a jet ski dolphin tour, or a parasailing adventure.  You may also find bungee jumping, go karting, golf, putt putt golf, water theme parks, outlet shopping and much more.  Bring your family to our beautiful coastline, and take home memories of a lifetime.

This unit is professionally managed, which ensures that you will receive friendly, professional service from reservation to departure.  Your vacation accommodations will be clean and functional.  We are local and provide same day assistance, and If you need anything during your stay, you can be assured that our courteous staff will be happy to assist you in any way.



COVID-19:

This property is available for occupancy.  Your health and safety are our top priorities and concern.  That is why we are implementing a rigorous cleaning regimen specifically targeted to clean and disinfect our property against Coronavirus with special emphasis on all high touch areas in our rooms and common areas.  All bed linens, bath, and kitchen towels are sanitized and changed between guests.  We ask all guests to exercise social distancing and preventative practices while in and on this property.



PROVISIONS:  

- Must be 25 yrs old to reserve and occupy this property.

- Check-In 4pm,     Check-Out 10am

- Completed and signed Rental Agreement must be received within 24 hours (via email)

- Vehicles are limited to passenger vehicles only.  No RVs or Trailers. (2 Vehicle Maximum)

- No Smoking in unit or on balcony
